FEMA's Brown Promoted to 'Assistant President' by Scott Ott (2005-09-09) -- According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) website, director Michael Brown is headed back to Washington D.C. where he has been offered a new position as "Assistant President of the United States for Outplacement". The post would continue Mr. Brown's meteoric career trajectory which began when he was "assistant city manager" of Edmond, Oklahoma, overseeing all activity on a large veneer desktop, including organization of paper-fastening devices and emergency replenishment of hot caffeinated beverages.
