Kerry Calls Clinton Endorsement 'Badge of Honor'
by Scott Ott

(2004-06-24) -- After former President Bill Clinton told CNN's Larry King tonight that John Forbes Kerry is "well-suited" to be president, Mr. Kerry said he would wear the public endorsement as "a badge of honor."

"How can I express how much President Clinton's remarks mean to me?" said Mr. Kerry, who is also a U.S. Senator, "I couldn't be prouder if I had been impeached on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice, but not removed from office."

Mr. Kerry added that voters would be convinced by Mr. Clinton's sincere praise.

"After all, he convinced his own wife that he wasn't committing adultery," he added. "Bill Clinton is a very believable man."
