24% Call Gore Climate Expert, 49% 'Mr. President'

by Scott Ott · 39 Comments

(2007-03-26) — A new Rassmussen poll shows 24 percent of respondents believe that Oscar-winning documentarist Al Gore is an expert on global climate change, while 49 percent believe he’s in his second term as president of the United States.

In other survey findings, 57 percent say Mr. Gore is “dreamy”, 74 percent think he could win Dancing with the Stars if paired with former Attorney General Janet Reno, and 52 percent believe he could “stomp Sanjaya” on American Idol by singing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

Now there’s an image I hadn’t wanted in my head. Al Gore dancing with Janet Reno. Eeeeww!

  • 5 Darthmeister // Mar 26, 2007 at 8:19 am

Scott, shouldn’t that be: 51% ‘Mr. President’?

After all Bush and the vast right-wing conspiracy did steal the 2000 elections even though all the media outlets called Florida for Gore half-an-hour before the polling places in heavily Republican areas of the panhandle closed. And we all know that despite the fact that the Florida Supreme Court was packed with liberal Democrats and one moderate Republican it still ruled against Al Gore on the more essential aspects of conducting endless recounts until the desired goal was reached, handing Florida to Gore since he couldn’t even win his own home state of Tennessee.

After a three month investigation conducted in the aftermath of Election 2000, the New York Times, the Miami Herald and other news outlets involved in a post-election study declared Bush was the rightful winner in the four reasonable scenarios they forecasted. Only in one scenario - where military votes were disenfranchised and undervote ballots where Gore’s name was not punched by voters voting for other Democrats - Gore “won”. Which once again proves the national media is reich-wing.

This is funny. I admit that I watched “an inconvenient truth”. It was more of a platform for Gore to whine about losing to Presdident Bush. It was a pathetic display by Gore.

Good morning everyone!! I can see my grass!! Granted, it’s still brown but I have tulips coming up on the east side of the house!! Come on, global warming!! (If I remember correctly, algore barely graduated college….no post graduate degrees at all….)

Scott, you’re at the top of your game again!!! I really think you should be writing for the president!! Tony Snow will be gone for a couple of weeks….maybe you could stand in?!

  • 11 camojack // Mar 26, 2007 at 10:11 am

    No, no, no!!! That’s dreaming

“Are you willing to make a commitment here today by taking this pledge to consume no more energy for use in your residence than the average American household by one year from today?” Senator Inhofe asked energy-glutton Algore.

In a mysterious and previously unknown tongue, the Bloated One explained that his piety had been preserved through the miracle of “carbon neutrality,” which — once you look past the Gorwellian double-speak — is something known in English as “hypocrisy.”

2% believe he invented the Internet. 97.486% of liberals believe Love Story was named after him, 100% of conservatives believe the Love Canal was named after.

The liberals also believe strongly that the $129 million Love Canal settlement sure would have gone a long way to study Global Warming, not to be confused with George Goebel who played on “The Love Boat” as Harrison Harper (1 episode, 1981).

23% Americans say they would watch repeats of the Love Boat and 52% of people who were poled thought Love Boat and Love Story was one and the same thing.

Al Gore, who says he loves our country, also said if he was pushing a false theory said, “Loving our country means “You never have to say your sorry.”

100% of me says I don’t know where this post is going. Good bye

Climate expert ? Mr. President ? “Dreamy ?”

Apparently, though, no one has ever called alGore late for dinner …

    GnuCarSmell:
I have a friend who used to work in Sen. Inhofe’s office, so I’ve been very pleased lately to see the senator’s name in the news. I saw the exchange you quoted from on Glenn Beck (during an interview with Inhofe) and got a great laugh out of it.

    Scott:
Once again you’re right on the money! Sadly, I’m in the 52 percent who “believe he could ’stomp Sanjaya’ on American Idol by singing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.”

  • 17 woodnwheel // Mar 26, 2007 at 12:24 pm

By the way, given his increased girth over the last ten years or so, and the fact that he seems to be living in a fairy tale anyway, maybe Al should move to Oz? Just sayin’…

Gorwellian? How apropos but shamefully bourgeois. You capitalist commoners have no right judging a man of Goracle’s character.

  • 20 Darthmeister // Mar 26, 2007 at 2:41 pm

Ms RightWing, where does Courtney Love fit in all that?

  • 21 R.A.M. // Mar 26, 2007 at 2:47 pm

In my own, (unscientific survey), of Scrappleface readers, 100% found Algore to be a raving lunatic only surpassed by Dennis Kucinch, and Howard Dean!

No trolls were surveyed, so as to be unfair and unbalanced, just as MOST MSM polls are to their own, left-wing kind!

  • 22 da Bunny // Mar 26, 2007 at 3:04 pm

    “Gorewellian double-speak”

Your logic defeats me again, everthink! Good post, ROTFLMAO. I’m sure it will persuade the kkkonservative mouthbreathers here as to what a bunch of morons they are in supporting an embattled administration during a time of illegal warmongering against Muslim freedom fighters.

BTW, from what site did you plagiarize that?

  • 25 everthink // Mar 26, 2007 at 6:06 pm

    Poor Henry,

I don’t care about kkkonservative mouthbreathers here, even though the numbers here appear to be in rapid decline, it is the larger readership I am trying to reach.

See the visitors number below. When I click on it I find that the numbers seem to “surge” when I smack you real good, Dorky!

Just do a ctrl + F search when on site. Granted, not exact quotes but “great” minds and all that on the left side of the aisle.

    Lawn Cheney

    Rummy’s a dummy

I don’t have time to do a search on the other ones. But I have to hand it to you, everthink, you’re a pretty original fella in your neck of the woods. Bet you get LOL at “progressive” parties. Do they hand out awards for that?

Shouldn’t the one read: Hang Tom without Delay?

But that’s alright, everthink, in the world of progressivism, “Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery” just like “Treason is the highest form of patriotism.”

The Iraq victory plan of Pelosi, Murtha and Reid

After viewing it I have to ask, “Victory for whom?”

  • 29 everthink // Mar 26, 2007 at 7:52 pm

    Poor Sad Henry,

That is simply tragic! You poor, poor soul.

You really think I needed to find “Lawn Cheney”, or “Rummy’s a dummy” somewhere so I could post them here?

They were original to me. if I read them, some where, at some time. I do not remember it. But, I do know I wouldn’t thought they were worth remembering, let alone quoting.

But, if the subject were a “Dimocrat” it would great prose to any of several “kkkonservative mouthbreathers” here; with you being foremost in my mind.

Say, Ponch seems to be in deep dodo don’t he? This oversight stuff is bee atch ain’t it.

The biggest problem will likely come as the rats you are so proud of, start attacking each other, until they get to your favorite Rat.

Michael Barone has a column today at www.townhall.com that explains the “religion” of global warming espoused by its “true believers”, the self-absorbed me generation. Loads of comments, but the Lefties are very much fact-challenged when faced with data from a broad source of credible scientists.

There is a word game where you start with one word, change one letter and make it a new word…

    Gore
    Bore
    Sore

Does spelling count with this word game?

  • 34 Ms RightWing, Ink // Mar 27, 2007 at 8:03 am

    Good morning.

According to latest pole-cats Gore will get 75% of profits from the sun warming up the earth. 25% of Americans who thankfully have their heads free of certain body parts will create a definite problem for Gore, therefore he will have to try hard to sell that segment of the population the amazing new Michael Jordan Carbon Foot Tracks™
