The excitement with which I anticipate BHO's next-in-a-series memoir is matched only by the fervor with which I am building a massive oaken bookshelf to house his extraordinary works.

Not to run a satire clinic here…but what makes that last remark so funny is the word "oaken".

I think the "fervor" with which he's buiding it also conjurs an amusing mental picture.
I give it one "thumbs up"

Sabbatical? If only. Retirement would be even better…

Scott… come on now. You didn't mention Obama's REAL major achievements. Like raising unemployment to new highs. And raising the federal deficit to new highs. And appointing Marxists and Communists to White House level positions. And selling off Chrysler to a foreign auto company. And having date night in NYC. And… the list is just endless.
(:D)

Easy now…that "hope" well is only so deep. You don't want to drain it completely…

Hawkeye - Scott also failed to mention one of Obama's most impressive traits - i.e. his modesty. Did you notice that, in listing the achievements of his first year, the Prez didn't even allude to winning the Nobel Peace Prize? Don't you find Barack's reticence commendable?

Don't forget swatting the fly!!
9 Upnorthlurkin // Nov 3, 2009 at 4:58 pm
Wonderful satire as usual, Scott! I only pray you err ...his remaining seven years… and he is handed a resounding (landslide) defeat at the hands of a Conservative Republican after one term…or three years!

Wow, Obamao's accomplishments are enough to make a grown (up) man groan.
11 boberinyetagain // Nov 3, 2009 at 5:16 pm
So you're saying it'd be a grown groan then? oh dear!

Let your voice be heard! http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2009/11/024...
Look how many federal bureaucracy jobs will be "created" with the "health-care" bill that Nanny P. is pushing.
Nurse Nanny and Dr. Obamao must be exhausted. Let's work toward giving them a permanent sabbatical in a rest home that promotes the "choice and competition" that they espouse. The Red Pill or the Blue Pill?

Thank you for reminding me of these verses:

I didn't put much stock in Obama's hope mantra in the first place. Too bad you and so many others did…

Looks as though you came up a little short Scott, I had my fingers crossed as the gap was narrowing but it didn't happen. Thank you for having the passion to run, hopefully it will inspire more common sense conservatives to try.

Bluto : Over ? Did you say "over" ? Nothing is over until we decide it is !

You can now add sinking two DemonCRAT governors by endorsing them, although Obama will say that they would have lost even worse had he not endorsed them, kind of like how many jobs WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST but for his stimulus plan. lol
21 RAM1 // Nov 4, 2009 at 8:04 am
Sorry to hear that but don't be discouraged Scott. If you have the stomach for it, I hope you will try again! Why not go for a higher office where you can be your opponents boss?
22 RAM1 // Nov 4, 2009 at 8:11 am
It was hilarious hearing all the Democrat strategists saying how the two governorship losses mean nothing.
They better practice that line for next November!
PS: I DO believe Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will continue their plans as if the losses mean nothing because now they KNOW their time is short to ramrod things down America's throat!!!
With Obama sidestepping Congress with his czars, it may not mean much even if Republicans get a majority back. WHEN they do!
23 boberinyetagain // Nov 4, 2009 at 1:09 pm
We're still hoping…believe me

NO!

Joe Bieden better keep up his support for Amtrak because a whole lot of Democrats will soon be run out of town by rail.
26 camojack // Nov 4, 2009 at 1:40 pm
Of all the people who were duped into voting for him, there are a lot who are not still hoping…because they've been paying attention.
27 Hawkeye_R // Nov 4, 2009 at 6:14 pm
Don't forget that Obama was "humbled" when he received the Nobel award, so I guess he's now been cured of his over-inflated ego. But I'm not holding my breath.
