Obama rescue buys new GM car for each new bureaucrat
By Scott Ott, Examiner Columnist
Just a day after a financial audit of General Motors showed “substantial doubt” that the automaker could stay afloat, the Obama administration announced a new rescue plan designed to “restore GM to its rightful status as the global symbol of labor union innovation and productivity.”

It’d be interesting to do the numbers, but if it were actually implemented, Scott’s satirical suggestion might actually cost less money, and do more good, than the bailout.

Too bad about Sanjay Gupta bailing out on the Surgeon General appointment. I understand he threw in the towel when he found out his first job would be to give Hillary toned arms.

Sanjay Gupta? Wasn’t he that guy on American Idol?

oh, and a very good article Scott. It probably would work…for now…as well as anything…which isn’t too good…but it’s allegedly better than nothing…maybe…

Wasn’t a nationalized automobile industry created once with “The People’s Car” ? Just saying…
The model will provide a sample of nationalized health care by including a first-aid kit in the glove box.
What’s good for the UAW is good for….well, the UAW. Frankly, I think that a RICO investigation is in order to unravel the government-union-political advocacies’ racket.

¡Hola, ola! After the People’s Car Obama needs to get those train schedules under control. (As America’s pulls out of the station …)

Incompetence in the Obama administration? Or just plain intent to destroy a capitalism-based economy? How many of Geithner’s deputies have backed away from Treasury so far?
Are the Aussies amused or appalled by this collection of clowns in Ackbar’s Audacity of Audacity?

To further stimulate the economy Obama is said to be planning to give every American household an Easy Bake™ (100 watt incandescent bulb not included) Oven and encourage every patriotic American citizen to organize bake sales with all proceeds going towards paying for further bailout efforts.

Re: 8
Those Easy Bake™ ovens better pay off by 2014 when incandescent lightbulbs will be made illegal. Little Susie will be frog marched out of her bedroom by Al Gore if she doesn’t use a CFL to whip up a batch of brownies.

mkk & LCRM, thankfully those mercury-laden headache-inducing Chinese CFLs are going the way of the late, lamented Edison incandescent (significantly once the very symbol of American ingenuity) to be replaced by the far more efficient and less hazardous light emitting diode (also an American invention). Little Susie had better wake up and smell the tofu, ’cause her Easy Bake™ is about to become a night light.
