(2002-12-22) — U.S. Senator Patty Murray, D-WA, who leaped to fame this week by pointing out how Usama Bin Laden has made the world a better place, today said that U.S. lawmakers, before every vote, should ask themselves ‘what would Bin Laden do?”
The Washington Senator has ordered her staff to send “WWBLD?” bracelets to Senate colleagues to help them remember this question.
“Mr. Bin Laden has been a moral exemplar in the third world,” said Sen. Murray. “He’s inspires all Democrats to remember that the loyalty of the people has a price. Mr. Bin Laden has used money to make people dependent upon him, and willing to ignore his indiscretions. If he were a U.S. citizen, he would be the Democratic nominee in 2004.”
