Blair: We’re Taking Our Iraqi Oil and Going Home

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 28 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2007-02-21) — Prime Minister Tony Blair announced today that British troops would begin to withdraw from Iraq because they had accomplished their primary mission of “getting Saddam’s oil.”

A fleet of hundreds of British tankers, bearing millions of barrels of “liberated” Iraqi petroleum have begun making their way from the Persian Gulf back to Great Britain, where they’ll be met at the docks by triumphant military leaders. The Iraqi crude will be quickly refined into petrol that sells for about twopence per liter.

“We got that for which we invaded Iraq,” said Mr. Blair. “We’re taking our oil and going home.”

The prime minister downplayed suggestions that British forces had also killed or captured many terrorists, provided increased security for Iraqis in their theater of operations and rebuilt schools, medical centers and infrastructure.

U.S. President George Bush called Mr. Blair to congratulate him on “a major haul of sweet Tikrit tea,” and to let the Prime Minister know that American troops would pull out “as soon as we get the rest of our tankers loaded and back across the pond.”

British Prime Minister Tony Blair celebrates what President Bush calls “a major haul of sweet Tikrit tea” as he announces Mission Accomplished in Iraq.

The good news is that we’ll now have someplace to sell all those overstyocked SUVs!

Oh wait. They drive on the wrong side.

    God Save the Queen !

( No, I was not calling the Prime Minister a … Oh, forget it! )

    mission accomplished!

    Sweet

Red, perhaps Hank does not want to “kill them all and let God sort them out” but the author of the piece he linked to surely believes it. So, guilt by association is ususally not far off the mark

Is being petrofied better than being terrified?

Most Americans actually prefer “Mosul Mixed Blend” vs the traditional “Sweet Tikrit Tea”.

Personally, I prefer the “Herbal Erbil.” :)

It appears Scott has a new copy of Photoshop.

Yesterday we got a glimpse of the 2008 PunK Mona Lisa.

Today we see Tony Blair getting “pumped up”.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Giult by association! Wow. That condems the entire left wing…

  • 10 mig // Feb 21, 2007 at 2:28 pm

Giult when said with a British accent means guilt in American.

I know that you may be thinking that the preview is wasted on me, but could you imagine the number of mistakes I would be making without it. So Thanks Scott!!

All that oil and nowhere to go. It only takes a few hours to cross the continent and God knows those old dilapidated MG’s and Austins can’t run but a few miles at a time.

At least we got the lamestream media to admit we actually had allies in going into Iraq. Before spinning this as a British cut-and-run, the media moonbats were crowing about how America was unilaterally invaded Iraq. Notice how the goalposts and details always move with the moonbats.

  • 16 Darthmeister // Feb 21, 2007 at 3:31 pm

Sheesh, should read: Before spinning this as a British cut-and-run, the media moonbats were crowing how America HAD unilaterally invaded Iraq.

Are you implying that America and Britain are 2 different places?

boberin #4: “ … perhaps Hank does not want to ‘kill them all and let God sort them out’ but the author of the piece he linked to surely believes it.”

The piece Hank linked to is an interview with Bill Warner, the director of CSPI. The interview is the second of two parts: it contains a link to the first part, as well as a link to CSPI.

By all means, cut-n-paste or provide a link to any statements by Bill Warner that would support your contention.

    I’ll wait …

Red, in your opinion, what is the author suggesting? He speaks of “educating’ ourselves to the fact that “they” have killed 270 million people in search of utopia on earth. Now, if we were to “educate” ourselves and believed what we had learned, what would our next step be?
If those assumptions provide for another option besides killing ourselves or killing them, pray tell, what would that 3rd option be?
Negotiation? Do you believe that this is what he suggests?

COOL! Love the Photoshop stuff Scott! Two days in a row, no less. Wow. Keep up the good work.

Finally, here's the proof-I knew the war in Iraq was only about us taking oil from Iraq. Wait 'til Hillary sees this…..

hahaha. Great post Scott. I love it.

Hey! I ought to at least get some credit for this.

I posted the white version of the African-centric Trinity United Church of Christ mission statement at least six weeks ago here at Scrappleface. The TUCofC is the “Christian” church that Barack Osama Obama attends.

    Clearly another Obamination!

    Cheney criticizes Democrats’ Iraq plan
    I didn’t know the Dhimmiecrats had a plan … oh, that’s right, it’s the “slow bleed”-to-lose-in-Iraq plan.

Budget Deficit Shrinking To Half Of Average Size Since 1970…
Worst economy since the Great Depression. This demonstrates the failure of the Bush tax cuts

    Blair Announces Iraq Withdrawal Plan…
So British troops are turn control over to Iraqi security forces? It proves right there Bush is losing his illegal and immoral war in Iraq. Wait until American troops begin turning control over local Iraqi security forces and coming home, that will really prove how Bush and the American military lost in Iraq.

    France’s Le Pen: 9/11 attacks ‘an incident’…
And France surrendering to its enemies is merely “an incident”, too.

Europe, U.S. divided over tactics in war on terror
Europeans willing to become dhimmies in their own countries, real Americans will continue supporting the fight against terrorists on foreign battlefields.

boberin #19: What you’ve essentially said is: I said what I said because, if I believed Bill Warner’s arguments, I could come to no other conclusion. I could imagine no other option.

That stuff is what’s in your head, boberin. Something you should think about.

Since you didn’t go back to what Bill Warner had to say, I did. Here’s what I found:

“Knowledge is the key and the only key to freedom from shame and fear. We shall know the truth and the truth will make us free. Our future depends upon our facing the past.”

To which, I’d add: And facing the present.
