Scott - it has been said that, in a democracy, we get the government that we deserve.
A sentiment with which I heartily concur, FWIW.
I guess it all depends on the meaning of the word "deserve", though …

One sure sign that a liberal politician has been in office too long is when they mindlessly insist that because their opponent doesn't support any and every proposed tax increase, that they oppose all taxes, and/or that government should not be able to do anything. It really is quite amazing that those who claim to be the intellectual elite, the ones who understand nuance, those that see the shades of gray, cannot distinguish between constitutional and unconstitutional exercise of power.
You did very well Scott, but I wish you would have smacked him down on his ridiculous and false comment that you were opposed to all government spending. The man is a buffoon and by the grace of God will be unemployed after tomorrow.

Great job Scott! It was obvious that you have a grasp of the facts. You know the numbers. You tell it like it is. I thought your opponent was a real slime bag. His demeaning language and arrogant attitude are what's wrong with politics today. I hope you get elected and bring something fresh and clean to Lehigh County.
