Examiner Columnist Scott Ott, editor of the world’s leading family-friendly news satire site, ScrappleFace.com, announced Thursday he was “stepping away from my important journalistic endeavors at The Washington Examiner in order to spend more time with the man who has been the inspiration for so much of my work, President Obama.”

"What I loved about covering the president as a satirical journalist," Ott said, "is that the stories wrote themselves."

    Ain't it the truth?! ;-)

Keep us posted on your search for gainful employment, Scott…. I know moving probably isn't an option, but I heard on national news that my home town has the lowest unemployment rate in the nation….just sayin'………I read a want ad for a gregarious personality for an early morning news program on one of the local tv stations…..

"the inspiration for so much of my work, President Obama." …and mine too!

Being unable to control himself from having to make at least one speech per day, he provides such a target rich environment, doesn't he?

  • 4 Upnorthlurkin // Feb 5, 2010 at 2:54 pm

Careful Hawk…using the termtarget rich could be deemed a threat to EAR Leader with this bunch in charge of homeland security

  • 5 RAM1 // Feb 5, 2010 at 3:32 pm

    I liked that too!

Actually, living through the Obama years is starting to seem like we are in a "story" written by Steven King or Alfred Hitchcock!

Now that is ridiculous!!! Because of the filthiness of our society, the last part of one of the finest suspense movie directors gets censored!!!

What ever happened to the world we used to know???

    …or Lovecraft, unfortunately.

Yes, those highly suggestive Asterisks which pander to puerile prurient instincts are clear evidence of oppression by The Man [not to be confused with The Third Man].

their loss is our gain! Sorry to hear you lost the gig Scott but you'll bounce back! Best of luck!!

  • 12 onlineanalyst // Feb 5, 2010 at 11:46 pm

Whew! You are stepping away from this journalistic gig just in time. Look what has happened to the Daily Caller's Sean Medlock aka Jim Treacher for supposedly going outside the lines. Be careful at crosswalks and black SUVs speeding away after "striking up" a message on the left.

Well, well! Good news at last?

    U.S. Unemployment Rate Falls …

    Maybe not so much.

U.S. jobs report flatters to deceive.

    - Excluding seasonal adjustments, employment declined by 944,000, with retail employment declining by 556,000 and construction by 358,000, while the unemployment rate rose to 10.6 percent.

    - The mean duration of unemployment rose by 1.1 weeks to 30.2 weeks, and long-term unemployment — more than 26 weeks — rose by 183,000 to 6.31 million, against 2.69 million in January 2009. Discouraged workers, those not currently looking for a job, increased from 929,000 to 1,065,000.

Some stories I have seen are suggesting that the increase in discouraged workers is the reason for the rate drop to 9.7% …

So I guess the way to make our Dear Leader look good is to not even look for a new job, if you lose your current one. Yes We Can ! Just Give Up !

I take the liberty of using the brilliant orator, Barry Soetero's pronunciation to ask: Why won't ObaMao speak to the press corpse more often? After all, it is not as if the fanboys-girls in the press pool don't play dead for him anyway.

  • 15 RAM1 // Feb 6, 2010 at 5:48 am

This sounds a lot like the time I was arrested when my lower back savagely attacked a Hollywood celebrity's foot, after I took a picture of him.

  • 16 RAM1 // Feb 6, 2010 at 5:52 am

There are some new jobs in the Indianapolis area that just were created, although it involves using a snow shovel so I bet these will be considered "jobs that Americans don't want to do" and will be filled by "undocumented immigrants".

  • 17 RAM1 // Feb 6, 2010 at 5:53 am

I saw something on "The Net" that said even the "Obama Girl" is fed up with Barry!!!

  • 18 onlineanalyst // Feb 6, 2010 at 5:25 pm

Peter Schiff explains how and why more government stimulus (renamed to a "jobs bill" in order to fool the gullible) will only kill more jobs.

It is government spending and government growth that is strangling our economy.

E-Joe - Judging by the last 12 months, the White House doesn't seem to possess a sense of irony.
Wouldn't think they'd appreciate one, either. Just my 2¢.

The ObaMao adminstration continues to obfuscate about the events of December 25 in Detroit: http://hotair.com/archives/2010/02/07/did-gop-kno...

Do we have anyone accountable for national security in this administration?

  • 24 boberin // Feb 8, 2010 at 3:13 pm

A bunch of those were created in Philly too…and more tomorrow night. Lord knows I got one of those "jobs" but I can say that I wish an undocumented whatever would have come by…I'd have hired him/her/whatever

BREAKING! Cognition is an extremely rare attribute among Progressives; therefore, cognitive intervention and logical conclusions are unlikely to be found among them.

  • 26 RAM1 // Feb 8, 2010 at 7:13 pm

More here tomorrow too, maybe another 6 to 8 inches!

I hope you believe this boberin, being disabled, I cannot shovel snow anymore so I prayed that God would send someone to help out with it. Within 30 minutes a very nice young man came and offered to shovel the front and side walk, along with 10 feet in the driveway, (so my oxygen guy and a few other people), can pull off the roadway, and only charged me $10!

I gave him $15 and was STILL blessed!

    Hey Teaboogers,
You see Sarah Palin writing crib notes on her hand and calling out Rahm on Facebook?! What, is she 12 years old?! I pray to Buddha she runs in 2012! That will be goooood fun.

Scott, your talent will take you to better places, I'm sure.

Also, what happened to Hank and Everthink? Did they finally kill each other?

  • 29 JamesonLewis3rd // Feb 8, 2010 at 11:33 pm

    Happy Parinirvana Day!

I read Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse back in the 1960's. I also read Steppenwolf about that time [not that that is relevant, nor that, while I was at it, I also read Narcissus and Goldmund].

On the other hand, I did not much like Bodhisattva (1973) by Steely Dan.

I hope Murtha made his peace with GOD before going, but somehow I doubt it!

I would rather have seen the look on his face when he WOULD HAVE been sent packing after the November elections than this!

  • 31 RAM1 // Feb 8, 2010 at 9:41 pm

If Obama’s teleprompter ever goes down, “Dumbo” will have to write his crib notes on those floppy ears, won’t he?

  • 32 RAM1 // Feb 9, 2010 at 1:43 am

Scott doesn't have any skeletons or criminal past so that probably leaves that option out

  • 33 RAM1 // Feb 9, 2010 at 2:18 am

Check out this short video: http://www.congress.org/news/2010/02/05/dc_decode...

Obama may be offered a commercial gig as Emmet Smith's replacement on the "Just for Men" commercial if he gets "RE—-JECTED" a few more times by the AMERICAN PEOPLE.

BTW, LISTEN about a minute and a half into the video and then tell me that Peter Orszag, (White House budget director), is NOT the grandson or great grandson of one of the "Lollipop Guild"! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhjRUKCKIG4

    One last comment—-

My vote for Super Bowl ad of the DECADE—Tim Tebow and Mom's Pump-Fake ad that made N.O.W. look like the whining anticipating fools they are! Heh heh!

Do NOT expect an apology from the baby murderers though.

  • 42 EdistoJoe // Feb 10, 2010 at 3:55 pm

Lately they don't appreciate much of anything. Speaking of irony…Obama finally backs a winner…the Saints!

  • 43 RAM1 // Feb 11, 2010 at 9:23 am
