This is all very interesting, but …
Wasn’t there some famous event that took place on this day? Some tragedy that resulted in a huge loss of human life? Something we ought to be remembering?
Ah! There ya go! On December 7, 1946, a fire at the Winecoff Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia killed 119 people, making it the deadliest hotel fire in United States history.
Not to mention, Noam Chomsky was born on December 7, 1928!
