Gore Wins Nobel Prize, High Court Gives It to Bush

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 44 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2007-10-12) — Although former Vice President Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize this week for his work as a global-warming performance artist, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled early today that President George Bush would receive the gold medal, the diploma and the $750,000.

Mr. Bush, who was narrowly defeated by Mr. Gore in the 2000 presidential election, thanked Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito “for swinging the vote my way, and helping me to join the pantheon of great Nobel laureates like Jimmy Carter and the late Yassir Arafat who together brought peace to the middle east.”

Mr. Gore could not be reached for comment as he was returning from Oslo, Norway, in a private jet. However, his spokesman said that his efforts to bring peace on earth speak for themselves.

“Thanks to Al Gore’s movies, speeches and books,” said the unnamed spokesman, “Terrorists and tyrants around the world will soon lay aside the weapons of war and give peace a chance by working together to develop a hybrid car that runs on cheap, clean-burning gunpowder.”

Gore should only take the cash and “recycle” the rest of the prize.

  • 3 JamesonLewis3rd // Oct 12, 2007 at 8:01 am

Ever since Arafat was given the “Peace” prize that “prize” has become less than meaningless and, in reality, has become a direct insult to those who believe that Truth and Objectivity have a place in our lives and serves to further diminish the prestige of all of the other “prizes” awarded by this obsequious, immoral and unethical cult of popularity.

  • 4 Darthmeister // Oct 12, 2007 at 8:02 am

Was there ever any doubt Al “King Canute” Gore would win the Nobel Peace prize? So, this moonbat is going to try and stop “climate change”? Buwahahahahahaha.

It’s sad how politicized the Nobel Peace committee has become. When Jimmah Carter can win a “Peace Prize” for what eventually became failed diplomacy then you know something isn’t right. Maybe the committee ought to give Neville Chamberlain a posthumous “Peace Prize”.

Dear Sir Scott - What happened? Where is the Satire?

Besides - I’m sure I thought El Rushbo won that prize.

    Hahahaha! Good line Scott.

  • 9 onlineanalyst // Oct 12, 2007 at 8:29 am

Obviously, recognition of objective truth plays no role in the awarding of the Nobel prize. What? Peace means to be passive sheep accepting the Big Lies of self-promoting charlatans?

“Global warming performance artist,” Scott? Good one!

Jimmuh Catarrh (*spit*) has pontificated that Gore is most fitting to assume presidential honors next. (I’m afraid that the Peanut and the Gore-nut are off their meds.) Yasser Arafat, part of the triumvirate of false idols, could not be reached for comment.

Hang on to your pocketbooks, folks.

There’s a lot of pent up demand for such vehicles. Sales will be “booming”. Growth will be “explosive”. Profits will “skyrocket”.

Scott and Hawkeye are at their best this morning. When I was reading my local TV homepage and saw Gore’s cash cow I about spit. Gore has no more right to win a Nobel prize for global terrorism than I do for an Olympic 440 yard dash. (without my powerchair).

“great Nobel laureates like Jimmy Carter and the late Yassir Arafat who together brought peace to the middle east.”

Yes, and what a “lasting peace” it has been, due to Carter’s excellent abilities to “talk, reason with and listen to” the other side. It does a world of good to “negotiate” with islamofascists.

Gore will run as Vice-President. It will be Clinton/Gore 2008. I know it sounds outrageous, but it’s the best move for both of them. Gore blunts Nader for Clinton and he gets to run in 2016… (more at http://www.psjs.net)

Rush Limbaugh has been awarded the “No Bull” Award.
Sorry ,this award wasn’t started by the man who invented dynamite.

  • 30 My word // Oct 12, 2007 at 3:20 pm

Previous threads have recounted all the fine work done by the peanut farmer, but failed to recall that he singlehandedly stopped our Air Force from having any access to secure airfields in all of South America by giving away the Panama Canal! I was there, and I know.

The Canal is now, for all intents and purposes, under control of Communist China and could easily be closed to Western traffic is they so desire.

Once again, the Worst Person in the World should be recognized for his efforts to aid and abet our enemies. A trial for Treason seems like the best way to handle that!

  • 31 the_mechanic // Oct 12, 2007 at 6:08 pm

Turns out that Rush was right - Nobel did indeed invent dynamite. That is funny.

Is that what you think Al Gore got? “from the world?!?” Signed by trees, perhaps?
