Palin Sorry RNC Wasted Cash on Her Clothes

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 87 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2008-10-23) — Vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin today apologized to Republican supporters after expense reports revealed that the Republican National Committee used about $150,000 to buy designer clothing for her in September.

“I’m sorry we wasted your hard-earned campaign contributions,” said Gov. Palin. “When you think of how that money could have been spent, you realize what a terrible decision it was to buy clothes for me to wear out there on the campaign trail.”

Gov. Palin said that “Rather than squander that money with retail merchants and textile workers, it might have been more prudent to invest it in political consultants who earn six-figure salaries for devising clever slogans like ‘Obama: Not Ready’.”

“We also could have used it to put a few ads on MSNBC or in The New York Times,” she said. “Goodness knows those folks could use the money. And that kind of cash would certainly buy several big boxes of multi-colored balloons and confetti, or maybe even get us a fancy new paint job for the Straight Talk Express.”

RNC officials admitted to the shocking expenditure today when reporters asked about a budget line item labeled simply: ‘Gilding the Lily’.

’tis the lily which makes the gilting shine.

At least it wasn’t a full-scale mockup of Air Force One like, oh, I don’t remember, one of the Parties had in Denver.

Funny.. imagine if she wore the same clothes each time.. and imagine how they would laugh at her if she wore the BLUE dress after the RED dress but it was the GREEN dress before the RED dress last week.

Where’s the LOVE? At least she’s not wearing MAN clothes like hillary.

She’s HOT (Sara, not hillary for gosh sake)

I believe we all know what would have been said about Sarah if she had campaigned with clothes bought off the rack at J.C. Penny.

The libs would have rolled out Mr. Blackwell!

    Or is it Ms. Blackwell?

Sometimes I cannot tell the gender of these libs, just likke those here.

That particular lily is in no need of gilding. :-)

Perhaps, RAM, the misspent moola was intended as a goodwill gesture to keep the recently departed Mr. Blackwell from having to roll over in his grave over Caribou Barbies duds.
It’s probably their fault he died!

During today’s “O’Bama Fest” in Indy, the NBC affiliate used the Noon news hour to broadcast the ENTIRE speech. The other two local channels showed brief cuts, (same as they did for Sarah’s visit. That is what WTHR-13 Indianapolis did for Palin too.

    NBC needs the “fairness Doctrine”.

I also remember when Ronald Reagan ran for President (BOTH times) it was against election law to show ANY of his movies.

Why then is it OK for the LINK network on DirecTV showing the 2 hour, 2007 documentary, “Senator Obama goes to Africa” twice a day?

  • 8 RepublicanAttackMachine // Oct 23, 2008 at 9:49 pm

Ms Lioness, I am sorry, I really did not know Blackwell had passed. Although I should have hearing the “silence” after seeing some of the outfits the Hollywood elite, and Nancy Pilosi outfits.

Speaking of Nan, which is worse, the RNC buying outfits for Sarah, with RNC donor funds, or Nan jetting around in a jumbo jet at TAXPAYER expence?

At today’s O’Bama rally, “Number Two”, kept stammering his words, (I-I-I, and he-he-he), I don’t know if that was more irritating or the woman who sounded like a Palestineian with the yell I can only describe as a Muslim “yodel”.

    Here’s the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27345380/

PS: As a former union Presideent, I received a letter last week from the AFL-CIO saying, “A friend of Union is under attack and we need your boots in the streets!”

I bring this up because after the speech, there was what the local press called, “An unscheduled march to the Stae House and then City Hall”!

It was not KNOWN maybe, but WAS scheduled!

Then they all demanded to vote today! Probably because O’Bama said, “— vote early you-you-you never know if your car may break down election night.”

The you-you-you is another stuttering episode from “Number Two”. Maybe he should be checked out by a doctor and then release the results. As bad as #2 would be can you imagine Prez Biden?

Hypocrites. Even Joe The Bummer Biden would agree that’s why Barry needs to be selected Pres. So his Brother can find that three lettered thing” that’s on everybodys mind: “J-O-B-S”

I wonder why I have not seen the “heartwarming reunion” video of #2 and granny?

I though sure we would see a video of #2, (in slow motion), entering granny room, then running to her “white arms” with Barbara Steisand’s “Memories” playing in the background.

Maybe because #2 is REALLY at the Hawaii “hall of birth records”? Just MY opinion!

  • 12 Darthmeister // Oct 23, 2008 at 10:12 pm

Can’t wait until the national socialist media tells us how much DNC money the wife of messiah has spent on her clothes and makeover.

Next time Saracuda needs to shop at the Salvation Army … but then the journalists would be whining about her spending too much time in religious establishments - not that Obambi’s twenty years in a whacked- out, conspiracy -addled black nationalist church was an example of him “clinging to his religion.”

  • 13 Darthmeister // Oct 23, 2008 at 10:22 pm

Newsweek reporter Michael Hastings, while covering the presidential campaign, entertained fantasies about “taking out” Rudy Giuliani.

And now he’s talking openly about it, and about his underhanded dealings with the John McCain campaign, as he pretended to be friendly and sympathetic while looking for every negative angle possible.

He doesn’t even seem to be self-conscious about revealing what a dishonest, biased scumbag he is.

HACK: CONFESSIONS OF A PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN REPORTER.

The reality is: I quickly realized Rudy was a maniac. I had a recurring fantasy in which I took him out during a press conference (it was nonlethal, just something that put him out of commission for a year or so), saving America from the horror of a President Giuliani. If that sounds like I had some trouble being “objective,” I did. Objectivity is a fallacy. In campaign reporting more than any other kind of press coverage, reporters aren’t just covering a story, they’re a part of it—influencing outcomes, setting expectations, framing candidates—and despite what they tell themselves, it’s impossible to both be a part of the action and report on it objectively. In some cases, you genuinely like the candidate you’re covering and you root for him, because over the long haul you come to see him as a human being.

In my case, it was easy to despise Rudy. … I wasn’t alone in the press corps. I don’t think I spoke to another journalist who ever said one good thing about the man. What did we say? We made fun of his divorces and his wives, that he’d married a second cousin, that he surrounded himself with corrupt cronies, that he had a poor relationship with his children, etc. We talked about his megalomania and his cynical exploitation of September 11.

Still, I ate meals with staffers and campaign managers. I tried to say things that would make me appear sympathetic to Rudy while not technically lying. (“Wow, he sure seems popular.” “I was in New York on 9/11, and I have to be honest with you, I was glad Rudy was in charge.”) I tried to stay out of any discussion about issues and to just repeat the mantra to myself: I am here to observe and record, observe and record.

But never forget, despite being liberal Democrats carrying Independent Party cards, journalists are always objective truth tellers. Heh!

At least this fake was an honest liar. Just think about how many other “objective liberal journalists” are “shaping the news.”

Ms. Lioness, re #9: “Barry” has a better plan for his “Bro” in Kenya. After the election, Prez “O” will fly him here and spread the wealth to him using OUR tax dollars, NOT his!

Then his bro will also qualify for “Reparations”, and be eligible to run for the new Senate seat(s), or House seat(s) for the new State of Washington, D.C.

And Je$$e and $harpton thought they were a “lock” for those new gigs! ;-)

Citing one of my favorite thinkers, Thomas Sowell, who defines an Obama presidency “a point of no return,” Robinson adds to these thoughts: http://www.forbes.com/opinions/2008/10/23/thomas-sowell-election-oped-cx_pr_1024robinson.html

The whole Obama campaign has been riddled with elements of fraud. From the bogus contributions using false identities, ACORN thuggery, the absence of any of Obama’s records, the aggression against McCain/Palin supporters, and so on, the fascism of the Left raises eyebrows and hackles regarding the ethics of the Democrats and their MSM enablers, who ignore facts crying out for investigation and exposure.

“I think Hillary Clinton was held to a different standard in her primary race,” Palin said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune posted on the newspaper’s Web site Thursday night. “Do you remember the conversations that took place about her, say superficial things that they don’t talk about with men, her wardrobe and her hairstyles, all of that? That’s a bit of that double standard.”

Black Hawk Down - in the closing pages (page 410) the author writes:

“The idea used to be that terrible countries were terrible because good,
decent, innocent people were being oppressed by evil, thuggish
leaders…..Here you have a country where just about everyone is caught up
in hatred and fighting. You stop an old lady on the street and ask if she
wants peace, and she’ll say, yes, of course I pray for it daily. All the
things you’d expect her to say. Then ask her if she would be willing for her
clan to share power with another in order to have that peace, and she’ll
say.”With those murderers and thieves? I’d rather die first.” People in
these countries…..don’t want peace, they want victory. They want power.
Men, women, old and young…….people in these places bear much of the
responsibility for things being the way they are. The hatred and the killing
continues because they want it to. Or because they don’t want peace enough
    to stop it.”

Everytime I hear of violence toward INNOCENT CITIZENS, it is the LIBS committing it, whether it is Wm Ayes, the Black Panthers, riots after criminal thugs like Rodney King get roughed up a bit, or Obama’s Muslim facist buddies who contribute to his campaign and say they support him?

OT but timely. I was wondering where the news coverage of voter registration fraud went. It seems to have died quietly. Then thest thoughts occurred to me:

It’s amazing how we’ve established a system as important as the selection of our leaders, with so little concern for its integrity! Worse, any attempt to implement sane, rational safeguards are met with almost-violent opposition. ACORN comes immediately to mind.

You would think that the self-appointed watchdogs of national morality (the “news” media) would be in the middle of efforts to ferret out frauds and crooks. You would think.

I subscribe to a magizine called “World”. It is a Christian-based newsmag. The current issue has a long article by one Marvin Olasky, who was once one of those 60s radicals. He was writing about his memories of the late 60s and early 70s, when he was a student at Yale, including the 500,000 student anti-war protest in DC. As I read it, my mind went back to those days and rekindled a resentment and hate I felt back then. Then it hit me, why I feel such hatred for today’s Democrats and “press” (mostly the latter): They’re for all practical purposes the same mindset, if not the same people grown older; still as “anti-establishment” as ever even though they now are the “establishment” and threatening to complete the job with an Obama presidency.

A lot of talk about Sarah’s wardrobe and it’s cost being paid by RNC. If I recall Mrs. William Clinton’s wardrobe was paid for by the DNC.

Looking good is called “The cost of Overhead” A fine new Coach or an airplane leased with a personalized paint job.A rack of suits for the men and dresses or pantsuits for the women. During the primaries Mrs. Clinton had a choice of 7 pantsuits @ a cost of over $6,000 each. although for the publicity received a lot is either donated or sold at cost.

According to multiple reports, “About half of American doctors in a new study regularly give their patients placebo pills without telling them.” First of all, that’s a rather silly “revelation” — placebos work because you don’t tell the patient.

But they do indeed work, and very well. That why half of the two major U.S. political Parties follow the same prescription and give patients voters placebo promises that work by merely sounding good.

D’j'all see the story from the AP about Muslim Patriotism? I understand that it would be difficult for American Muslims to be trusted after 9/11, in a perfect world things would be different. But it is not because we are a bunch of racists and religious bigots. FDR wasn’t king to Japanese Americans either, and even though it isn’t necessarily “fair”, it is going to be that way. FDR had his responsibility to protect this nation during a time of war and he took precautionary measures.
But my take on the story was that some of you hayseeds out there are thinking Obama is a Muslim, but he is a Christian. But even if he were a Muslim, he is still capable of being just as patriotic as anyone else, so you can relax and vote for him even if he is really a Muslim.
I submit to you that a Christ loving Christian wouldn’t spend 20 minutes in BO’s church. You can dismiss it as just being my opinion, but it is more than that.
As for a Christian that chooses to vote for Obama, they must believe that abortion is not sin, and that God will not bring judgment on a nation that tolerates the practice. Oh, that’s right, God is love and there is no reason to have any fear of him. After all, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind ~” II Timothy 1:7
No need to bring up the “Uno’s” support of Odinga’s effort to overthrow a Christian government and establish it as a Muslim nation under Sharia Law. I’m sure that is what any good Christian would do to help out his kinfolk.
You might try asking the trolls some pointed questions, but they will not answer you when it comes too close to the truth.

So let’s try to image that BO is elected president and both houses of Congress go to unanimous dem control, now BO is picking his Attorney General. First choice? Bernadine Dohrn…
    Secretary of Education? Bill Ayers…
    Who’s gonna stop it?

Don’t you like how the Obamatons rush to embrace scumbags of every type? For example, Scott McClellan was nothing more than a scumbag, neo-con shill who was the mouthpiece of Bu$Hitler himself. Now that he genuflects before Obamessiah, he’s “seen the light” and is now one of them. Of course it doesn’t really change the fact he’s still a scumbag, right?

And Colin Powell. For four years the anti-war left haaaaaated Colin Powell for being a toady scumbag who “lied before the UN” and yes, another henchman of Bu$Hitler who should be brought before a war crimes trial. Maybe that’s why Colin now worships before The Chosen One … so he won’t be brought before the Democrat Grand Inquisitors headed by blowhard Biden.

    JL3rd,

What amazes me is how Obamaton sheeple are so blinded by the light of ObaMao teleprompter that they can’t see the obvious. There is little question that ObaMao and Biden tacitly approved of how their 527s and media sycophants attempted to destroy a mainstream mom with 5 children and Joe the Plumber because they had the courage to say the Democrats’ emperor had no clothes.

Watching yet another example of liberals engaging in the politics of personal destruction, aided and abetted by the national socialist media, pretty much demonstrated the latent fascism of American liberalism. It was the slimiest, crudest, most disgusting display of hypocrisy that I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime, particularly coming from liberals who paint themselves as being “compassionate”, “understanding”, and “open-minded.” Freaking jackals have more class.

BTW, what’s interesting is when the left whines about how the McCain campaign “smears” Obama, what they are really saying is McCain is telling too much truth about Obama and they don’t want to hear it, i.e. Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, ACORN, phony birth certificate which was removed from Obama’s own website, Wright, Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Rezko, Davis, “share the wealth”, FISA, NAFTA, little actual accomplishments, etc.

I doubt that B.O. is a Muslim. I believe he’s too tied up in and on himself and his own religion of Obamaism to be in any other religion. He has been called “The One”; “The Messiah” “Our Saviour”, etc., etc. so that he has come to believe his own press releases.

His religion of Obamaism preaches the doctrine of ultra liberal liberalism.

Communism/Socialism = 2 sides of the same coin. As a socialist, he promotes and supports abortion, homosexuality, big government, etc. Islam does not. He and Mrs. Clinton are so alike politically that there is little difference, except that he is worse.

I caught a bit of Lady Sarah Palin chatting with Hannity on my way home today and I heard something that I hadn’t noticed about her and her family. While all of the others on the ticket are millionaires and talk about middle class tax breaks. The Palins are middle class America, they are more in touch than anyone in Washington, DC have ever been! I think they should be using that angle, it was a negative when they claimed Bush was out of touch with the American people, the Joe the Plumbers of the country that make it work. Joe has been pointing out who is out of touch, it is Mr. Tax-n-spend Obama…
I have a new democrat slogan, “Taxing you like there’s no tomorrow, just because we can.”
I don’t think Obama will need to increase taxes too much though, once he guts the military, cancels future weapons programs, and gives up in Iraq…maybe he’ll only need an additional 3/4 trillion.

I see you have been taking that blue pill all along, neverthink. Deep, deep peaceful sleep while your nation takes a turn down the path of neo-communism with an unaccomplished rube like Obama at its helm. Is your hate so deep that you’re willing to trust a man with a whole nation that you didn’t even know about three years ago and now only know very little about because of what the national socialist media selectively tells you?

After all the counter-documentation we’ve provided here over the last eight months, I guess you think evil neo-cons made those things up about your darling messiah, eh?

We’ve provided an alternate but documented view of ObaMao, his strange and willful associations, his documented lies, his double-talk, his flip-flops, his rank inexperience and his lack of genuine accomplishments and you spit on us!

Apparently the only thing you care to know about Obama is what a bunch of liberals posing as journalists are telling you day in and day out. Can’t you open your eyes (oh, I forgot you took that blue pill), the national socialist media is IN THE TANK for Obama? How in the world can you even know the man if you never heard of him just three short years ago and those entrusted with truly vetting candidates - warts and all - refuse to dispassionately report this man’s lies, obfuscations and highly questionable associations? A space alien landing here and listening to the media would think Obama was the most perfect man on the planet!

So go back to playing with your crayons and leave us adults alone. You’re not the least bit interested in any truth but that which you think you know in the vanity of your own mind. Despite McCain’s own foibles and imperfect humanity, he is infinitely more qualified to be POTUS than your messiah. What a lemming.

    Democrat definitions:

“Negative campaigning” — Your opposition saying bad things about the guy you support, even if they are true.

“Positive campaigning” — The guy you support saying bad things about his opposition, even if they are lies.

    Obama’s:

    flip-flopping

    deceitful campaign tactics
    mendacious concealment

    long term associations

It’s generally true that you can know the man by the company he keeps and Obama is never far from long-term friendships with and indebtedness to American-haters … many American-haters as it turns out. There’s simply something wrong with that picture. Jesus associated with sinners to change them and save them, Obama associated with terrorists and American-haters in order to take the next step up the political ladder. But I suppose none of that can bother those blinded by the light of messiah’s teleprompter.

  • 74 mindknumbed kid // Oct 24, 2008 at 10:01 pm

Now now, facts don’t matter. The hate for Bush and republicans is enough to take precedence over anything.
I’ve decided that how we are going to “pay” for anyone’s proposals is irrelevant, as there apparently is no limit on Uncle Sam’s MasterCard. Now they are talking about another round of stimulus checks, why not just eliminate all taxes on American citizens? Obviously the supply from Washington is endless.
Darth - Like their messiah said, “just words, just (posts) speeches, all meaningless to the Obamatons.

SGT USMC 1ea re: #46. I think most know here I served my Country from, 1972 thru 1978, and have an Honorable discharge also. I would just use this analogy with “the troll”.

If I serve my Country, and then DEMAND to be thanked by others while at the same time making fun of a REAL military hero, who walks “funny” because he wasa a POW so trolls like him can make fun of Christians and Conservatives on a site he KNOWS is mostly that, just to be a stumbling block and cause chaos, then I do NOT consider him a Patriot ANYMORE! WAIT, that is EXACTLY what the “troll” did/does!

I feel like you do about McCain, but there is no other choice if we want America to continue! I would not for a minute disparage his service or make fun of war his injuries.

I will continue to say the “troll” has disparaged his own service to this Country by making false accusation such as he does above about “beer glasses”. I have not had a drop of alcohol since Jesus removed that vice from me in 1997.

The “troll” is A-typical of libs in that he comes into a place where there are dissenting voices and tries to get the people here feuding between themselves. I believe that is of the devil, and NOT of GOD! I do not go on lib websites. I feel they have a right to voice their opinions without someone trying to cause dissention, The difference is, you could compliment some there and they would STILL call you names and almost ALL would include the most vile profanity! Don’t thionk for a minute that he/it would not be using that same profanity here if he didn’t know Scott would toss him!

Sorry my friend, but I think you are on the wrong side on this issue. Pray about this and ask GOD if we shouldn’t reject stumbling blocks. I think people have been lulled into trying too hard to bring some people to the LORD, and then we fall into satan’s trap!

GOD says if they will not listen to “shake the dust from our feet”. I am not going to keep trying to save someone who obviously isn’t here for that, rather to cause trouble. I believe GOD wants us to help people who want help!

What is the logical answer to the question “What is 2+2?”?. If your logical analysis is different from mine then one of us is wrong. It is the same way with all absolute truths. Most decent colleges provide courses in logic that are beneficial.

According to NBC, Obama is spending $283,000 an hour in October for his campaign.

Nice work for somebody who loves to spend OPM (other people’s money), eh?

In his tax-plan boondoggle, Obama forgets that the government has confiscated the wealth of its citizens in order to feed its own rapacious appetite. To turn around and “give back” via “rebates,” especially to those who have no federal tax liability, is a shameless shell game based on class envy. It presumes that citizens cannot decide for themselves how to save, spend, and give to charity.

His plans to punish corporations, big or small, with taxes has diminishing returns. Costs of items will go up because corporations will pass along the punitive extra taxation. Or businesses/corporations will reduce the work force to contain costs. Or more jobs will be outsourced for the same reason. Obama’s plans are no-growth plans.

RE Obama’s campaign wealth: There are lots of theories about where Obama’s cash has come from- especially in an economy that is “worse than the Depression”.

Untoggling security features is one such theory. Another is that massive numbers of below-the-FEC-radar amounts of pre-paid credit cards have bought and paid for in support of the zero candidate. These cards are untraceable and provide the Chicago-machine candidate a plausible deniability. Who has massive amounts of money to affect a national election? I leave it to your imagination.

What a waste it is that some Americans would consider giving the power to manage their country and their futures to a candidate who has never managed even a mom-and-pop store, who finds profit to be a dirty word, and who thinks that propping up the disasters of urban areas that have been mismanaged through giveaways is the solution to our nation’s health.

Obama values the collective over the individual. He wants to reward takers and punish givers. His Animal Farm mentality is worthy of Mugabe.

O/T - Prov. 15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
Prov. 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Sometimes I think Maxine should run for president. She was right on with this one!

Everyone concentrates on the problems we’re having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida …

Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It’s a win-win situation.

+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.

+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.

+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today ? Yes ?

    Think about this one:

    1. Cows
    2. The Constitution
    3. The Ten Commandments

    C O W S

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

    T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq …. Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.

    T H E 1 0 C O M M A N D M E N T S

The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:
You cannot post ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal,’ ‘Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,’ and ‘Thou Shall Not Lie’ in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians…It creates a hostile work environment.

Glad you are back,no apology needed.

  • 85 RepublicanAttackMachine // Oct 25, 2008 at 1:02 pm

SGT USMC 1ea: No need for an apology my friend! I KNOW I could handle things with the trolls better, it is just that the comment he made about McCain walking like the Penguin in Batman angered me so much that I “lost it”, and then he came back at one of the regular posters with an “almost” demand to thank him for his service. THAT is wrong for ANYONE to do!

I will ALWAYS respect someone’s service to their Country, whether it be military, police, firefighter, or even a politician who “serves” their constituents, (NOT sure there are many, IF ANY though), BUT, if they do something later in life, then THAT is the thing I will define them as. For example, John Kerry painting ALL of Vietnam era soldiers as “baby killers”, Lee Harvey Oswald “aledgedly” killing JFK, or Timothy McVeigh bombing a building.

It seems it is ONLY the left that brings up Military service as an excuse, when their people are “caught with their hand in the cookie jar”.

Another good example is John Murtha. If it is a choice to respect his service, or that of the Military people’s service he so often ravages, I will stand with the ones he slams so often! Serving one’s Country does NOT excuse the rest of one’s life of being a moron who does NOT think before he puts his mouth in gear.

Although, I guess we should be thankful for idiots like him, Biden, and “B.O.” who because they do not think before opening their mouths, tell us who they REALLY are and what they REALLY will do!

Again, please do not hesitate to say what you feel because, in this case it made me realize I could have handled myself better!

I am really starting to believe that most politicians have no understanding of economics. They go to Washington with dreams of programs they hope will win favor with voters with no consideration of the economic consequences.
I’m fairly certain that BO doesn’t hasn’t even thought about economics,he just has some social ideas he is longing to implement. He may only want the job for his own self-interests, not necessarily to do what is good for America as a whole. Those racial/social issues may get him lots of votes, but not be good for our future.
So what is he offering conservatives to attract our votes? Nothing. He talks about reaching out, and working across party lines. Just talk. It’s pretty hard to bring together conservative ideology and liberal ideology and reach a compromise acceptable to either one, as the the cause is usually rooted in ideology. But the “one” is not even making an attempt to attract conservative Christians. Probably because we couldn’t vote for him unless we had our brains removed for the day.
