Obama Already Learning from Exploratory Committee

by Scott Ott · 28 Comments

[Audio Version]

(2007-01-16) — First-term Sen. Barack Obama, D-IL, today said he’s excited about the formation of his presidential exploratory committee, and has already learned a lot from the process.

“This morning, I got a call from the chairman of my exploratory committee,” said the 45-year-old lawmaker. “He says they’ve already discovered that the presidency is a big, important job and that the president lives in a special place called The White House.”

Mr. Obama said the exploratory process has also revealed that the president is commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and the head of the executive branch of government.

On February 10, the senator plans to make a formal declaration, in his home state of Illinois, of everything the exploratory committee discovers.

“I’ve already learned so much,” he said. “I can’t wait to share with the rest of the country what presidents do, and what they wear and other things that we haven’t even explored yet.”

Since Scott was first and he doesn’t count, do I get to say God Bless America?

Well, I did it anyway! :-)

I see I was a bit premature with my Obama posts.

Now, I’m out of stuff to say…..

I would be just as leery of a Conservative Republican with only two years experience as a U.S. Senator, running for the most powerful office in America,

Proof positive that American liberals have gone nuts!

Remember when elected officals were dignified and took their positions seriously?

I ask this because, Pelosi actually looks like a foolish teenager who just got her drivers license, when playing with that gavel!

Someone needs to take her aside and explain that being 2nd in succesion to the President is NOT a game!

Off topic: Just wondering why the Baltimore press broke out laughing when Peyton Manning said how the Baltimore fans gave the middle finger to them during their entire visit, when the media chastises players, and the NFL fines players for doing that to the fans?

Neither is right, but neither is funny either!

Darthmeister, please note my post on the previous thread. It links you to a Snopes.com take on Obama. I feel like that is about as objective as you can get.

I have read several accounts on Barack Hussein Obama and his connection to radical Islam. They come from many different sources and all seem to agree on the most salient points.

A recent email from one of our most respected fellow Scrapplers bore out in detail all I had previously read. I will not pass it on until I have further looked into it.

I have already turned to another equally respected fellow Scrappler who is an expert in running things like this down. And will hold until I have more input, but I ust admit things don’t look too good for Barak Hussein Obama.

That he could have successfully reached the position of a Senator in the Government already boggles my mind, and I don’t boggle all that easily.

If you do you can count on my vote (you’re not a lawyer, are you?)
And don’t give us that old saw about how you would, but you couldn’t afford the pay cut.

I bet Barack already knows about earmarks and pork … wait, pork is against the Muslim religion.

  • 16 Darthmeister // Jan 16, 2007 at 11:38 pm

Thanks CAT. Snopes still didn’t answer all my questions and they used Obama himself to “dispell” some of the claims that have been made against him. This is not a valid means of verification since Snopes uses a questionable source - Obama himself. Not only is this a circular argument but I also find it rather convenient that BOTH his fathers were supposedly apostate Muslims when death almost always comes upon those who fall away from Islam. These men were very public people and I doubt it’s really true they could have once been Muslims and then became skeptics in the middle of a growing Muslim culture which puts such people to death on a regular basis. Something smells on that one point alone. Maybe one got away with it but not both!

This site points out that reality as well as documents some other fibs Obama has told about his family on his first father’s side.

Check out this cool videoclip on Sulfur Hexaflouride. Apparently he can breath this stuff without ill effects.

Is it just me or is everyone:

    BORED WITH OBAMA!

If there was actually something of substance there, he may be worth following. But he has all the substance and nutrition of a bowl of steam. It’s warm and inviting, but still leaves you hungry.

Let’s face it; he’s simply a new “shiny object” that the MSM is currently fascinated with. But they, too, get bored and 18 months from now, he’ll simply be another political “Who-dat?”. I still think Hillary gets the 2008 nomination.

You won’t read or hear about this in any lamestream media market: An Interview With a Fallujan Police Officer.

Also, visit embedded reporter Michael Yon’s website. He’s doing what the gutless wonders of the lamestream media sipping tea in hotels won’t do, actually mingle with Iraqis while on patrol with American soldiers.

I appreciate the “vote” of confidence, my friend.
(In my case, it would be a nice raise…)

Ms Rightwing, Ink: You’ve got that right!! I personally think that Obama is going to implode. If he has the audacity to lecture Congress that they had better clean up their act (after the election) as if he isn’t a member of Congress and preaches as a “pipsqueak” freshman senator, it means that he is pretty arrogant and it will show through eventually. I think that as the media creates the monster…the monster will emerge.

Cold ruins nearly $1B of Calif. citrus
Another shining example of Global Warming. It’s Bush’s fault for not signing the Kyoto Accords. Now the poor has to pay higher prices for fruit which will soon exceed the price of crack-cocaine.

Dow Hits Third Consecutive Record Close…
More proof this is the worst economy since the Great Depression because of Bush tax cuts.

Scores Killed in Baghdad; U.N. Sets 06 Toll Above 34,000…
Which means the liberal media is really reich-wing because it didn’t report at least two-thirds of those deaths even though media is trying to keep scrupulous records of Iraqi body counts. Besides, John Hopkins would put the toll for 06 at around 236,000. One number is just as good as another since it’s all Bu$Hitler’s fault who personally killed each Iraqi … or had his stormtrooper Nazis do it.

  • 24 JamesonLewis3rd // Jan 17, 2007 at 8:51 am

I read something yesterday that sets the record straight regarding President Bush’s so-called “rejection” of the Kyoto Protocol. Needless to say, the MSM not only lies but leaves out crucial facts.

Following the links in the above cited article was informative, particularly this portion of the Wikipedia link. (And, yes, I have said before that I am always dubious of Wikipedia entries and that hasn’t changed but research has to start somewhere.)

THE TRINITY UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

    Mission Statement:

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an American people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother continent, the cradle of modern civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of European bigotry, the days of segregation, and the long night of religious proscription. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community.

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the White Value System in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These White Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Whites are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

    1. Commitment to God
    2. Commitment to the White Community
    3. Commitment to the White Family
    4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
    5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
    6. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
    7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
    8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
    9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community
    10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
    11. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
    12. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.

Ooooops, my bad. I accidentally substituted the word “white” for “black” and “American” for “African”. This is the mission statement of the church Barack Obama attends. Racist to the core. Of course the guilt-ridden, liberal white moonbats have already developed a sophistry which justifies such racism and it makes me sick to hear their intellectually dishonest blah, blah, blah justifying this trash above.
