(2003-07-08) — Islamic Jihad, a religious organization, was chosen by the United Nations as the “World’s Most Responsible” non-governmental organization. The choice of Islamic Jihad was easy, according to a member of the selection committee.
“Whenever anything big happens in the Mideast, more often than not, Islamic Jihad is responsible,” the unnamed committee member said. “Our research shows that the word ‘responsible’ shows up in almost every media mention of the group’s name.”
