DNC Slammed for Abandoning Affirmative Termination
(2003-05-30) — Civil Rights groups slammed the Democrat National Committee (DNC) today for retreating from its original plan to fire 10 black employees in a cost-cutting move.
Attorneys for the groups said that the black workers have a right to be fired before their white counterparts.
“We call on the DNC to support the concept of affirmative termination,” said an unnamed civil rights attorney. “In our society, it has always been members of the dominant race who get preferential treatment. It’s about time our people shared in the birthright of the oppressors. The DNC must not abandon this core value.”
