Iran Threatens to Photoshop Israel from Map

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 68 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2008-07-12) — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said his nation’s missile tests this week are part of a previously-secret plan to “Photoshop Israel from the map.”

Images of the missile tests showed apparently-real, as well as computer-generated duplicates of Shahab missiles, which Iran claims have a range of up to 1,250 miles — long enough to strike Israel — a claim which has since been questioned by Western arms experts.

Mr. Ahmadinejad said that while it may take years to produce actual weapons that could strike “the Zionist state”, Iranian scientists and graphic artists have already demonstrated the ability, using Adobe® technology to “completely obliterate” Israel from the map.

“We can do it at a moments notice,” he said, “Even now I have my finger on the button of a device that can make the borders and all the cities of Israel vanish in seconds.”

Now you see it… Now you don’t!

Actually, I use the GIMP myself… a good open-source alternative to Photoshop. (Can’t beat the price.)

    Thanks Scott!

I could GIMP-out Israel in no time on THIS map.

  • 4 onlineanalyst // Jul 12, 2008 at 7:58 am

It has been confirmed. Now we know that Iran not only is run by a literal mad man and mullahs but also has a virtual offensive weapons system.

I cannot remember where I saw a commenter’s post that Obama’s plan to exit Iraq was worked out using plastic toy soldiers. The execution was flawless, according to the presumptive Dem candidate. Heh!

OLA Re#4: “… a virtual offensive weapons system.

You’ve perfectly linked the current thread and the last — Obama threatens serious talk, and Ahmadinejad responds with V.O.W.S.

“Support the Troops! End the War of Words!”

Moving briefly to a topic touched on in the last thread, I’m sure many here can improve upon and add to Obama’s rendition of the great Bobby Darin song which we might call “Jackson’s Knife.”

“Oh that Sharpton, has such teeth, dear,
And he shows them, pearly white,
He don’ scare me, half so much as,
    My ‘friend’ Jesse, Jackson’s knife.”

OT — WaPo says Gramm Was Right… Sure, gas prices are high (compared to a few months ago). Yeah, some homes are in foreclosure. OK, stocks are in a bear market.

But if it wasn’t for the “whining” of the Dems, the media, and both presidential candidates (who take their cue from the media), I don’t think things would be as bad as they are…

It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. Keep telling people things are bad long enough, and pretty soon they’ll start acting like it is… which only makes things worse.

Dems want things to be “bad” so Obama’s message of “hope” and “change” rings true. And they never gave any credit to Bush when things were “good”.

I mean, it’s not this is the “Great Depression” or anything. Sheesh.

  • 12 Hawkeye // Jul 12, 2008 at 8:54 am

If it were up to me I would liberate Iran yesterday. Obabbler’s plans to talk are so misguided they are laughable. When are we going to wake up and see the reality of Evil’s desire of our demise, and their efforts to see it fulfilled? This is the prophetic alliance of the nations against Jesus Christ. I see nothing to indicate that we will see that movement being beat back or postponed. Are we on the threshold of a grand finale that might be ushered in by the election of BHO? Fasten your seat belts and make sure your relationship with Christ is unshakable, our “take off” may be a bit bumpier than many Christians have been led to believe.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Off Topic - Is anyone here a resident of Virginia? I was searching for one of my dad’s old co-workers from WV and came across his son’s website. It appears as though his son is the Lt. Governor of the State of Virginia, Bill Bolling. It also appears as though he is a solid conservative. Just wondering if anyone from that neck of the woods knows of him. My dad and his dad have lost contact with each other for about the last 30 years, perhaps his dad has even passed away. If he’s still living I want to arrange a little reunion.
We were all shocked to discover that his son is a republican, his dad was not. I tried to send a message to his son, but it came back with an error. I’m worried that his dad may have passed away, so I’m timid about asking about him.

“We will not have this man reign over us”, sinful man’s attitude toward God. His people nailed him to a cross, led by their “religious” leaders. When he comes again to rule their attitudes will not have changed. Satan’s first tactic was to cause man to doubt God’s word, nearly seven thousand years later, man is still at it. Question, deny, reject.

  • 38 Fred Sinclair // Jul 13, 2008 at 8:02 am

Rogue100 #37 - Humor is important. God has an unimaginable sense of humor. I know this because I have a sense of humor (as do all of my friends) and I do not believe that God would give mankind something that He didn’t have Himself.

Certainly He would not give us a “better” sense of humor than He has, because if He had, we would be greater than God in the humor department. Being a self proclaimed “jealous God” that just wouldn’t work.

Also I doubt that He would give us an attribute and not expect us to utilize it the best we can. Not using it would amount to poor stewardship on our part.

Any doubt? Take a long look at the duck billed platypus or the giraffe.

His diabetes makes it difficult for us to be very comfortable with it, but I think he needs to have as much of a normal life as any other kid. Wouldn’t be good to have him bitter about what cards this life has dealt him. So we put it all in God’s hands and trust him to bring about the best for us. My wife is less than thrilled, she will worry. God must give mums an extra sensitive “worry” gene. President Ahmadaboutjihad and the Iranian council threaten to photoshop Israel from the world map? I thought they already did that.

    A CULTURE OF CORRUPTION UPDATE:
Democrats in the Pennsylvania state legislature face multiple counts of corruption as a probe by the state’s Attorney General continues. Representatives Mike Veon (formerly second in House leadership), Sean Ramaley, and 10 former aides are accused of using government offices for Democratic Party fundraising and activities. One aide had no other job but fundraising, and the rest got bonuses for the amounts of money they brought in — paid by Pennsylvania taxpayers.

Business as usual with the Donks. I predict this story will be widely ignored by the lamestream media since these crooks don’t have an “R” behind their names.

The Donks in the People’s Republic of Illinois have ruined this state starting with the moronic Dem governor “Blago”. Senate president Emil Jones (D-Moon) is the tin-plated despot of color who undermines the democratic process by often not allowing Senators to vote up or down on policies which favor the people of Illinois instead of the Democratic Party. Which raises an interesting question, why do Illinois Donks continue voting for people who demonstrate an overwhelming propensity to create the most repressive and fascist state in the union?

And after two years of disasterous Donk control of the U.S. Congress, America is about the commit suicide having voted Democrat Luddites into office over the last twenty years who seem more than willing to continue frustrating all drilling and oil exploration knowing that higher energy costs will damage the American economy and cause further economic angst among Americans who in turn seem hellbent on electing more Democrats to the Congress for more of the same “change”! Stupid is is stupid does.

And clueless blue-blood Republicans are little more than Democrat-lite cowards in not hanging the energy noose around Democrat necks and reminding the American people how the Demoncrat Party talked trash and tried to undermine the general war on terror, demonize POTUS, paint American soldiers as either jackbooted stormtroopers or mind-numbed pawns in a Bush-war, and short-circuit the surge in Iraq in hopes of securing a political advantage in future elections. Donks have become very adept about putting party before country and calling it the “new patriotism” and apparently millions of Americans actually accept such partisan machinations as a virtue during a time of war against a determined enemy that plays by no rules!

Rent the movie ” Elmer Gantry”, the traveling evangelist who loved whiskey, women and wealth and envision a mulatto version of Burt Lancaster. It’s both uncanny and amazing as if B.O. has studied for the role. Displays of hypocrisy and showmanship will often evoke the name Elmer Gantry, especially in reference to preachers — and, increasingly so, to politicians.

Sinclair Lewis won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Burt Lancaster won an Oscar for his performance. Now B. Hussein Obama wants to win the Presidency for his performance in the role.

    Revelation 19:11-21 (King James Version)
    King James Version (KJV)

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

    17And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
