Dem Rivals Call for Pull Out Now, Long Occupation

by Scott Ott · 42 Comments

(2007-09-29) — The leading Democrat presidential candidates joined forces this week to immediately call for the eventual pull out of U.S. forces from Iraq on a time line that could have all of the troops home as early as the end of the second term of the president who succeeds the next one.

“We cannot let one more brave American patriot die while refereeing a meaningless foreign civil war,” said Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY. “As I’ve said before, if George Bush won’t bring the troops home now, when I’m president, I will. Of course, by then ‘now’ will have passed and what ‘now’ will mean then is hard to tell now. It depends on what the meaning of ‘now’ is.”

Sen. Barack Obama said, “This war never should have started, that’s why I opposed it in the first place. Now that it’s under way, I have called for the president to bring the troops home. However, it would be irresponsible of me to say whether, as president, I would bring the troops home before 2012, because things look different when one is commander in chief. At this time, as a senator running for president, I think it’s irresponsible for Bush to leave the troops in Iraq, but that could change the day I take office by virtue of the office I take and through no fault of my own.”

Former Sen. John Edwards apologized again for voting in favor of the war, but added that he’ll “never, never, never apologize” for calling for a troop pullout today.

“What seems like the right thing to do now, is the right the thing to do,” said Mr. Edwards, “I know that I’m not wrong about this like I was wrong about voting for the war. So, I’m confident that this president should bring our troops home now. However, I cannot make commitments on behalf of a future commander in chief who might turn out to be me.”

In a joint news release, the three Democrat rivals said, “We know the troops can’t come home now, or anytime in the near future, but that doesn’t mean we should stop calling on the president to do that which none of us would do if we were sitting in his chair right now.”

“ain’t it the truth, ain’t it the truth”

That is the exact wording coming from the Dem’s mouths these days if you read between the lines. That video of Nancy Pelosi the other day proved they have no more answers than the Republicans (even less).

All they are doing is getting the mass of stupid humanity thinking if they yell at Bush loud enough they will never hear the lies they, the Democrats, are telling.

Oh yes, God Bless Burma Shave

Boy, Scott, I think that this one is another stroke of genius. I read it to my husband, laughing, and he said, (I kid you not) “When did they say that?” because he thought it was serious. It is so close to reality that it is hard to call it satire. Good job.

Scott … buwhahahahahaha! Even though the Donk presidential candidates have lied and will continue to lie through their teeth to the moonbat left in their party about “troop withdrawals”, the blame-America/hate-Bush lemmings will still vote Democrat as they proudly swim in their sea of kool-aid.

Scott, it’s very difficult to read what is “supposed” to be satire, while tears of sorrow are competing with my aching ribs, sore from pealing, gales of laughter.

Somewhere along the line of the Chinese idea of “Sweet and Sour”(a very popular blending of flavors). To blend the harsh, sobering reality of the liberal’s dysfunctional mental state with the merriment of participating while they make utter fools of themselves, is as I said a difficult read.

Bravo Sir Scott, you’ve triumphed again! Sheer mastery of your art. Bravo, bravo and bravo again - please take a bow.

I still think the best idea is to have all our troops “convert” to Islamviaa reverse taqiyya (holy lying) and then the American military would no longer be considered an occupier. After all, it would be business as usual in the Middle East and then we can indiscriminately kill civilians without the lamestream media and radical left busting a gut over it. I mean the left doesn’t get very upset when Muslims murder Muslims in the name of Islam/Allah/Koran, now do they? According to them it’s a “cultural thing”, ya know, and if nothing else its evil American capitalism the Christian Crusades which is causing them to murder one another!

John Edwards: ‘Pretty Soon’ All Young African-American Men Will Be Dead or in Prison…

And I suppose that has nothing to do with a permissive and patronizing liberal society which is always making excuses for them, eh Mr. Edwards?

I guess we can always blame it on the fat cat conservative Republican crackers who force blacks into a life of crime and violence and illegitimate births. And here come the white liberals to the rescue with their velvet-lined cages located on their political plantation of broken promises.

    I passed along
    this little chestnut
to several folks in my address book. The article offers an analysis of what is going on behind the scenes and might explain the current behavior and backpedalling of the Dem contenders.

Lots of good news is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan that either the MSM do not have in their radar or they are spiking.

Scott: Your blog looks terrific. It’s slick to use, too. You deserve an “A” both for effort and achievement.

OT (but worth bookmarking): The George Soros interference in our nation and threats to our democracy are entangled everywhere. His wealth is manipulating our news outlets and information dissemination.

Soros’s filthy lucre has influenced the “whistleblower” Hansen of NASA, who has claimed that the Bush administration has attempted to silence global-warming warnings. Soros uses his money-writ large- to politicize science. What better way to cripple an economy than with regressive regulations disguised as concern for the planet?

His nasty work is behind the assorted immigration rallies that threaten the sovereignty of our borders.

Here is a little summary of how Soros uses his wealth to manipulate public opinion through the media for his own power-seeking purposes.

“And furthermore, we have encouraged the enemy as much as we can. They just can’t seem to defeat the American military. We’ve tried to start a full blown civil war there but the people are not willing to kill each other in the numbers we find acceptable. If we can get Soros to donate more to the enemy, we may secure defeat before Bush leaves office. And don’t call us unpatriotic. We are doing our best to beat Bush/Cheney and install Nasty Leprosi, also know as Ms. 11%, into the Presidency. After all, she is supported by more that a tenth of the population.”

Does the word sedition come to mind.
    Don’t get me started!

Condi Rice could be OK and a killer ticket would be her with Judge Janice Rogers Brown as her running mate. The problem would be if elected, we would be stuck with Republicans for the next 100 + years, since every Liberal in America would die from heart attacks.

Other than that, of the current crop I’d be happy with Duncan Hunter tied with Mike Huckabee for first and Fred Thompson a close second and ANY OF THEM except a democrat. (Especially Mrs. Bill Clinton) A lot of women will vote for her for the single reason that they’re still jealous of Monica and want Bill back in the White House (whatever it takes). I doubt Osama - er - Obama has a chance - he’s not black enough to appeal to America’s negro Democrat voters. Edwards wouldn’t equal a pimple on a sow’s backside. The rest of them don’t amount to a poot in a hurricane. (My spellcheck is questioning “poot” - my dictionary doesn’t even list it - has it disappeared?)

No man, nor corporation or association of men have any other title to obtain advantages or particular and exclusive privileges distinct from those of the community, than what arises from the consideration of services rendered to the public…the idea of a man born a magistrate, lawgiver, or judge is absurd and unnatural.

    Petreaus announces:

Sgt. Seymour Petreaus announced in Baghdad this morning that he is a candidate for President (of The United States).

Petreaus, whose enlistment expires in December, is already scheduled for rotation back to The U.S. a few days before then. He has served in Iraq for all but the first year of his 20 year career.

Petreaus told a gathering of salivating reporters that he feels the success of The Surge in Iraq demonstrates that it will also work in The U.S. where divisions along religious lines (conservative vs. liberal) run even more deeply than in urban areas of Iraq. The Sgt. says he was inspired by the name-recognition “Petreaus” provided by the most generous Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Seymour, no relation to General David Petreaus, has spent most of his military career seeking out terrorist cells. This, he says, has given him deep insight into the psyches of Pelosi and Reid. He noticed, he said, that though they were belaboring his name they had overlooked The Barnum Theory.

That principle, developed by showman Phineas T. Barnum, reveals that humans remember single words but never context. Therefore he is pleased that the Gemini Twins of dissent continue to flog his name.

Since Petreaus has never disclosed his party affilliation he will run as a Democrat. The thought, he says, is that his name recognition is far superior to that of front-runner Hillary Clinton and with the confusion of not even his middle name being “David” he has zero negatives.

Now that your knickers are all in a twist after reading above….

He’s running as a Democrat since he figures it’ll take The Democrap Party at least two years to figure out he isn’t one and, by then, America will have an already-inaugerated sane person minding the store.

Duke President Apologizes to Lacrosse Players
A little late for that don’t ya think you liberal, wacademic twit?

WIRE: Military deaths in Iraq lowest in 14 months…
Which is more proof we’re “losing” in Iraq and the surge isn’t working. Liberal Democrats are probably really upset at this news.

Judge Orders Murtha to Testify in Haditha Defamation Case…
I think an apology is also in order given John Murtha’s despicable rush to judge his band of brothers fighting under very difficult circumstances. But it’s understandable given how John Kerry also lied about his band of brothers still fighting in Vietnam back in 1971. I guess that’s how LibDonks define loyalty and honor.

  • 32 JamesonLewis3rd // Sep 30, 2007 at 6:01 pm

That Duke president’s “apology” was so bogus, if I were one of the victims it would only have infuriated me. Instead of apologizing for what he (and the university and the town) actually did, he came up with a pseudo-apology for what they didn’t do-which, of course, is how those of their ilk avoid admitting their wrongs.

So, George jumps out of an airplane w/o a parachute and then looks over at the democrat that he dragged with him and asks”now what?”.
And the democrat is supposed to have a good answer. Uh huh…stupid democrat

Off Topic: But I would encourage Boberin to read this and then get back to us on the effectiveness of nonviolent protest against a totalitarian regime.

  • 39 Shelly // Oct 1, 2007 at 9:30 am

How does a President jump without a parachute when Congress is solidly supporting him? Hillary and Edwards voted for this war. Then they railed against it. Then they said they would end it. Now they won’t say they would end it. And they find it problematic that the surge is working, deaths across the board are down, and the latest AQI bigwig to die left that little note behind about AQI being desperate and isolated. I guess when victory is achieved it will be because of these brilliant democrats, whose lack of understanding of words has at least risen to words containing three letters.
