Public television?!!!? Our MSM is doing a fine job of jihad on the minds of Americans, as it is.

Poor Hillary looks as if she could use a shot of smart power herself in that photo. (Do Dems always rely on slogans that have been brand tested by their brain-dead followers?)

Diplomats at Hillary and bin Laden’s level tend to be rather cryptically subtle but the least substantial example, the stadium option, sounds ironically like the most substantial possibility.

  • 4 onlineanalyst // Jan 15, 2009 at 8:05 am

Remember when Obama claimed in his campaign rhetoric that the Bush administration had failed in not killing or capturing bin Laden? Well, now what our current president had accomplished years ago-neutralizing bin Laden’s Al Qaeda influence in the ME- is perfectly fine with THE ONE. In fact, that was Obama’s goal all along.

I guess that calling the status quo “smart power” is supposed to be the difference. You see, the Obama skill is all about branding the product and relying on the public’s need for a new face on the dollar bill.

Check out the agenda for the cretins coming to the Obamalooza:

These useful idiots gathering for the events over the next few days, weeks must have no jobs. They certainly are the tools of professional Marxist agitators-organizers.

Nothing says follower like camera-friendly meaningless gestures.

It’s too bad that the protestors have never had the experience of living under Saddam Hussein’s repressive regime or Castro’s or “Ahmadaboutjihad”’s or Mugabe’s or Odinga’s or that of a former Soviet-bloc nation. Their foolish gestures of protest would never have gotten off the ground.

It’s also too bad that they identify with alQaeda, Hamas, Hixbollah, CAIR, and the Muslim Brotherhood in their childish tantrums.

An enterprising and charitable soul should gather the thrown shoes, fumigate and sterilize them, and then send them off to those in need, either here or abroad.

I see that “et” is all atwitter about the upcoming events. It figures. (Stay classy, kid.)

Scott, Is it true Osama is collaberating with Harry Belefonte to pen a new song, “Man smart, Woman smarter, Jihad SMARTEST”?

    PS: The video’s are GREAT!!!

  • 8 upnorthlurkin // Jan 15, 2009 at 11:11 am

Congrats on the new format, Scott! My husband even got out of his LazyBoy to come and see what I was watching. I told you you had a wonderful voice!
A great mind once said, “If is for children. I would like to add, hope is for children. The adults in the country know success comes from hard work. The children have bought in to the easy way out ….getting even with the successful. What a shame.

And speaking of glow-ball(it’s the sun stupid)warming, (and I’m fully qualified since it’s -29° up here this morning) this guy has a quirky take on what’s in store once ‘the one’ takes over…

Hmmmm?!! Wonder why Barkey thought it’d be cool to wear a flag on his lapel now!?! What a putz.

    Love it, Scott!

  • 12 Ms RightWing, Ink // Jan 15, 2009 at 11:54 am

If all this news wasn’t so scary it would be funny.

-4 this a.m. Not cold like my Minnesota days but cold here in the Buckeye. Eh, I’m not leaving the bunker anyhow, but it has been over 2 weeks since I have been out and about.

    Cabin fever anyone.

  • 13 woodnwheel // Jan 15, 2009 at 12:19 pm

Ms RightWing: Just last night I was looking at pictures that a friend posted on Facebook of his most recent trip to Ukraine over the holidays (I know he was there for New Year’s, but I believe he was also there for Christmas). One of the pics he posted was of an outdoor thermometer that read -16. It took me a minute to realize that the thermometer reading was in Celsius, meaning that it was about 4 degrees Fahrenheit, but when I commented on it, my friend said that that was one of their “warmer” (relatively speaking) days. Anyway, all that to say that I know he can relate :)

Yup, 120 hours…..until The beginning of an ERROR

Hey, Hi, Hello and Howdy!! Scott, C.A.T, Mig, Hawkeye, Barb, Up North Lurkin, Paul, and Jenn.

Having lived in “The Lone Star State” for over 15 years, I’m qualified to ask that question.)

There’s always 10% who never get the word and that was me - clueless. I had never even heard of “Facebook” - that is until a couple of days ago when I began receiving e-mails informing me that I had been added to various Facebooks by folks that I treasure as some mighty fine friends. I’m still trying to figure it out - don’t worry, I’ll get it eventually. - Someday.

In the meanwhile, this past week has been a difficult challenge for me, physically. No need for the boring details, but suffice it to say that I have come to a new understanding of the meaning of “excruciating pain” (gleefully, happily and merrily I could have done well with much less understanding)

  • 19 woodnwheel // Jan 15, 2009 at 3:47 pm

Fred: So sorry to hear about your difficulties. I can’t remember when I last dealt with that kind of pain, but I can certainly empathize and sympathize with you!

    Scott……You Ott-a be in pictures!

  • 22 JamesonLewis3rd // Jan 15, 2009 at 5:39 pm

I agree most emphatically that we face dire prospects for the near future and we have the evidence all around us. I would further assert that the cave-in we are currently experiencing is the direct result of the election campaign and its outcome. The time for navel-gazing has slipped away. Objectivity and Logic must come into play. Anon. Toot Sweet, even.

I believe Scott Ott is and has been sounding the alarm but now he’s gone global in a big way. We need people like him to catch the ears and eyes of those that can’t see or hear—believe it or not through their eyes and ears. I’m pulling for you, Scott and the rest of the Otts, too.

I know there is a long history of the Democrat (aka Liberal) party’s undermining of the very fabric of our lives. I’m talking about the cornucopia of crises poured out upon our planet that we get to see in Real Time HD 24/7.

Sin has the upper hand and this may be our last stand. We all know that Almighty God has that pivot point where enough WILL BE ENOUGH.

Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,

And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.

Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.

Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).

Ephesians 6:13-18 [that's the Amplified version but the link goes to the NIV from which you may choose any (terrestrial) language you like]
    Thank you

Running a campaign is not the same as governing as Mr. Obama will soon find out. Karl Rove bids a welcome to the White House to Obama.

upnorthlurkin re#10, I am having a little bit of “Hope” for the Obummer Presidency, after seeing that he is going back on some of the promises he made to the left wing kooks. I am glad he is wearing a flag pin now, (if it is NOT just for show). Maybe he will actually place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem now, and at least learn how to give a proper military salute!

  • 27 RepublicanAttackMachine // Jan 15, 2009 at 10:23 pm

Off topic but, when did Oprah’s boyfriend change his name to Eric Holder?

boober re#20, Why did you respond to me here instead of on the “Golden Globes” thread? Maybe because you don’t want others to read my request for your verification?

Your side asks for links all the time, when we say something you find hard to believe, why don’t you do the same thing YOU ask for?

I think we ALL know the answer. ;-)

IF, (yes IF), you are a failed comedy writer, I am still thinking along the lines of “Saved by the Bell”, “Red Green”, or “Captain Kangaroo”, even if those are ABOVE your obvious talent level.

Here’s a good sign, an honest historian who is not a stark raving mad moonbat, Andrew Roberts:

[T]he cold light of history will absolve Bush of the worst conspiracy-theory accusation: that he knew there were no WMDs in Iraq. History will show that, in common with the rest of his administration, the British Government, Saddam’s own generals, the French, Chinese, Israeli and Russian intelligence agencies, and of course SIS and the CIA, everyone assumed that a murderous dictator does not voluntarily destroy the WMD arsenal he has used against his own people. And if he does, he does not then expel the UN weapons inspectorate looking for proof of it, as he did in 1998 and again in 2001.

Mr Bush assumed that the Coalition forces would find mass graves, torture chambers, evidence for the gross abuse of the UN’s food-for-oil programme, but also WMDs. He was right about each but the last, and history will place him in the mainstream of Western, Eastern and Arab thinking on the matter. …

When Abu Ghraib is mentioned, history will remind us that it was the Bush Administration that imprisoned those responsible for the horrors. When water-boarding is brought up, we will see that it was only used on three suspects, one of whom was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, al-Qaeda’s chief of operational planning, who divulged vast amounts of information that saved hundreds of innocent lives.

Today [Iraq's] GDP is 30 per cent higher than under Saddam, and it is free of a brutal dictator and his rapist sons.

The number of American troops killed during the eight years of the War against Terror has been fewer than those slain capturing two islands in the Second World War…. As for civilians, there have been fewer Iraqis killed since the invasion than in 20 conflicts since the Second World War.

Iraq has been a victory for the US-led coalition, a fact that the Bush-haters will have to deal with when perspective finally - perhaps years from now - lends objectivity to this fine man’s record.

    Read the whole thing here.

Glory Be ! On the day we had the Miracle on the Hudson and the day our President said goodby to the nation, our very own Mack and his wife have just today become the proud parents of a healthy little baby boy, Benjamin Charles, born about 3 hours ago. Congratulations out there to Mack and his wife with their new little miracle of life !

OH Thank you so much Vittles Scooper,I have been sitting by my PC all day waiting for that “got mail “sound, and I kept telling myself,”Mack isn’t going to rush home to his computer just to tell you the baby is here ,He’s going to be at the hospital soaking up every moment”, but still I was getting uneasy. I am so happy for them.

Smart Jihad? So everything before was ‘Stupid Jihad’? Something like products labeled as ‘New & Improved’ implying that previous versions were ‘Old & Inferior’?

  • 34 baragirl // Jan 16, 2009 at 12:33 am

Like Kerry was going to “Do it Smarter”. Don’t they have to figure our just what smart means first?
And when the package says ‘New and Improved , I just assumes it means “New and Inferior” And I really love it when it says it is “Condensed” and “you will only need to use half as much” . I know that means ,they have added more water.

  • 36 RepublicanAttackMachine // Jan 16, 2009 at 8:35 am

CONGRATULATIONS Mack! God bless, you and your family!!!

baragirl: Most Dimocrats think they know what “smarts” means because when they were growing up, almost everthing they did was so stupid they got a slap from their parents, to which they replied, “Ouch,-that smarts”!

Little has changed, except they now don’t receive the slap! ;-)
