(2009-08-12) — An ailing woman who slipped a Secret Service cordon to touch the hem of President Barack Obama’s trousers before yesterday’s health care townhall meeting in New Hampshire has received a full pardon from the president, the White House said today.
Secret Service agents took the unnamed Granite State resident into custody after her fingertips grazed the fringe of Mr. Obama’s left pant, in what she later said was an attempt to get care for a chronic blood discharge she has suffered for 12 years, but for which she has failed to seek treatment due to worries that emergency room staff would frown on her lack of insurance coverage.
“I know that anyone who walks into an E.R. in the U.S. will get treatment,” she said. “But the specter of facing questions about my immigration status, or my income terrified me more than the persistent flow of blood which has plagued me, lo, these many years.”
The woman said she believes the president “can do things no mere mortal can do, like create a health care system that covers 47 million more people without adding a dime to the federal deficit and without rationing care.”
White House sources said the president was unharmed, “although he didn’t see the woman, he was aware that power had gone out from him.”

One thing: based on current events, the Healer-in-Chief will become accustomed to feeling "that power had gone out from him." He is rapidly depleting his charm with middle Americans (midwest, middle income, middle of the road), and his Congress is helping turn the lights on to the collectivist/anti-industrial/anti-innovation leader that he is.

Hopefully it won't be necessary to bring all the sick and ailing into Obama's actual presence. Perhaps someday we'll just send someone to say "I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my [lifevalue=positive client] will be healed."

The White House claimed recently the young lady with campaign ties to Obama was actually "chosen at random" to speak at Obamarx's Town Hall meeting. Of course there is a completely innocent explanation for this. Consider the possibility that virtually everyone at The Chosen One's Town Hall meeting has ties to his campaign, then the odds are pretty good that someone "chosen randomly" would have ties to his campaign. Neat trick!
Oh, and Mr. Obamarx also wanted to make one thing "perfectly clear", his Town Halls aren't "packed". And how do we know when Obama is lying (other than seeing his lips move), when he says it wants to make something "perfectly clear" or wants to "set the record straight."

Oh, oh, despite Mr. Obamarx's bald-faced lie, the AARP does not support "the healthcare bill". One reason they do not support "the healthcare bill" is because there really isn't a "bill" to support. The second reason is the AARP has heard from their constituents and now will not support either healthcare resolutions in the House and Senate in their present form. Doh!

“AARP has been working with Democrats and Republicans to fix our broken health care system.
“While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a health care reform bill that would reduce Medicare benefits, indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate.

gafisher, by contrast, under a socialist national healthcare program, every time we pay our taxes we can always look at it as investing in our deaths. Can't wait for those "end of life" counseling sessions. I think liberals would benefit most greatly from those sessions.
BTW, did you wonder recent studies have shown liberals are far more prone to suffering from the Dopeler Effect? It's that syndrome which creates the tendency for stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come to a person most rapidly and repeatedly. It's especially prevalent among Obamabot culties.
And, unfortunately, these same people usually end up suffering a bad case of Osteopornosis as they age. Osteopornosis is that degenerate disease which often occurs when someone loses their traditional western values as well as their moral compass and continuously howls at the moon about "impeach Bush" and "homosexual marriage is a constitutional 'right'".

O ye of little faith in the hubbub over the ol' mustache drawn on The One's graven image, Hitler (20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) stole that moustache from Charlie Chaplin, "The Tramp" aka Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, KBE, (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977).
The moustache that Chaplin devised first from a bit of crepe hair marked his immediate meteoric popularity as the new cinema star in 1914. With a crepe hair mustache, Chaplin made the change we can believe in.
Hitler did not join the Nazi party until 1920. Socialists always appreciated the power of suggestion and propaganda. At least Hitler's facial imitation of Chaplin's popular image acknowledged the politician's desire to be affectionately associated with "The Tramp" as people flocked to support the new State Socialist 'Change They Could Believe In'.
Since this moustache began with Chaplin, Obama's devotees could relax whenever it is superimposed on The One's image, taken from the ORIGINAL refined vagabond. We can acknowledge the self made man who won the heart of his audience, Sir Charles Stewart Chaplin. He emerged to make his own fortune, arising from dire poverty being orphaned and consigned to state education for paupers (work house), not from anyone's charity, let alone government aid or affirmative action. When all was said and done, then royalty officially recognized Chaplin's mastery.
It is only fair to recognize the silly mini-moustache in its larger historical and cultural context. /Satire.

Check into Christian Seniors. I am a member, and they do not have all the things AARP has, (yet), but are still a small organization that NEEDS more like minded people in it.
I saw, I think on Glenn Beck, that AARP is one of the biggest lobbyers, (if that is a word), of Congress.
You are EXACTLY right that AARP wants this, they just didn't count on us "dummies" finding out and threatening to cancel memberships! It STILL is all about the money!
