(2003-07-18) — White House sources say British Prime Minister Tony Blair has sought asylum in the United States to avoid political persecution in his native land.
After his well-received speech yesterday to a joint session of Congress, the stalwart U.S. ally allegedly fled into Secretary of State Colin Powell’s office and requested protection from the British government.
