House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., today warned Americans that an upcoming health care reform gathering in Washington, D.C., would be comprised of “nothing but bought-and-paid-for minions of dozens of special interest groups ranging from Big Pharmaceutical to the trial lawyers. They are not who they’ll appear to be.”

Too bad I can't be there. I haven't found a sponsor yet who will pay me off. If I could attend, that would make it a nice round 436.

    (:D)

Imagine Pelosi at a podium. Imagine these words coming out of her mouth.

Many scenarios, some comical, formed in my mind (like her eyeballs popping out onto the floor, melting away, smoke out the ears, The Exorcist) but, in reality, actually speaking the truth-that is, the words of true Patriots-would cause her to search frantically for a pair of scissors even as the cameras rolled.

  • 3 JamesonLewis3rd // Sep 1, 2009 at 1:25 pm

Meanwhile, Pelosi loathes the Patriotic Music of the USA so vehemently that she had it banned from public ears.

quoting poll results eh? why were those akin to poison when George was in charge but now suddenly reliable/an indication of anything?
mind you, i believe they were more or less relevant then, more or less relevent now, just curious why they are more so to your side now than then?

It's entertaining watching all the Obots make excuses for the empty suit in the WH…that's all…..it must be tough to take….trying to change the country they're all ashamed of into one they all hope the rest of the world will like/love…. real mature! Time to grow up! A little fear is healthy!

  • 9 Upnorthlurkin // Sep 1, 2009 at 2:44 pm

"a cynical exercise in plastic Democracy," ….Princess Pulloutsi is certainly qualified to recognize plastic. Wonder what it would take to get CA to stop sending her to DC?!
    Outstanding as usual, Scott!

Upnorth: Yes, I recall some of those setbacks. Has the water finally receded? Things better dry out soon - after all, winter climate change is just around the corner!

p.s. As you can see from my avatar, I've "been here" before, too …

I recognized you (RedPepper) right away. Yes, the water has finally receded but we'll be cleaning up for another year….but you won't hear any complaints from me. We've had a beautiful, cooler than normal summer with not much rain (thank you, God!) and it's been perfect for undoing all the dikes and getting a start on repairing damage to school soccer fields (which we ravaged by digging them up to use the clay for floodwalls). The joke on my fellow citizens is FEMA has come out and told a bunch of folks they didn't have enough damage…..oh darn!! There is a down side to saving your cities!! If you're too good at it, the feds won't pay to help clean up….

  • 14 Upnorthlurkin // Sep 1, 2009 at 7:03 pm

Yes, (RedPepper) I recognized you right away! I also replied and it was here then it wasn't! I was behaving myself too….honest….I was being good!

  • 15 Upnorthlurkin // Sep 1, 2009 at 4:23 pm

Chile…I won't get close enough to have anything against the O-bots…. I've decided they all have cooties! (And their type of cootie must eat gray matter!)
Thanks, she's my buddy, Sophie (avatar) and I've been here…just trying to regroup after a series of setbacks….heh!

  • 16 ChileSerrano // Sep 1, 2009 at 8:44 pm

    "Being good?"

That's your problem right there, if you ask me …

Maybe when she is free of her duties, she can visit Rangel in jail for his income tax evasion. Why is this man the chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, which crafts tax law? Why hasn't he been drummed out of Congress?

Off topic. I just received my license plate renewal from the BMV in Indiana and there was an insert telling that January of 2010 residents will be required to have 4 pieces of ID to get a drivers license. One of the four is a birth certificate or passport.

So if this is what is going to be done in all 50 states, (or maybe 57?), ALL Americans will be FORCED to provide, to a drivers license, what the current resident of the White House WILL NOT provide to be there!

If you had started spending a million dollars a day - every day - on the day that Christ was born, by now you would have spent approximately three quarters of a trillion dollars.

Continuing at the same rate, it would take you another 730 years to finish spending a trillion …

  • 53 onlineanalyst // Sep 3, 2009 at 1:36 am

President Obamao is broadcasting an address to public school students on September 8. The Department of Education has prepared a lesson plan for teachers related to this event. What is wrong with this picture?

The federal government’s mandated lesson plan:
    During the Speech:
    • As the President speaks, teachers can ask students to write down key ideas or phrases that are important or personally meaningful. Students could use a note-taking graphic organizer such as a Cluster Web, or students could record their thoughts on sticky notes. Younger children can draw pictures and write as appropriate. As students listen to the speech, they could think about the following:
What is the President trying to tell me?
What is the President asking me to do?
What new ideas and actions is the President challenging me to think about?

    Or this right after
    • Students can record important parts of the speech where the President is asking them to do something. Students might think about: What specific job is he asking me to do? Is he asking anything of anyone else? Teachers? Principals? Parents? The American people?
    .

  • 54 onlineanalyst // Sep 3, 2009 at 1:40 am

From the suggested activities for K-6 kids:

    • Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. These would be collected and redistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals.

Goodness gracious, all that is missing is The Little Red Book.

Call your school boards and administrations to object to this abuse of power at the federal level. This is nothing more than the use of authority to propagandize and indoctrinate.

Bill Ayers couldn't have come up with a slicker program. Venezuela is doing it to its children right now.

  • 55 RAM1 // Sep 3, 2009 at 8:19 am

OLA: Al Gore has been poisoning our children in classrooms for a few years now, (all thanks to the NEA), telling them how "IGNORANT" their parents are about saving the planet from "global warming". He was only recently caught, and even then there was hardly a blip on the screen about politicians/left wing nuts usuping parents rights to teach their OWN CHILDREN what they want them to believe!

Nutty Al did not think about using the "mass media" event for his indoctrinations that evil/disgusting Obama is going to use, which is quite surprizing given Al's invent of the Internet. :-)

  • 65 RAM1 // Sep 3, 2009 at 11:48 pm

"Caught" means just that, speaking to ALL children without ALL parents knowing about it. (like you didn't know"). bober would be the first one to complain if a Conservative spoke at ANY school without the media being advised of it and telling his children what to believe.

You see bober, we on the opposite side of views from yours ALSO want to have a say in what is taught to our children since we ALSO pay taxes that the school's operate from.

bober is also being dishonest about what Obama had "PLANNED" to indoctrinate ALL the children with. For weeks the left wing nut teachers have been holding talks, displaying posters, and ramping up "Master Obama's" speech to the kids.

We had BETTER start finding out what is going on in the grade school classrooms IF we do not want to end up with "Obama Youth" turning parents in for being enemies of the "Obama State"!

For some time now I have been suspecting that this push for universal health care is another key piece in the globalization efforts. I'm thinking that all of the major players in the game will have to have compatible programs to facilitate the transition. Therefore, this is not going to go away. I hope it gets defeated for now, but I figure the opponents (republicans) will eventually compromise and stick us with it. Rodney King will be so proud of them.

MKK: Listening to Glenn Beck, David J. Smith, and David Reagan, (last two are prophesy teachers), I am starting to believe that almost ALL Presidents, (knowingly or not), have been a part of leading us to the end times "One World Order".

Bush the elder talked about a "One World Order" as being a good thing as has, (and does), Kissenger. GWB's institution of the Patriot Act gave the federal government sweeping powers that Obama is now building upon.

Also Beck is right about Bush "talking" about protecting us while doing NOTHING about the Mexican AND Canadian borders!

Now, (as I posted yesterday), Indiana and other States, starting January 1, 2010 will require 4 pieces of ID, (including a birth certificate), to get a drivers license or National ID card. If I am right, all it will do is make some illegals that get a license and insurance now, joins the ranks of those that do not, driving up our uninsured motorists cost of those that are legal and buy insurance.

Uhmmm, what was he doing wearing your pajamas?

Please do not water the tree of liberty without due debate beforehand. This situation at this time is atypical as evidenced by the fact the MSM reported it.

:-) Yes, that is similar to the punch line Groucho said, that I left out.

He actually said, "I once shot an elephant in my pajamas, —-how he got into them, I'll never know!"

He must have been a Democrat or else he would have said he once shot a Jack@$$, wouldn't he?

"All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

    Psalm 58:3-5 (King James Version)
3The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
    4Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
5Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

You sure about that bober? I saw where they locked up a few people for saying a prayer a week or so ago. I have taught my kids to pray but it looks like under Obama, that will soon be illegal. Maybe it was because it was JESUS they were praying to? Louie Farrakhan says praying to messiah Obama is alright though.

With the corrupt Obama administration it is hard to find anything they have done so far that fits that "legal" category, so YES, perhaps you had better check, I'll wait.

I would agree. We know that God's word has laid out details of the end times, and if we are as close as I believe we are, "change" must occur. I still prefer to go into it kicking and screaming, and not singing the praises of Obama and his likes.
    Revelation 3:5 (King James Version)
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
If there isn't something to be overcome, there would be no reward for having thus done.

I ALSO prefer to go into it kicking and screaming even though the "evil one" knows there are Christians like us. That is why he has his "helpers" like Obama trying to "put the clamps down" on our abilities to "kick and scream"!

Funny thing though, Satan STILLhas not learned, (as neither, nor will, the left wing, loony libs), that GOD will MAKE a way for us to fight back against TYRANNY!

GOD cannot allow America's moral decline to continue much longer. Can you imagine the following story even being spoken of just a few years ago?

    http://living.aol.com/back-to-school/transgendere...

If it were not for the money that would be needed to add or change restrooms for this pervert, (and ones like him/her), there is not a doubt in my mind Vermont would have already granted his/her request.

Oh sorry, I forgot, ——"God made "IT" that way".

My bet is that he/she is a lib/Democrat from a family of them. Any takers?
