(2009-03-06) — When U.S. President Barack Obama meets with Queen Elizabeth II in advance of the G20 economic summit in April, Mr. Obama plans to continue his tradition of giving meaningful gifts to British dignitaries.
When Prime Minister Gordon Brown visited the White House this week, he received from the Obamas a collection of Top 25 American movies on DVD and his sons got toy versions of the president’s Marine One helicopter.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the president has also put a lot of thought into what gift to present to Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace.
White House insiders report Mr. Obama has narrowed it down to a CD box set, Queen: The Crown Jewels, or a queen-sized mattress.
At the moment, the music seems more likely, since the image of a bare-armed Michelle Obama, with rippling biceps, carrying the mattress into the palace might detract from the pageantry of the moment.

I believe the Queen likes to read. How about signed copies of Pres. Obama’s books. Plus an advance copy of his soon to be released new book: “How I Brought The Greatest Country On Earth To It’s Knees In Only 44 Days” or as it’s better known short title: “The Audicity Of A Dope”.

Terse negotiations ensued when this story leaked in Great Britain, with serious diplomatic consequences averted only after the Queen’s representatives were assured the CDs in question were cheap Disney-backed music recordings and not worthless FDIC-backed Certificates of Deposit.

But, hey, the information was not available on his teleprompter, his Blackberry, nor his podium LCD panel. With his head swiveleing like that of a person watching a tennis match and his baritone resonance in dramatic reading, Barry the Boy King surely dazzles the uninformed.
Maybe Ackbar can give the queen a piggy bank filled with Lincoln pennies. Queen Elizabeth II can have a choice of whether the bank should have the face of Soros, Frank, Raines, Dodd, Waxman, or Pelosi. Some Obamacoins and Mardi Gras coins would demonstrate the fine fiscal relationship that The One is cultivating between our nations.
In a personalixed YouTube video, Barry can lip-synch “We Will Rock You” while Michelle can demonstrate how to ride a bicycle in the dawning of the age of green with “Fat Bottomed Girls” provides the beat in the background.
