Just days after his personal pitch failed to secure the 2016 Olympic Games for Chicago, President Obama will reportedly “get right back up on that horse” and personally lobby the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in an effort to get an Oscar for Michael Moore’s last film. [READ THE REST]

Excellent as always good sir! I think this is one of your classics! Man-o-man, zinger after zinger… I love it.

    (:D) Best regards…

"…in an effort to get an Oscar for Michael Moore’s last film."

We can only hope that the latest endeavor by the smug crockumentarian is his last film.

    Super job, Scott!

Unfortunately, after hearing the Obamas' endless stream of "Aye, Aye!" and "?Mi, Mi, Mi?" the Academy thought they were promoting a phantom production of "H.M.S. Pinafore."

George Will has a great column [here] on the egotistical Obamas.

"In the 41 sentences of her remarks, Michelle Obama used some form of the personal pronouns "I" or "me" 44 times. Her husband was, comparatively, a shrinking violet, using those pronouns only 26 times in 48 sentences. Still, 70 times in 89 sentences conveyed the message that somehow their fascinating selves were what made, or should have made, Chicago's case compelling."

Scott, you are in rare form indeed!

Speaking of Command Performances, it turns out that the nice young medical workers in their clean white coats who surrounded Obama the other day were actually costumed by the White House — photos [HERE].

    Cue the clown car.

I was amused to hear she spun a yarn of "sitting on my daddy's knee watching Olga and Nadia……" She would've been what, in her twenties?! I stopped sitting on my Daddy's knee when I was about seven or eight….

  • 8 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 6, 2009 at 3:43 pm

I'm sure those white coats will soon be collector's items on ebay….I wonder if the Won autographed them?!

  • 9 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 6, 2009 at 3:49 pm

On topic, I've decided today's liberalism is a mental disorder….every one I know has a blind spot which prevents them from recognizing their own hypocrisy….though we are talkin' Hollywierd here….

  • 10 gafisher // Oct 6, 2009 at 4:10 pm

That admission does make it easier to understand Michelle's professed lack of pride in her country, though. Really, DHS, the school, someone should have caught that situation a decade earlier. At least she was obviously able later to build up a new head of "selfish steam" and eventually build a strong self-image.

Hollywood's problem isn't so much a blind spot as (so fitting for the industry!) projection.

Speaking of prizes, I see Americans have won the Nobel Prize for Medicine … again.
Seems odd given our poor domestic and international reputation for health care.

Dumbama needs to promote Micky Moore to Secretary of the Inferior.
What a joke. Give him a white jacket and make him Sturgeon General.
Limbaugh just called Jenny a Ditz, no chitz…. try finding a job here in Mitch Chee Gone, sad, so sad, very gone…..
Michigan was a great place to raise a family before the libs wrecked the families and the economy. Legacy of Jimmy Carter right here in my beloved backyard.

  • 16 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 6, 2009 at 6:15 pm

Ah but, Libby….. surely you can get one of Jenny's green jobs….wind farmer or some such….?! (Are you still in the telecommunication business?!)

  • 17 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 6, 2009 at 6:19 pm

That's the whole Democratic party philosophy… projection isn't it?! Their social experiments have NEVER worked…..they don't care….get out of the way, shut up and live with it….. they're going to try them again anyway!

  • 18 Hawkeye_R // Oct 6, 2009 at 7:02 pm

I agree. Great column. Thanks for the link!

  • 19 boberinyetagain // Oct 6, 2009 at 8:22 pm

Almost (not quite) as pitiful as mulit millionaire Limbaugh (Rush Limbaugh joins group bidding for St Louis NFL team ) whining about how if the rich (him) could just get major tax cuts then all would be right with the world…and you folks just sitting there lapping it up, cheeering him on as though perhaps, one day, if you work hard enough, apply yourselves, you'll bo one of "them" and thus the tax cuts will already be in place.

Good luck with that…wanna go in on a football team? Anyone?

14,000 of them in a mere 11 years…right? Those jobs?

  • 22 proudGSDmom // Oct 6, 2009 at 9:32 pm

Way to stand up for Obama's economy and Jenny's Michigan, boberin. We conservatives stand corrected. Why should small businesses expect to succeed, those greedy snobs? Hand it over to the state!

  • 23 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 6, 2009 at 9:53 pm

…Because all rich people are greedy and little Bobby knows wayyyyyyy better how to spend that money. He's painfully ignorant about economics. We have history on our side…..we know what works. The dirty little secret is the d-rats know what works too….that's what is so maddening for those of us who paid attention in econ class…they're doing NOTHING to help the economy and everything to hurt it. Can't let a good crisis go to waste now can we…not if it will get more and more people dependent on good old Uncle Sugar.

  • 24 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 6, 2009 at 9:57 pm

Just really gets your little envy gene going doesn't it?! Like it or not, Rush earned his wealth by honing a product millions are willing to buy. He is the epitome of the American Dream!

  • 25 gafisher // Oct 7, 2009 at 12:27 am

    In crayon. ;-)

  • 26 gafisher // Oct 7, 2009 at 12:33 am

And while the jobs dwindle and working families flee the state, Generous Jenny proposes to make up the ballooning deficit by raising taxes on those few who remain. I honestly wonder if her goal is to turn the entire state into one big wilderness area. The only thing that keeps me here (besides a genuine love for Michigan) is my kids, and now they're looking for jobs outside the state.

  • 27 gafisher // Oct 7, 2009 at 12:38 am

I hear whining but it's not from Rush.

  • 28 onlineanalyst // Oct 7, 2009 at 12:47 am

OT: Check out this informative video of Sen. John Barrasso, MD, who discusses concerns/questions re the health-care bills in Congress and alternative Republican plans that are not allowed to reach the floor for discussion and debate: http://patriotroom.com/article/senate-doctors-sho...

This type of discussion surely beats the Astroturfing photo ops that Dr. Obamao stages.

  • 29 onlineanalyst // Oct 7, 2009 at 12:51 am

Did you know that even Obamao's economic advisors are recommending tax cuts, but the boy wonder will not hear of such common sense. His economic advisors are brewing for a rebellion as they recognize that they exist only for window dressing. They are asked for their opinions but are then ignored by Obamao's inner circle of policy makers.

  • 30 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 7, 2009 at 1:09 am

Photo op?! I thought the Won just had his dates wrong and thought he was giving a Halloween party…..those lab coats were the costumes.

  • 31 Libby_Gone // Oct 7, 2009 at 1:13 am

I tried to to start up a wind farm, cuz Jenny said she was going to blow us away……
UpNort, yea I still do t-com. I just wired up my neighbor for hi-speed inter can net. 2 soup cans and some baling twine……..
Now she says she can't pay the taxes imposed on intra LATA (local area twine attachments)…

  • 33 SanFranNan // Oct 7, 2009 at 3:09 pm

I have sat on MANY men's laps that asked me to call them "daddy". Maybe the "daddy lap" she was sitting on was one of those and not her actual daddy? lol

  • 34 SanFranNan // Oct 7, 2009 at 3:13 pm

I don't mean to be a critic but Dumbama doesn't work as well as what we call him on the Hill. UHbama is VERY descriptive!

  • 35 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 7, 2009 at 3:48 pm

Great link, OLA! here is one from American Thinker by Clarice Feldman. We all know though, this fiasco isn't about health insurance it's about control over our lives and power for the Democrats

Rush Limbaugh = "The American Dream" ???

You gotta be kidding, right ? That idiot knows what to say to make big bucks for himself and that is the extent of what he amounts to ! You can't say he is an original thinker.

  • 42 Upnorthlurkin // Oct 7, 2009 at 6:51 pm

And now the Daley machine in Chicago is going to get federal dollars to throw at their Youth Crime problem…..like that's going to help. Put the little thugs to work….that'll keep 'em busy…. Oh wait….stimulus doesn't mean job creation….it means bribes or payback for favors!! Heh!

  • 43 onlineanalyst // Oct 8, 2009 at 3:06 am

    Where is page two? Testing….

  • 44 proudGSDmom // Oct 8, 2009 at 3:51 am

Making millions of dollars for being right isnt' the American dream? Doesn't he know he was supposed to succomb to government "assistance" and "succeed" with their handouts? Drinking the Kool-aid is what they define as "original thinker."
