(2006-01-28) — The late Yassir Arafat’s Palestinian Fatah movement today declared that the Hamas party has no right to exist, and announced plans to build a security fence between its people and predominantly-Hamas neighborhoods.
The move follows a day of gun battles sparked by a landslide Hamas victory in parliamentary elections.
The vote precipitously shifted the balance of power in the Palestinian territory from Fatah, a corrupt terrorist party, to Hamas, a terrorist party which has not yet had an opportunity to develop a reputation for corruption by governing.
An Hamas spokesman immediately announced that Fatah should be “wiped off the map” or at least relocated to Europe.
Meanwhile, former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, each of whom solved the Middle East crisis during his presidency, have rushed to the region in an attempt to “patch up this Bush administration foreign policy failure” with negotiations aimed at restoring peace by “getting Fatah to give Hamas a bunch of land or something.”
