Bush Declares End of Major Campaign Operations
by Scott Ott

(2004-11-03) -- President George Bush this morning told a crowd of battle-weary Republican party troops that they had reached the end of "major campaign operations."

Standing before a 'Mission Accomplished' banner, the president saluted the men and women who had fought so hard to "keep America strong and free."

Democrat rival John Forbes Kerry, however, immediately derided Mr. Bush for his use of the 'arrogant' banner.

"George W. Bush misled this country into the voting booth," he said. "And now he's declaring victory when the truth on the ground is that he's hopelessly bogged down in a quagmire in Ohio. I have a plan to win this battle which you can find on my website, JohnKerry.com."
