Hillary: Obama Naive to Suggest Direct Talks with Satan

by Scott Ott · 60 Comments

(2007-07-25) — Building on his debate remark that, as president, Barack Obama would meet face-to-face with the leaders of China, North Korea, Iran, Syria and Venezuela, the Illinois Democrat Senator today said that he also plans to solve “perhaps the world’s greatest problem” through executive-level bilateral talks with the Prince of Darkness, Satan.

“As I see it, you can’t have lasting peace without Satan’s cooperation,” said Mr. Obama. “We can’t keep following the failed Bush administration strategy of only talking with our allies. I’m willing to invest the time to find out if we have something the Devil wants that could bring an end to war and strife.”

Rival candidate, Sen. Hillary Clinton, immediately branded the comment as naive, and “symptomatic of Barack’s lack of experience in the realm of politics.”

Whoa, that’s Low, Scott, as Low as you can go!

    and

    God Bless America!

  • 3 Shelly // Jul 25, 2007 at 9:27 am

But will he really go out on a limb and speak to Fox News? This group is still afraid to confront Chris Wallace or Brit Hume.

  • 4 CalGirl // Jul 25, 2007 at 9:30 am

Well, I think that talks with the prince of darkness will have about as much effect as talks with the purveyors of radical islam…

    Oh! That was the point!

    /I’m a little slow

  • 5 conserve-a-tips // Jul 25, 2007 at 9:44 am

Boy, Scott. When you wanna make a point, you make a point!

I have been saying to friends and family and then looked at like I’m crazy, that there is no point for seeking “peace” between men on earth until mankind knows the “peace” among men on earth - Christ. This idol of “peace” that we keep worshipping is a lie and Obama really might as well be dealing directly with Satan, because as long as Satan is prince of this world and as long as he has the hearts of the majority of people on earth, peace is an illusion. The peace of Christ is an inner peace even when battles are raging. Time to get the message out.

    Good job, Scott.

It is safe to assume that Madame Hillary and Mr. Bill made their deal with the devil some time ago. Their Faustian agreement surely will ensnare even more of the naive into Her Satanic Majesty’s trap of slavery to the State.

Sort of on topic, David Limbaugh’s latest column is a must read. He discusses the Dems refusal to accept truth, and their greater concern for not appearing immoral, as opposed to any concern for actually not being immoral.

The Obama camp today is announcing success in this seemingly impossible effort. “It appears the Prince of Darkness really just wanted to meet The Artist Formerly Known As Prince,” said the Senator, “and I can arrange that.”

Advisors were less enthusiastic, noting confidentially that “Satan didn’t demand ‘Soul’; he demanded the Senator’s soul.” All are agreed that Obama accepted the offer, whatever it was.

MargeinMI: What do you mean “she won’t talk with him”? She’s married to him, huh? :-) Sorry, Bubba, it’s good to take potshots at former Presidents instead of sitting ones. I’m sure Hugo would disagree.

    Excellent irony and metaphor, Scott.

Wouldn’t you like to to be a fly on the cavern wall for that Close Encounter!

Barak’s negotiations with Beelzebub would resemble the following exchange between Edgar (the farmer) and the Space Bug whose flying saucer crashes into Edgar’s truck in the 1997 film Men In Black :

Space Bug: Place projectile weapon on the ground.
Edgar: You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers!
Space Bug: Your proposal is acceptable.

Gulp! (Space Bug swallows Edgar whole.)

I have a question to ask anti-war leftists. Clearly suicide bombers in Iraq have served absolutely no tactical purpose other than to eventually alienate the Iraqi people that they are blowing up. From a tactical point of view, you can’t suicide-bomb your movement to victory … the Japanese tried it too and it didn’t work.

So if there is no tactical significance to the carnage and mayhem al Qaeda and fringe Muslim kook groups in Iraq are engaged in, then there must be some kind of strategic motivation. And hasn’t that strategy become increasingly obvious? Clearly suicide bombings are being conducted for the benefit of anti-war leftists and the liberal media here in America who are now engaged in political machinations to remove from Iraq the only force in the world that can effectively beat al Qaeda and Muslim fundamentalist fanatics at their own game - the U.S. Military. Plus, the radical left also has great motivation to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so they can then blame Bush for that which they achieved themselves, which is quite consistent with the pathology that left-wingers have by being emotionally incapable of take responsibility for their actions just as the leftists are also incapable of holding perps - in this case Islamofascists - totally responsible for their own murderous actions.

And it also comes as no surprise these Muslim radicals are playing to the same hate-Bush/blame-America crowd who shamelessly believe elements of the American government were somehow complicit in 9/11 even to the point of possibly planting demolition charges in the Twin Towers!

Now it doesn’t take a Rhodes scholar to figure out that people moronic enough to believe in kook “troother” conspiracy theories would make fertile ground for blaming Bush and America for the atrocities commited by Islamofascists in the name of Allah, the Koran, Islam and the prophet Mohammed. And the scary thing is many of these leftist kooks will be voting next November 2008! God save us all from such “progressive” insanity.

c-a-t - LIVE COMMENT PREVIEW was out on my computer for three or so hours one day about a week ago and has been in place ever since.

Scott: Extraordinarily pertinent today - love it! I believe most of today’s high rollers in politics have indeed struck a “Devil and Daniel Webster” type of deal with God’s enemy and give the devil his due - he’s trying; he’s up against a power proven greater than himself. My personal belief is that it took His direct intervention to stop Algore from winning in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. My prayer is that God will continue to keep America under His wing. Whether it’s ‘hanging chads’ or ‘Swift boat veterans’ He puts in position whomsoever He desires.

The liberal left must have cut a deal with satan - I can think of no other source of their insanity. By what other criteria could one account for Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan and others of their ilk?

The leaders of China, North Korea, Iran, Syria and Venezuela have cut their deals with satan, which would account for why they love our liberals here in America. Fellow travelers tend to get along very well with one another.

  • 24 Figwealor // Jul 25, 2007 at 3:39 pm

I have to set the record straight here since some people totally misunderstood the question.

Please go back to the question and the example cited of Sadat going to Israel. Read Sadat’s trip of 1977 and also see what preparations were made prior to the trip.

Low-level diplomacy was not issue here; some diplomatic works were already done before Sadat made his bold move.

The question was; after all the low and high level diplomatic negotiation were completed by the underlines at State Department, would the future President be willing to meet any of our enemies without a pre-condition as Sadat did, when he visited Israel?

Obama’s answer was exactly in line with the question.
It looked like Hillary didn’t even know about Sadat’s move and the role played by President Jimmy in the low and high level diplomacy to prepare for Sadat’s move.

Obama was willing to meet with any of our enemies once the groundwork was done like Sadat did.

This was not a question of preliminary diplomatic negotiations; that would have been taken care of as it was in the Sadat case, it was about our future president’s willingness to do as Sadat, Reagan, Nixon, and Kennedy did.

So far Obama is the only candidate willing to show that kind of bold leadership exemplified by Reagan, Kennedy, and Sadat.

If Hillary couldn’t understand that the question assumed that high and low-level diplomacy have been done, then we can’t really be able to help her.

No wonder she voted to authorized the war and thought that she was sending Bush to the UN. Too bad - We want sharp minds in 2008, not people that could not understand a simple question like or issue like Sadat’s trip to Israel on November 19, 1977. Sadat was the first Arab leader to officially visit Israel when he met with Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and spoke before the Knesset in Jerusalem

Some people are shouting about Hillary’s experience and this is one prime example that her type of experience is useless to the nation at this time.

Yes. We cannot just ignore the experience question; the truth is that Hillary is running on experience and so far she has not proven that to the American public.

Hillary told us that she is running on experience so we must call her out on her ignorance of basic procedures like this.

No wonder she thought that voting to authorize the war was not actually giving Bush the power to invade, but rather the power to go to the United Nations.

Hillary does not understand that no bilateral presidential meeting/summit has ever taken place without a low and high level diplomatic groundwork. That failure to understand a simple foriegn policy issue as a presidential summit makes her unqualified to be our commander-in-chief in 2009.

She might one day give out Confidential National Security information and thought that it was just a weather tip.

    DEMOCRATIC HOPEFULS SNUB PARTY MODERATES

    AP - WASHINGTON
Bill Clinton will be there. So will 300 officeholders from more than 45 states. But one thing will be missing when Democrats gather in Tennessee this weekend to discuss how to appeal to moderate, independent-minded voters in 2008: the Democratic presidential field.

Not a single one of the eight presidential candidates plans to attend the Democratic Leadership Council’s summer meeting, a snub that says less about the centrist DLC than it does about a nomination process that rewards candidates who pander to their parties’ hardened cores while ignoring everybody else.

“They have tunnel vision,” DLC founder Al From said of his fellow Democrats.

It’s like we Scrapplers have been saying all along, Demoncritter presidential candidates are shamelessly pandering to their whacko left-wing base which is pulling the party further and further left. If you agree with what the Donk candidates are now saying then by definition you’re a whack job according to the DLC and the AP! Of course even the “moderates” will continue making excuses for this kind of left-wing extremism since they, after all, also belong to the Demoncritter cult.

  • 29 Darthmeister // Jul 25, 2007 at 6:45 pm

The empty suit Obama has “gravitas” … buwhahahahahaha! What a joke.

Obama can meet all he wants with whatever Muslim whack jobs happen to be the thug du jour. The fact of the matter is, there will be no peace in the Middle East until the Palestinians explicitly repudiate the long-standing belief that the nation of Israel is illegitimate and the Jews must be pushed into the sea. No amount of bloviating, posturing, diplomatic BS, nice sounding rhetoric, pleading, foreign aid bribes by western nations, incentives, sanctions, land-for-peace hoaxes, ad nauseam is going to bring peace to the Middle East. And as long as the present regimes exist in Syria and Iran the problem is only going to get worse since the Palestinians are merely proxy puppets doing the will of Israel-hating Islamic nutcases in those two nations.

And the North Koreans will only spit in the face of some inexperienced liberal wimp like Barack Obama. At least Neville Chamberlain had some respectable diplomatic credentials and international experience and we know how that got free nations into a world of hurt if 65 million being killed in World War II is any indication of how well-intentioned but naive diplomacy is completely worthless in maintaining world peace.

  • 31 Darthmeister // Jul 25, 2007 at 10:56 pm

Barack Obama has a very real potential to be a slick talking Manchurian candidate and the Demoncritters are so star struck by some nobody who hasn’t even been in the Senate for one full term. The typical liberal can’t see what a potential disaster this empty suit might prove to be to this nation during such perilous times. Hopefully level-headed swing voters will see both sHrillary and Obama for the political whores they really are.

Liberals have always demonstrated the ability to be suckers for charismatic personalities and their fawning over Barack Obama throws up a lot of red flags. Why do think your typical “progressive” goes ga-ga over the Hollyweird crowd … or Bill Clinton? Charisma. Liberals don’t think, they emote.

If it was up to me Huckabee or Hunter would be our next President. However, the two are so good the liberal Democrats and the Liberal and Moderate Republicans would never allow either of them to be elected. That leaves, in my mind, the only viable option: Fred Thompson.

He can run against Hillary and win. For consideration, this piece from common Conservative is very well done.

Perhaps Rush Limbaugh is correct in assessing the “McGovernization of the Democrat Party”. Perhaps the movement further and further left will turn off most of America. But when I look at the Republican crowd, I just shake my head. In reality, they have all moved further left as well. Every single one of them. Even Huckabee who, when interviewed recently, bragged that his church has grown from 25 to 5000 because “they don’t talk about sin” since that is such a downer. Sigh.

Demoncrats Go Soft On Crimes Against Humanity.

How many here have run into the duplicitous argument that since other evil regimes exist on the planet Earth and America is neither logistically capable or politically willing to depose those regimes, then it is immoral for America to have picked on Iraq (or Afghanistan for that matter, I guess).

It’s absolutely ludicrous to claim because all evil can’t be confronted then no evil should be confronted, but that’s what these left-wing nihilists argue.

  • 39 hwy93 // Jul 26, 2007 at 10:48 am

Based on Barry Obama’s experience I’m not sure he has the negotiation skills to score free floor mats with the purchase of a new car. I’m afraid he may find himself a little out of his league sitting at the table with genocidal thugs.

Moving on. If Hillary gets the nomination, many are thinking that Barry Obama would be a good running mate. Now imagine the reverse. How would Obama ever get a good night’s sleep with Hillary one step away from the presidency. (Insert Vince Foster reference here)

This of course would lead to Hillary as Pres, San Fran Nan as Veep and Armageddon as the weather forcast.

At least after the 08 elections we can stop comparing things to Hitler and start comparing them to Bush (affectionately known on the left as “Chimpus Kahn”.

  • 40 Darthmeister // Jul 26, 2007 at 10:57 am

    From conservative commentarist Tony Blankley:

For the first time Monday, CNN provided us with sustained close-up shots of Sen. John Edwards’ haircut, and I can now understand why he paid between $400-$1,200 a cut. At middle range, it looks deceptively like your average $18 strip-mall haircut. And it seems to look the same from the left side of his face.

But the close up from his right side is a revelation. Girding the long side of his part is an extraordinary spring-like wedge of hair running from front to back. And though bouncy, every hair remains in place — even during vigorous head shaking and bobbing. This gives his entire hairstyle a lively, youthful look. Most middle-aged men’s hair just sits on the head like a wet rag.

Admittedly, the bouncy wedge does look a little flouncy when viewed from the candidate’s front right. But from any other angle and from all distances other than close up, it simply gives his entire visage a healthy, animated look. Well worth a thousand bucks a crack — at least in his part of the two Americas.

Muwahahahahaha! Said with a flip of the wrist, I’m sure.

They finally nailed this “Scott Thomas” soldier who was making unsubstantiated claims about “atrocities” committed by American troops … all in the fine tradition of one John Kerry, btw. The soldier’s name is Private Scott Thomas Beauchamp.

The real issue wasn’t whether this guy was a soldier or not but rather if this soldier was actually telling the unvarnished truth. The left-wing blogosphere and lamestream media believe by substantiating his mere existence as a soldier that this automatically substantiates his stories. Baloney. Powerlineblog fisks this lame attempt by the liberal media in trying to legitimize this soldier’s tall tales without independent verification.

BlackFive’s rather frank take on Private Beauchamp. Read the comments.

If what Beauchamp says is true, and if what he witnessed was so scandalous, then he was in dereliction of duty not to first report these alleged incidences up the chain-of-command. But this is simply how liberals work, they rather go public to first sensationalize their stories so that then the stories themselves, even when false, rise to the level of being unassailable by subsequent criticisms or questions about their veracity. Liberals are very accomplished at turning lies into urban legends and media myths.

BTW, how many dogs in Iraq do you think get accidentally run over by Bradley Fighting Vehicles of M1 Abrams? And to turn something like that into an indictment against the fighting men and women in Iraq, what hubris!

    SATAN ADMITS HELL ABUSES

HELL (AP)- A visibly frustrated Satan dismissed allegations that conditions in the netherworld were “inhumane,” telling assembled members of the media, “I can’t make it any plainer for you morons.”
The Devil’s outburst came in response to a reporter’s question about whether there were any plans to close Hell. “No, no, no,” Satan explained, “you don’t seem to get the concept. Hell is where the souls of people who are damned, D-A-M-N-E-D, spend eternity. It is the consequence of a life of evil deeds. Why would I close it?” Follow-up questions about temperature extremes, lack of due process and complaints by some condemned souls that they were framed drew disquieting glares from the Prince of Darkness. “It’s Hell. It’s not the Betty Ford Clinic, or some program to let Pol Pot and Hitler get in touch with their feelings. It’s eternal damnation. It’s not supposed to be pleasant.” The last comment drew a shocked gasp from the reporters present.

When asked if he thought it was fair that souls be condemned for eternity, for example for merely beheading someone, Satan shrugged. “Those are the rules. I’m not a philospher.”

The Prince of Darkness also addressed other topics during the briefing. In a surprise announcement, he stated that he had not chosen which candidates to support in the upcoming election. “To be honest, I don’t have a lot of time for politics, and frankly I don’t really need to get involved.” He did admit to attending a candidate’s mixer several weeks ago, but found the experience trying. “I was talking to diplomat types, you know, networking, when this dingbat comes up to me and butts in telling me that George Bush murdered her son Casey, and that Dick Cheney drove an SUV or something. I tried to get away from her but she kept pestering me, following me everywhere and telling me that if I had any media events planned I should give her a call. She asked if I knew why Hillary had stopped returning her e-mails. When I explained that I was Satan, the Great Deceiver, she seemed surprised. Then she asked if I could get her Che Guevera’s autograph. At that point I excused myself to the restroom and climbed out the window.”

Please take a moment today to counter these by calling you Congressman and urging him/her to vote “YES” on the Stearns-Blackburn amendment to protect the right of businesses to require English in the workplace.

We have a real chance of winning this vote. Now is the time to make our voices heard! Please click here to make your call.

    Thank you,

    Ben Piper

Darthmeister: re. #38, I was just about to post that same article. I just found it on my own, didn’t realize you’d already posted it. When I finished I wrote to Taranto and told him (honestly) that it was “perhaps the most clear and eloquent statement I’ve seen recently regarding the dire consequences of withdrawal” from Iraq. For any ScrappleFace readers who haven’t already seen the piece, I respectfully urge you to read it.

Darthmeister and Woodnwheel: I read the article. Very good. It is so frustrating that it is as plain as the nose on your face but that these so called “compassionate” liberals don’t get it at all. Very frustrating.

“Because you say, ‘I am rich and have become wealthy and have need of nothing,’ and you do not know that you are wretched and blind and miserable and poor and naked.” Rev. 3:17

Bible Code translation: Harry Reid equals pompous twit.

“Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolators and everyone who loves and practices lying.” Rev. 22:15

Those bi-lingual signs in the home improvement store so distracted me today that I completely forgot to check out a cart-load and wandered into a different, English Language similar store.

Appears they do the Spanish stuff so the non-English speaking staff can mroe easily find the right aisles as they return the stuff from the abandoned carts to the shelves. I mean, without the bi-lingual signs, they wouldn’t be able to recognize a screw, right?

Obama Opposition Research slow to the Punch…

When Mrs. Bill Clinton took Obama to the woodshed for foolishly declaring his passivity to the use of nuclear weapons as potentially necessary in defending our country, the Obama team clearly failed an easy test of their memory division.
