Tutu: Poverty Makes Muslims Hate Jews, Explode

by Scott Ott · 14 Comments

(2007-09-17) — Nobel laureate Bishop Desmond Tutu told CNN this week that the disparity between rich and poor causes terrorism, and that “unless the problem of poverty, or the problem of wealth, is solved, poor men will continue to hate Jews, strap bombs to their bellies and yearn to indiscriminately slaughter others while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.”

“We can’t blame the terrorists nor the teachings of Islam,” said the renowned South African cleric. “After all, ‘terrorist’ is just another term for ‘victim of an unfair distribution of goods’. I’m sure if I ran out of money, and lost my bishop job, I would naturally blame the Jews, fall in with the wrong crowd, and begin training as a suicide bomber. After all, we’re only human.”

Bishop Tutu said he “looks forward to the day prophesied by the Old Testament economist, Isaiah, when ‘Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level…‘ In other words, when everyone has the same amount of money, nobody gets jealous, and nobody feels like exploding anymore.”

Noted terrorist and multi-millionaire Usama Bin Laden could not be reached for comment.

Sounds like a “good” Democrat, does Desmond.
(He probably wears a tutu…)

When Usama (not to be confused with Obama) loses his terrorist job (for real or as a symbol), let’s hope that the world has not been leveled to the least common denomination of a Muslim caliphate, where every rug lies on a flat earth.

    What a dumb idea.
Lots of terrorists drive their Mercedes/Lexus into the crowd. Usually they have an associate drop $thousands from a window first which guarantees a good crowd for the bomb.
Most terrorists have more than enough for themselves and their families. I have it on go authority that most blow themselves up to avoid taxes (instituted in most case by Jews).
Whiny little [deleted]…poor me! Just a front folks, don’t be fooled.

    “good” authority??

UBL still wants to get himself blown up, but his income level demands something more than the old backpack or vest method. A Daisycutter is much more fitting.

The same is true, obviously, of the 19 Saudis, all far, far above every poverty indicator, who fired the “Fort Sumter” shot against the WTC, thus claiming the title of the uncivil in this war against civilisation (sometimes shortened to “civil war.”)

In fact, monetary poverty appears to play no part in the issue; perhaps Mr. Tutu (who of course holds the same honor as his fellow Nobel laureate Yassir Arafat) meant to decry the problem of spiritual poverty among Muslims.

Gee, I thought the Palestinians loved eating gravel over goat cheese and walking around in the dust since, the way I see it, that is all they do. Is there a McDonalds in Palestine?

  • 10 gafisher // Sep 17, 2007 at 12:40 pm

Ms RW — McDonald’s is in Israel but I can’t seem to find any in the area sometimes referred to as “Palestine.” Maybe that’s why they’re so angry!

    Who’s fooled?
We know the “poverty made me do it” excuse is phony…
It’s your comrades on the left of the aisle in DC that you need to be enlightening.

Who’s gone softer in the head, Carter or Tutu? Come to think of it, they’re kindred spirits.

If you haven’t had a really good belly laugh lately, check out DRUDGE “Cities Cracking Down on Saggy Pants” the ACLU is getting on the bandwagon, charging racial profiling. Several cities have passed laws against pants that sag to reveal rear ends with or without underweaI needed a good laugh & I got it.

I think the Archbishop for starting this dialog, and there’s only one piece of information that needs to be added to it, all others being irrelevant:

What is Desmond Tutu’s bank account balance?

I don’t think I need to know anything else. Just that.
