Judge Posts Private Info About Apple Bloggers

by Scott Ott · No Comments

(2005-03-12) — Just hours after a California judge ruled that bloggers who participated in corporate espionage against Apple Computer must reveal names of Apple employees in their spy network, the judge posted personal information about the accused bloggers on his own weblog.

Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge James Kleinberg’s chatty personal journal Kleinbergblog includes detailed excerpts and PDF downloads of the personal records of defendants Monish Bhatia, Jason O’Grady and the pseudonymous Kasper Jade — including birth certificates, school report cards, medical, psychological and driver records, credit card purchases, history of websites visited and complete transcripts of emails exchanged with family and friends.

Comments posted to Kleinbergblog seeking an explanation for this apparent double standard were deleted within minutes.
