(2008-08-29) — Sen. Barack Obama today slammed his Republic opponent John McCain as “a sexist who sees women as subordinate to men and who intentionally puts them in his shadow,” just minutes after Sen. McCain announced he had selected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.
“What could be more denigrating to women?” Sen. Obama asked a crowd of supporters in western Pennsylvania. “I think it’s shameful that Mrs. Palin’s name will always be mentioned after McCain’s and that she’ll earn less money than he will. American women are tired of being put in their place by men — treated as second-class citizens.”
Sen. Obama, who chose an elderly white man name Joe Biden as his running mate rather than his rival Sen. Hillary Clinton, said he avoided picking Mrs. Clinton “to spare her the humiliation that John McCain plans to impose on Sarah Palin.”
“The only way she’ll be able to break into the old-boy network of the presidency,” said Sen. Obama, “is over John McCain’s dead body. McCain is literally the man who stands in her way.”

I’ve seen Rush excited before! Like when the e-bay sale of Dingy Harry’s smear letter brought $2,100,100.00 Rush quote: “The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation was the charity here, and they have received $4.2 million now from Betty Casey and from me. Rush was ecstatically beside himself in his happiness. but even that paled today as he displayed his hilarious joy at Sarah’s being picked as McCain’s V.P. choice. Totally out of character he turned his program over to broadcasting John’s introduction speech and Sarah’s acceptance speech.
He suggested that Obama and Biden should leave for the Gulf and stop the approaching Hurricane so as to prepare for “Hurricane Sarah†that is about to hit them. (Her nickname is “Barracudaâ€) - She and her husband are ardent hunters and fishers.
Back in May JWR did a piece on her titled “McCain, here’s your VP†so I was already praying for her even though as of last night it looked pretty sure for Gov. Tim Paulenty to get the nod. My God is an awesome God who answers prayer even when I was thinking His answer was “Noâ€. - Fooled me!

Former Miss Alaska contestant who won Miss Congeniality, (there’s not female Dem who can lay claim to being congenial regarding anything),
Lifetime member of the NRA (can’t you she the wildlife trophies she’ll have hanging on her office walls?)
Walks the walk on pro-life issues!
This nominee has more real life experience than either Obama or Biden.
She has fought corruption within her own party in Alaska and is know as a true reformer.
She has and will continue to work for American energy independence.
Alaskan’s for the most part are people who are very self reliant, and have a no nonesense approach to life. She is a breath of fresh air in this stale campaign. I was hoping McCain would pick a strong conservative. He did not let us down this time. For the first time I feel really jazzed about this election.

I would wonder, how much warning the Democrats really had before this rolled over them. I can hear Howard Dean shrieking from here much as he did when he got spanked in Iowa oh those four years ago. It’s warmer here today than it was that night. As I recall it was below zero has he whooped up his loss. Today it’s about 80. Same result.
This puts a new twist in the donkey tails that’s for sure. Even if I am still a little luke warm about McCain this will make the election entertaining. I look forward to the debates. Charles Manson made a strange comment after the first day of testimony in the Tate - Labianca trial. He was quoted as saying “We were doing ok until the trial started.”

If you can believe it, this was a recent Orwellian headline by AP writer Ron Fournier. This disgusting piece of biased trash is so laughable in that Fournier admits Palin has two terms of mayoral executive experience and two years as governor of Alaska! What is Obama’s executive experience … a big fat zero! What an intellectual pygmy … and an intellectually dishonest one at that.

As Hannity says, JL3rd, “Let not your heart be troubled.” Palin knows energy issues quite well and has fought aggressively for the construction of the trans-Canadian pipeline. All areas of energy are on the table for her, but she is realistic about using the wealth of American resources that we have, necessary for our national security and our economy.

I was just reading an article about ways how Biden could counter Palin. One suggestion was for him to flex his level of experience and try to get her to look weak, hopefully get her to refer to McCain’s experience instead of her own.
This got me to thinking just how lopsided this is; for the VP candidate to have more experience than the presidential candidate.

I knew it was a joke as soon as I heard it, but that’s because I know that they know that God would not find such a prayer humorous and that, therefore, they would never pray for such a thing.

I ain’t seen him this excited since he gave the lever a pull for Jimmah! Utopian dreams got him feelin’ all warm and fuzzy again. Separate your Godly conscience from your soul and join him as he travels down the old Utopian Highway, the final destination is beyond human comprehension.

If the “Utopian Highway” is the only road out of the desolation brought by the last eight years of Republican rule, I suggest you get an early start, because the traffic will be very heavy!!!
