ScrappleFace Editorial Board Endorses Barack Obama

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 167 Comments

Barack Obama speaks to crowd behind him.
Barack Obama, shown here effectively using the dispassionate detachment that has inspired so many to get behind him.

Rarely has one man so captivated a nation with his readiness to prepare to serve.

That’s why the editorial board at ScrappleFace, on behalf of the vast editorial staff, today endorses Barack Obama for the office of junior senator from Illinois.

Although the prospect of an Obama presidency, from a satirical perspective, represents a hopeful future of full employment, the editors of ScrappleFace cannot let their own needs stand in the way of the needs of the Senate, or indeed, of the people of the world.

Barack Obama’s temperament makes him ideally suited to an institution that President George Washington reportedly once called ‘the cooling saucer’ of the Republic. Evidence of Mr. Obama’s suitability for this role is manifold…

According to friends (who he calls ‘Obam-associates’) , Barack Obama is so cool…

  • The only reason he doesn’t smoke very often is that the flame on his cigarette keeps going out.
  • Once, during a conference committee meeting, Rep. Barney Frank borrowed Sen. Obama’s pen, and immediately got his tongue stuck to its frosty surface. Even then, Sen. Obama was so cool, he just reached over and snapped the pen from Rep. Frank’s mouth, leaving the grateful Congressman with no lasting effect but a barely-noticeable speech impediment.
  • At a recent concert and political rally, when Bruce Springsteen got ‘The Fever’, he skipped the Tylenol, because his friend Barack was there. When The Boss sang ‘I’m on Fire’, Sen. Obama extinguished him.
  • When his wife Michelle, his former pastor Jeremiah Wright, or a guy in his neighborhood named Bill Ayers, occasionally let loose with fiery outbursts of anger, just being near Barack Obama allows them to ‘chill’ like a typical white grandmother, shivering because she just saw a black man.
  • Despite his elite education in private schools and substantial wealth acquired through individual initiative, he calmly tells fellow African-Americans that their only hope lies in dependence upon union bosses and government social programs.
  • When pondering the fate of an aborted infant, accidentally born alive, he can dispassionately discourse on whether the mother’s right to privacy, under the Roe v. Wade amendment to the Constitution, should continue until the baby’s first, or second, bounce on the delivery room floor.

All told, we find a man with a public personality that forgoes the messy ‘person’ part. He’s a man who connects with the emotions of a crowd, like a magnet attracts its polar opposite, because his heart is a lean and pure blood-pumping muscle, unhindered by emotion.

Barack Obama’s experience with, and oft-stated appreciation of, John McCain’s decades of service, will make him a leader among his senate colleagues in reaching out to President McCain to write new sentences in his own multi-paragraph history of ‘Great Acts of Bipartisanship’.

Sen. Obama’s sparse record of writing legislation means only two things…
1) as they say in baseball, “He’s due” (a significant bill could emerge from his pen any minute), and
2) he’s rested, ready to craft laws that will shape our future.

Sen. Obama’s legislative track record makes the so-called ‘do-nothing Congress’, by comparison, seem like a beehive of activity and accomplishment. With its historically-low approval ratings, Congress needs someone who will make it look good.

While critics contend that his entire Senate tenure has been little but a series of tactical maneuvers in a carefully-calculated strategy to become president, Obam-associates know that his aspiration to higher office makes him a better senator because he’s likely to avoid controversy as he cultivates his reputation, thus fostering a more civil atmosphere at the Capitol.

The Senate’s leisurely pace (he once called it ‘glacial’) also provides the ideal setting for writing — perhaps that eagerly-awaited third memoir, tentatively entitled “Brush with Greatness: Ordinary American’s Stories About Meeting Barack Obama.”

I am totally ‘ticked off’. I just learned that I am a member of a serious “minority group”.

From what I’ve read and heard, I am one of the tiny minority who in the upcoming election, will be allowed only one vote!!!

Why can’t I and the few others in this minority be allowed 10 - 12- 73 votes like some of the 12 year olds in the Liberal Party get???

This isn’t fair and I demand a ‘fair’ election!

Somethings rotten in Denmark (and in our Presidential election).

Where’s Ayers and A.C.O.R.N. when I need them???

Are there any laws with teeth in them - (like 20 years in the penitentiary) for voter fraud? No? I didn’t think so. My 73 votes should be just as valid as anyone elses 73 votes.

Excellent editorial, Fred. 2 of my 3 co-workers that work in the same shop as I do on third shift at the Military-Industrial Complex are Black; one of them has been highly vocal, sometimes combative in his support for Obama…playing the race card, etc. OTOH, he (credibly) professes to be a Christian. I’ll be sure to pass that editorial along to him next week…

  • 13 Fred Sinclair // Oct 18, 2008 at 5:39 pm

mkk #10 - I’ve made a change in my vocabulary. I have deleted the word ‘evil’ because it is used too frequently in a careless and generic manner to refer to any and all sorts of ‘bad things’. Car accident - lost limb or eye; “That’s an ‘evil’ thing that happened.” Line snaps and the big fish gets away - that was an ‘evil’ thing that happened. Get fired - “I’ve had a really ‘evil’ day”.

I’ve replaced ‘evil’ with what it’s true meaning is meant to be. I would write your sentence to read “….if they do and they still think they are a Christian and can vote for the absence of God,….”

The Democrat Party of today stands firmly on most all of the planks in their platform for the absence of God. B.O. and his cohorts are committed to eliminating God from every aspect of their lives and ours.

Is. 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

A vote for B.O. is a large billboard proclaiming “There is no God!” The bedrock of Socialism aka Communism, (as is true with all variants of Communism), is that the Government is your God and will tolerate no other gods before it.

Ayers goes to Venezuela to praise Hugo Chavez Buddies with ACORN thugs, he and his wife (once on the FBI’s top ten “Most Wanted” list, members of The Weatherman group, it in itself radical spinoff from the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) - hosts a ‘coming out’ party for B.O. And now B.O. refers to him (Ayers) as ‘just some guy who lives in my neighborhood’, hardly know the fellow’.

I have a great little book ” WHY CHRISTIANS DON’T VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS” by Richard Miller and I recommend that anyone thinking of voting for the absence of God, get a copy and read it before voting.

Psa. 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Great one, Scott! I guess having experience as a rabble-rouser is indeed like getting set to get ready to get started on apoliticking career. Hmmm, now that it comes to mind… What has happened to Je$$e Jack$on? Haven’t heard much at all from him since Braack Hussein got the Democrat nomination. Seems to me that if Obama’s “experience” qualifies him for the Presidency, then Je$$e would more than qualify! After all, Je$$e was offered the mayorship of DC… on a platter, no vote required. That ought to count for something.

Scott, I second that endorsement of Barack Messiah Obama … for the position of the Illinois littering commissioner.

Consider the fact while running the Chicago Annenberg Challenge the man demonstrated the incredible ability to make 160 million dollar bills disappear without a trace. Think about the revolution in roadside clean up that such a skill could bring to the rest of America. Now that’s the kind of “change” America could use rather than the loose change we’ll all have as Demoncrats draw us deeper into their financial quicksand.

Thanks Barney Frank. Thanks Maxine Waters. Thanks Nancy Pelosi. Thanks Harry Reid. You’ll always be in our thoughts. Just remember, we aren’t going away no matter how bad up people make it.

Remember, Democrats can’t always hold onto power forever, unless they want to double down and begin embracing a form of national socialism. Of course that will be the biggest mistake they will ever make because then the mask will finally be off.

With the Donks in control of Washington we’re almost guaranteed to see an Obama Depression.

After communicating with a friend, is anyone else of the opinion that given the repressed rage that’s building in Barack Messiah Obama (there’s a lot of photos out there with him contorted in fits of rage) that he should deal with his “father issues” in a counseling room rather than in the White House?

mig, one way Democrats will seek to lower middle-American taxes is to so depress the economy like they’ve done the last two years that we’ll all be making less money (if we still have a job, that is). Wouldn’t even have to cut the taxes for us to pay less taxes! A brilliant plan I must say, though its execution is somewhat suspect.

Hmmm, looks like Obama’s transition plan has been leaked:

    Advance Transition Plan
All Americans will be treated fairly well, their wealth will be spread around as our progressive government dictates for the greatest good.

We only plan modest adjustments to the Bill of Rights, primarily to shorten it to a reasonable length starting with the deletion of the Second Amendment, eliminating the anarchronistic 9th and 10th Amendments concerning states’ rights and altering the First Amendment to include provisions to punish what are deemed “hate crimes”. Criticizing Messiah President Obama or any Congressional leaders will now be considered a “hate crime.”

The majority of Americans will not encounter excessive restrictions to travel and communications, and any concerns they may have will be addressed by the Neighborhood Transition Cadres and individual Block Monitors. All contraband forbidden by the new Department of Pretty Flowers and Rainbows will immediately be confiscated and given to blighted urban neighborhoods for disposal in those homes designated as disposal sites.

Every American will be tagged with a subdermal GPS tracker for their own health and safety. Children will be processed at their local governmental educational establishment.

The new national motto will be changed to - Democrats: Change you can believe in.

Google pro life democrats. They do exist. Why they stay in the democratic party ??? I could vote for a good democrat, but I would have to be confident that they wouldn’t be manipulated by the mainstream dems. That is why I rarely vote for a democrat regardless of the office they are seeking, if they were really different than the party leadership I would expect them to at least become an independent.

I called my dad tonight, hard to tell he had anything wrong with him. Thank you to everyone who prayed for him.
Pray for a dear elderly lady friend who has suffered with a broken back from osteoporosis, then in July she suffered what they thought was a life ending heart attack, then in Septemeber her daughter passed away very unexpectedly in her sleep, and now they are telling her that she has bladder cancer.
Ah, but one day we will pass from this troubled world into a life free from such suffering and trials. Praise God!

    J. Cougar, why is it you always remind me of a lemming blindly running off a cliff? You see the same man we do and you see a messiah who “will change the world.” Personally, I find that possibility chilling simply because I’ve always known what liberal socialists and closet Marxists mean by “changing the world” with their vision of a velvet gulag.

I guess we’ll find out what real hell on Earth will be like once Oblahblah starts “changing the world,” and we’ll have people like you to thank.

Mr. Huckabee noted that Mr. Wurzelbacher only asked a question when Mr. Obama happened to stop by his current neighborhood a week ago. Mr. Huckabee asked how Mr. Wurzelbacher felt about the scrutiny he’d received.

“It actually upsets me,” Mr. Wurzelbacher said. “I am a plumber, and just a plumber, and here Barack Obama or John McCain, I mean these guys are going to deal with some serious issues coming up shortly. The media’s worried about whether I paid my taxes, they’re worried about any number of silly things that have nothing to do with America. They really don’t. I asked a question. When you can’t ask a question to your leaders anymore, that gets scary. That bothers me.”

Mr. Wurzelbacher confronted Mr. Obama over his tax proposals, asserting that the Democratic nominee’s plan would tax him more if Mr. Wurzelbacher bought a plumbing business.

In the course of their conversation, Mr. Obama said, “It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success, too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

Mr. Wurzelbacher said some friends advised him to lie low and let everything blow over. But then he got calls of support from friends in the military who told him he asked a good question and didn’t back down.

Welcome to the world of liberal fascism and their politics of personal destruction, Joe. Even average Americans aren’t immune to the left’s insane hatefest so that’s why they are trying to tear you down for making their messiah look bad.

And I’ll say it again, even if Joe was a Republican plant (the truth is Oblablah was randomly going house-to-house and Joe happened to be in his driveway), a fake construct or even a bald-faced lying thief, the question he asked was legitimate and Obama still gave the answer he did. Whatever flaws we may find out about Joe the plumber says far more about the left’s willingness to destroy everyday people like you and me who aren’t running for office than it does about how we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God in our lives … including self-righteous liberal fingerpointers with political axes to grind.

Thank you liberals for giving the rest of us a taste of what life in your Amerika will be like under an Oblahblah Administration. Though it might be too late to change the dynamics of this presidential race, four years of your velvet gulag, Pelosi-Obama-Reid financial mayhem, and enforcement of your politically correct fascism will generate a backlash among a truly free people the such of which the world has rarely seen. So, enjoy your “utopia” under Obama while you can.

  • 31 Darthmeister // Oct 19, 2008 at 10:20 am

Hmmm, Obama “raised” $150 million in September. You don’t think he’s trying to buy an election, do ya?

I wonder how much of those contributions came for George Soros, the Iranians and Mickey Mouse.

    Q. If I don’t like OB1 the Obama, is it because I don’t like the black Obama or the white Obama (with a good tan). Is he white to the unions and black to the poor and downtrodden?

    A. You are just a plain old racist for even asking the question.

Re #30: “Welcome to the world of liberal fascism …

There’s a fascinating piece in American Thinker which presents a crystal clear case study in liberal bias. The evidence offered is incontestable, and the conclusions define what amounts to a Rorschach test for an individual’s (even one’s own) underlying political leanings.

    Released: October 19, 2008
    Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll: Obama 47.8%, McCain 45.1%

    McCain slowly gains on Obama

UTICA, New York - Republican John McCain continued a slow advance on Democrat Barack Obama in the race for President, moving back within three percentage points as the race begins to head down the stretch run, the latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking poll shows.

McCain now trails Obama by 2.7 points, down from the 3.9 point deficit he faced 24 hours earlier.

According to Rush, he has several times stated that if at the start of election day Barack Obama is leading by less than 10 points he will not win.

On the other hand Nancy Pelosi has stated that an Obama win is 100% certain. With her obsession for lying,I think I’ll go with Rush on this, rather than Nancy.

Mostly because I don’t think there is a 100% chance of anything, excepting the 100% chance of not going to Heaven without having been born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

  • 36 Darthmeister // Oct 19, 2008 at 2:08 pm

The folks at Powerline analyzed the liberal fascist scream to Bring Me The Head of Joe The Plumber.

Last week Michelle Malkin noted how the media followed the cue of Obama and Biden in tearing down Joe the Plumber. Today John Kass and Ruben Navarette also observe the savaging of Joe the Plumber. Kass deserves extra credit for identifying his own paper as part of the lynch mob.

The “Politico” faults the McCain campaign for not having “vetted” Joe the Plumber — before quoting Obama’s answer to him? But is anybody vetting the Politico?

Hans Christian Andersen seems to have missed the heart of the story in “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Andersen reported that as the emperor strutted before the multitude in his nakedness, the boy cried out: “But he has nothing on!” Andersen somehow omitted to note that the boy was a naughty thumbsucker.

It is precisely this kind of illiberal politics of personal destruction that liberals so gloriously engage in that sickens me. What hypocrites, they’ve hate President Bush for neigh on seven years now and whenever we defend him from their more vicious lies with facts or humor by turning the mirror back on them, they call us the “haters”! What freakin’ hubris.

Once again, this is the kind of insane hate and politics of personal destruction we can look forward to if we ever point out Obama’s lack of candor, truthfulness or dealing from less than a full deck on issues important to this country. It’s going to get real ugly with libtards running the country like a bunch of drunken sailors if Obambi is able to slime or buy his way into the White House.

  • 37 Darthmeister // Oct 19, 2008 at 2:19 pm

BTW, has anyone heard either Biden or Obambi calling off their junkyard dogs with respect to Joe the Plumber? I sure haven’t. It’s just one more proof that these two party hacks are ultimately behind the smear campaign against regular Americans that they claim to not be stooping to.

It’s just like when Obummer and Biden said “families are off limits” when their left-wing stormtroopers began savaging Governor Sarah Palin’s family. It was pretty clear, however, that by not saying Mrs. Palin deserves a little more respect than to be subjected to an endless series of lies and political hatemongering, that she was to be further subjective to the indignities of the Obama-sanctioned lie campaign.

I believe one blogger debunked something like 74 separate lies that the Obama campaign told about Governor Palin in a space of just three weeks! That has to be some kind of record, don’t you think?

  • 38 mig // Oct 19, 2008 at 4:01 pm

God, who endows us with life, liberty, property, and the right to pursue happiness, also exhorts individuals to care for the needy, the sick, the homeless, the aged, and those who are otherwise unable to care for themselves.

America’s welfare crisis is a government-induced crisis. Government social and cultural policies have undermined the work ethic, even as the government’s economic and regulatory policies have undermined the ability of our citizens to obtain work.

Charity, and provision of welfare to those in need, is not a Constitutional responsibility of the federal government. Under no circumstances should the taxpayers of the United States be obligated, under penalty of law through forced taxation, to assume the cost of providing welfare for other citizens. Neither should taxpayers be indentured to subsidize welfare for persons who enter the United States illegally.

The message of Christian charity is fundamentally at odds with the concept of welfare maintenance as a right. In many cases, welfare provisions by the Federal government are not only misdirected, but morally destructive. It is the intended purpose of civil government to safeguard life, liberty and property - not to redistribute wealth. Such redistribution is contrary to the Biblical command against theft.

    Darth,
Please, like it can get any worse! A few weeks ago, the Newsweek cover story was “What Bush Got Right”. It was a very quick read. Then came the Rolling Stone cover story, “How Bush Destroyed the Republican Party” - a very brilliant and poignant read. It seems Dumbya’s run out of things to screw up, yet seems to be grasping for something to preserve his legacy. After you put him in office for two terms and defended him to the end, I ask you and everyone here in Scrappleville this. Are you grateful? Are you? A very simple yes or no question.

YES WE CAN AND INDEED HE WILL!

  • 40 mindknumbed kid // Oct 19, 2008 at 5:19 pm

At this stage of the game Obama could literally morph into Satan and the hatebush crowd would not be swayed in the least. They do not care what he is or who he is, they are going to vote for him. And they have that right, but why do some keep coming around here trying to sell the Lie as being Christian? Can’t be, not according to the Word.

  • 41 Fred Sinclair // Oct 19, 2008 at 5:45 pm

Just got this in from the folks over at noleftturnz blog. It’s a grand piece on whether America will act before or after Nov. 4th?

The great experiment in Russia lasted over 70 years before the yoke of slavery was eased. And some of their morons are trying their best to re-impose Socialism on the Russian people.

Cuba’s had Socialism since 1959 - almost 50 years of the ‘perfect’ society. One Cuban refugee wrote, “In reading about the slavery in America in the 1800’s, we Cubans could only wish we had it so good.”

dogpile no left turnz - before or after

A short excerpt: “Even more unsavory are the “single issue voters” who are going to vote against the beliefs that they supposedly hold near. Who are they? They are the ones sporting the “Catholics for Obama” bumper stickers. Makes as much sense as a “Jews for the Third Reich” lapel button or yard sign.

This is all about “action” but this is also about anger. Anger creates liberal votes and conservative apathy. If the left assumes the Presidency, are you prepared for the “action” that will be coming your way? “Action” that will be partially attributable to your apathy? mkk #39 - “Can’t be, not according to the Word.”

What you, I and most other Christians fail to realize or accept is that the Word (Bible) is meaningless to so many people. You might as well quote the Dictionary or the phone book.

They have believed a lie, caught up in speeches designed to lure into their web, those who are not among the called: Rom. 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

“…..who are the called according to his purpose.” Therefore they are those that God has given up. Rom. 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

So some liberal Socialist preaches his promise of hope and they that are without hope are drawn to him, to follow him like lemmings, unaware that at the last moment he will turn aside, leaving them to go over the edge of the cliff into bondage.

Job 8:13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
Job 8:14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.

Job 19:10 He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.
Job 27:8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

I have the hope of my salvation and not the fantasy hope of a Socialist Politician. They are those whom God has given up, who not numbered among God’s chosen. I didn’t make the program of God, but He detailed it for all who would read in his #1 - Best selling book of all time - The Bible.

God has a history of dealing with unrepentant sin among His “Chosen People”. Perhaps Liberals are his modern day version of the Midians and Philistines. We will know on Nov. 4th - God’s Mercy or Gods Justice.

Judg. 3:12 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.

Judg. 6:1 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Judg. 13:1 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

1Kings 14:22 And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done.

Is. 65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

That’s a very strange assertion even for you! General Powell served his country bravely and well, and as Secretary of State his was one of the most significant voices in building the international coalition which began the task of freeing the Iraqi people. Certainly he has been one of the most decorated, celebrated and respected Caribbean-Americans in United States history.

Sadly, the radical left made Colin Powell the target of their hatred of both the Military and of anyone who did not meet the checklist of loyalties liberals demand of those they class as minorities, subjecting Powell to a shameful shunning by those to whom he should have been a hero. In the end, it appears he was unwilling or unable to fight in this self-destructive war, and chose to surrender rather than incur further injury, a sad episode in a generally exemplary life.

At some point, until he allowed himself to be swayed by Leftists, that is. His ethnic background had nothing to do with that, but in all likelihood has a lot to do with this recent endorsement. • 68 boberinyetagain // Oct 20, 2008 at 2:45 pm

I merely point out that which seems lost on the crowd here. That Colin Powell is a man of honor (no matter what you think of his endorsement) and that both “main stream” candidates are “mistaken” some of the time, that they both “shade” the truth a bit and that to “discover” that this goes on (or to assume that it’s one-sided) is just patently ridiculous.
So, are you being ridiculous? or would you admit that both sides engage in nearly equal “spinning” to put it kindly?

  • 69 Darthmeister // Oct 20, 2008 at 5:28 pm

The last time I looked, Obambi is the one claiming to be a breath of fresh air and the agent tp “change” America for the better, but he’s the bigger hypocrite with his outright lies, obfuscations and shameless spin - same ol’ same ol’. You bet Republicans spin, what politician doesn’t, but the liberal media mainly focuses on Republican gaffes and give Obambi a pass so many of his lies and gaffes go unnoticed by trolls.

How many heard Obambi claiming “John McCain is running for Bush’s fourth term…” Moron, not even President Bush can run for a fourth term, or even a third term. His “57 states” comment is probably better known.

Here are just a few of Obambi’s gaffes and lies. If this man was truly an agent for “change”, he wouldn’t be heading up one of the slimiest politics-of-personal-destruction campaigns of all time.

Several weeks ago I’ve posted at least four other links to videos of Obama lying to the cameras and the American people so I won’t post them again.

Next. Interesting how the whacko left railed against Colin Powell about what a scumbag he was and how he “lied” to the United Nations and American concerning the WMD that Saddam’s regime had had and that he was still not cooperating fully with UNSCOM inspectors and we had to assume he was hiding what was left of his arsenal (we did still find over 600 WMD in various depots the first two years after deposing Saddam).

But now that he’s endorses Barack Hussein Obama, he’s a saint to the Obamatons and we’re the bad guys. I was never a fan of the RINO Powell and the way he allowed the leftists in the State Department to undermine the Bush Administration from 2001 to 2004. However, I thank him for his service to this country during the Vietnam War but that’s it.

Powell has proven the last two years to be a liberal dressed up as a Republican and his support of Obama proves that. Powell knows McCain is far and away more qualified, experienced and accomplished to be POTUS than Obambi, but when Powell came out and said it wasn’t about race … it was about race. So I guess that makes him a closet racist, eh? But to give him the benefit of the doubt, Powell is probably more of a liberal socialist than racist given his support for messiah Obama.

BTW, when The One claimed in debate #3 that it was “absolutely not true I launched my political campaign in Mr. Ayers’ living room,” he may have been engaging in a bit of liberal “truthiness”. He launched his political campaign from Mr. Ayers’ kitchen.

Obama could use the sympathy vote, for starters, but he may also need an excuse for face time with some Hawaiian records officials — the controversy has “urban legend” elements, but there’s more to it than that.

Given that Obummer has spent close to $600 million on his campaign, about four times that of John McCain, the guy ought to be at least thirty points ahead. But then we are a racist nation, right libs? Too bad most of those racists have been identified as Democrats. Recently John Murtha called his own supporters “rednecks and racists”. You can’t make this stuff up.

Here’s an interesting dynamic the libtard national media refuses to cover, ObaMao probably couldn’t pass a security clearance test given his past associations and involvement with people who have radical Islamic ties, his close association and direct involvement in ACORN (a long-time fraudulent voter registration organization that we here at Scrappleface have known about for the last six years and the liberal media is just getting around to report it), his close, “professional” relationship with Bill Ayers from kicking off his campaign from the man’s living room/kitchen to sitting on the same board at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and on other occasions with the man who is “just a neighbor”, receiving financial benefits and a sweetheart deal from real estate mogul Rezko who also has direct ties to radical Islamist groups, and calling a whacked-out, conspiracy-addled, American-hating, Jew-hating Jeremiah Wright his “mentor”. The list goes on.

So here’s ObaMao, with his seemingly endless list of anti-American cheats, liars and terrorists with whom he so easily covorts - failing a standard security clearance test on that basis yet if elected he will have access to all top secret information and extremely sensitive intelligence data not to mention all the data-mining information on American citizens that Presidents have had access to since Eisenhower.

BTW, in a speech yesterday, Biden envisions a scenario were Obambi will be tested by a very serious international event (Iranian nukes?) and will give a weak response that must be defended by American moonbats as the rest of us express out outrage at Obambi’s incompetent weakness. You can’t make this stuff up! No wonder the Donks have been hiding Biden under a rock the last four weeks. And this guy wants to be Vice President. God save us from such morons!

I also prefer a candidate who understands basic economics. John McCain, you are assuredly no Milton Friedman. As a matter of fact, I believe that I could cream you in a game of Monopoly®.

Then again, that remark was made during my support of Mitt Romney. Since then, I have adapted/adopted the Rumsfeld philosophy: You go to a campaign with guns a-blazing with the candidate that you have. Given that Governor Palin has fiscal chops and that McCain wanted to rein in Fannie-Freddie and opts for earmark-free legislation, I will take the adults -McCain/Palin- in this contest.

Barney Frank is making noises about raising taxes via Keynesian failed theory. OhBummer wants to re-cut the pie.

(I lost a considerable chunk of change in retirement investments, accumulated over time and scrimping, because of the greed, irresponsibility, and downright criminal behavior of Democrats in positions of responsibility. To say that I want to reward even further audacity is a fantasy that only a troll wants to entertain.)

Let me clarify: I would cream OhBummer in both a game of Monopoly® AND a game of Risk®.

This is not a time to place our country’s security (says Joe, the Gaffemaster) nor its economy in the hands of a community organizer who managed to flush loads of money down the terlet with absolutely no impact on Chicago students’ academic achievement.

OLA - That link isn’t linking…did you get it from an Obama supporter?

With regard to all of the Liegirl posts, was there anyone on this prestigious blog in the McCain camp during the primaries? I cannot recall one of the regulars here that supported him to be our candidate. This is a conservative blog, we support conservatives first. But now, our superior minds have no difficulty evaluating the candidates and choosing the only American still in the race (not including the also runners that haven’t a snowballs chance in Hades) and supporting him. So for Liegirl to bring this up now represents the kind of defective thought process found in the typical Obama cheerleaders.
The Liegirl types can read the WSJ piece linked in this thread and not give it a second thought, they agree with Ayers, Dohrn, J. Wright, Cone, and Awyukmuhdinnersbad. They side with the Palestinians and wish the nation of Israel would march into the Dead Sea and never come out.
As JL3 recently commented it is an election that deals literally with good vs. evil. I have gone a little farther and say that it is the followers of Satan vs. the people who do not have a burning hatred for God. And that is so obvious that it needs no debate.

You cannot exist as a prominent nation and oppose God at every turn. The national “sins” that the liberals bemoan are not sins that will bring judgment upon our nation, but the ones they are not only willing to tolerate, but fervently promote will bring severe judgment. Thus demonstrating again that they have no relationship with God, and no knowledge of his ways.

We have easily provided more than enough proof about the potential dangers of a Barack Obama presidency to establish reasonable doubt in the minds of would be Obama voters. They are not willing to look at it closely enough to have to admit they ought to consider changing their mind. Barack said that nobody is pro-abortion, yet when you look at his votes and everything he has said, you can hardly draw any other conclusion about what he believes. It is beyond explanation outside of pure hatred for Bush and/or Obama truly is using hypnosis on his subjects. If your goal was the complete destruction of America, I can’t think of anything they are leaving out of their plans. Which makes me think that the religion of pieces have that goal too.
Our economy cannot continue with the new taxation and spending that Obama is talking about, and that WSJ article about the EPA shutting down coal fired power plants…what would we replace them with? What would be the cost? Would we just have to go without electricity? Do you realize the impact on our local economy if you were to shut down the coal mining companies? Do you realize the amount of tax money each of these mines put into the government coffers every day? The government owns all of the mineral rights to the coal here we are talking some serious money there, plus the average starting wage at a coal mine is around $22/hr with full benefits, and triple time on holidays. Ever been to a third world country? Imagine America as being no different, aha, equality at last.

Let’s see if the national socialist media will report this hate crime. And I haven’t see too much coverage at the Republican campaign worker’s car vandalized with swatiskas and any national socialist media coverage of how a Republican campaign bus was hit with .22 fire and paintballs Is the national socialist media really that far into the backpockets of the Reid/Obama/Pelosi hate machine?

Of course only Republicans are guilty of “hate” whereas Obamatons are merely “expressing their frustration” or engaged in “righteous indignation.”

  • 136 Darthmeister // Oct 22, 2008 at 6:15 am

Fred, I guess that’s what Barry Oblahblah means by “change”. Kind of reminds me of when the little Nicaraguan commie Daniel Ortega and his wife came to America to be wined and dined by the Democratic Party back in the 80s.

I wish the Obamas would quite trying to pass themselves off as ordinary Americans really interested in the plight of the American middle-class when they are nothing more than liberal socialist elites, you know, neo-coms.

  • 139 Darthmeister // Oct 22, 2008 at 6:51 am

How the media polls may be wrong.

What’s interesting is each party has its own polling data and we’ve yet to hear from Republicans what their polling is showing. Of course if they are using the same pollsters as the national socialist media, then their polling information may be wrong.

It’s interesting to note during the Democratic presidential nomination race that more than once, later in the campaign, when national socialist media polls showed Obama ahead by eight or ten points, Hillary would end up winning the state by 2 to 4 points. This is anywhere from a ten to fourteen point swing over a period just days before the election poll itself. This also doesn’t take into account how Obama’s campaign corrupted the Democrat’s nomination process.

That’s why some journalists have admitted their angst that Oblahblah doesn’t really perform up to the poll numbers they have for him. Unfortunately I can’t recall his name, but one political pundit said Oblahblah needs to be up in national socialist media polls by nearly fifteen points for him to guaranteee a win. Now why is that so?

Four years ago Evan Thomas of Newsweek explained the phenomenon of how media polls help Democrats even when they underperform:

MR. THOMAS: There’s one other base here, the media. Let’s talk a little media bias here. The media, I think, wants Kerry to win and I think they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards I’m talking about the establishment media, not Fox. They’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and there’s going to be this glow about them, collective glow, the two of them, that’s going to be worth maybe 15 points.

Interesting how the purportedly “objective” news media is good for 15 points for Democrats and if Obama actually does win his presidency he will be haunted with questions of legitimacy since he will be viewed by a growing number of Americans as an affirmative action president who got where he did on the strength of the liberal news media shilling for him as America’s messiah. This will also cement in a growing number of informed Americans’ minds that the national socialist media is little more than the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party … which becomes truer with each passing day and will become even more of a reality if Obama proves to be little more than Jimmy Carter II.

The polls should be discounted until the 72 hours prior to the voting. Most especially the final 24 hours when they will become quite accurate.

In spite of DRUDGE - McCain and Obama are virtually tied within the margin of error.

Again from Rush - at this date in 2000 the polls had algore ahead by 11 points.
In 2004 the polls had JF Kerry ahead by 9 points.

God warned you troll folks, our hands are clean.

    Ezekiel 33

    7
You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the house of Israel; when you hear me say anything, you shall warn them for me.
    8
If I tell the wicked man that he shall surely die, and you do not speak out to dissuade the wicked man from his way, he (the wicked man) shall die for his guilt, but I will hold you responsible for his death.
    9
But if you warn the wicked man, trying to turn him from his way, and he refuses to turn from his way, he shall die for his guilt, but you shall save yourself.
    10
As for you, son of man, speak to the house of Israel: You people say, “Our crimes and our sins weigh us down; we are rotting away because of them. How can we survive?”
    11
Answer them: As I live, says the Lord GOD, I swear I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked man, but rather in the wicked man’s conversion, that he may live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! Why should you die, O house of Israel?
    12
As for you, son of man, tell your countrymen: The virtue which a man has practiced will not save him on the day that he sins; neither will the wickedness that a man has done bring about his downfall on the day that he turns from his wickedness (nor can the virtuous man, when he sins, remain alive).
    13
Though I say to the virtuous man that he shall surely live, if he then presumes on his virtue and does wrong, none of his virtuous deeds shall be remembered; because of the wrong he has done, he shall die.
    14
And though I say to the wicked man that he shall surely die, if he turns away from his sin and does what is right and just,
    15
giving back pledges, restoring stolen goods, living by the statutes that bring life, and doing no wrong, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
    16
None of the sins he committed shall be held against him; he has done what is right and just, he shall surely live.
    17
Yet your countrymen say, “The way of the LORD is not fair!”; but it is their way that is not fair.
    18
When a virtuous man turns away from what is right and does wrong, he shall die for it.
    19
But when a wicked man turns away from wickedness and does what is right and just, because of this he shall live.
    20
And still you say, “The way of the LORD is not fair!”? I will judge every one of you according to his ways, O house of Israel

The only real opposition to Mr. Obama is us here in the conservative republican camp and it seems as though that war began a long time ago…

wv- entirely Wednesday. Here, yes. But somewhere right now it is already Thursday.

“Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” moment -

Sarah Palin reveals to a 3rd grader that she still doesn’t know what the Vice President does:

(Palin) “They’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom. ”

    Yep, one heartbeat away…yu betchya!

    BREAKING NEWS

(AP) Washington D.C. – anonymous officials at the White House have confirmed that they have been contacted by the McCain campaign in an effort to get President George W. Bush to endorse Barack Obama. The President has admitted he will do everything he can to help John McCain succeed him.
The Obama camp has reported to be moving Sen. Biden and Sen. Obama to separate undisclosed locations in preparation for the attack. An Obama campaign spokesperson has been quoted referring to this move as “possibly the most devastating October surprise that anyone could have imagined. “

… and the whacko Biden is an even better choice for VP/President? God save us from such morons.

More voter fraud in Nashville, TN.

I’ll give you three guesses as to which party is behind this voter fraud and the last two guesses don’t count.

At least the Donks at the election polls tried to initially stop this outrage.

Poor, poor O’Bama, it looks as if granny may live through Thursday, and he may have to ACTUALLY go visit with “that typical white person” after all.

Wait, he is O’Bama, “The ONE”, he can simply CHANGE his mind!

It’s not like he hasn’t lied before.

Other jobs O’Bama would suck as would be “first responder, Paramedic, fireman, policeman. They actually believe you should get to someone BEFORE they die!

He is in the perfect job for him, “Guv-mint service(oxymoron)”. Take a number, we will get to you when we can! (Sounds of laughter in the background).

The line that SHOULD sink O’Bama is, “Joe the plumber, -this is the guy McCain is looking out for!”

I wonder if this “articulate” MORON even realizes what he said in those few words?

ALL of us “little people” are Joe the plumber!

I am also sure that the 90% PLUS of blacks that support The “O”, will ignore this statement too, but they will ALSO regret it if he is elected and finally realize O’Bama hates them as much as he does us!

Darth’s link to voter fraud in Nashville shows how some people will do anything to win. The recent changes in the voting laws to make it “easier” to register to vote are nothing more than open doors to cast illegal fraudulent votes. Registering and voting without proof of identity, residency, and even citizenship? Voters voting that cannot read and/or write English? Nothing is too absurd or unethical for the “agents of change” to do, right in front of our eyes. Is it going to be possible to undo all of these changes once we get past this election? Or would that be viewed as being another attempt to move the nation back into its racist past? Whoever is behind this are all traitors, enemies of the Constitution.

All I heard was: bla bla bla Obama, bla bla bla blacks, bla, bla, bla, hate, bla bla bla we’re all doomed, bla bla bla, more hate, bla, bla, bla, “ALL of us “little people” are MORONS!”

    LOL

It isn’t just elections they have been working to steal, our country is being stolen.
We need to start working to rebuild it from the local level up. We need to start at the local PTA’s and boards of education, and rebuild true American infrastructure. We need to make sure the judicial system works to uphold our right to an uncorrupted legal system. If not done, our nation is gone.

Bob Gorrell’s cartoon yesterday in JWR on Liberal logic.

Obama: “It’s totally unfair to criticize me for past connections to leftist radicals like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and ACORN.

After all John McCain has done exactly the same thing.

He hung around with Communists in North Viet Nam”.

Laughing while America descends into a socialist republic where Christianity is despised and people such as yourself are mere subjects of the state.
Obama has become your “everything” we understand your devotion to the man and your unwillingness to understand what change you are voting for next month.
We understand your view of us as here as being a bunch of unintelligent and duped John McCainiacs.
Well, we are not voting for Obama. We have given you enough reason to question your vote, but you are determined to do it anyhow, we are not in the dark here.
The demise of America as it has existed for a couple of centuries isn’t funny to us, we aren’t going to laugh it off.
And, God willing, we will be spared from Obama as president. But it is also clear to us that his defeat would only serve to enrage the leftists who hate us, and everything Christian. You will not go quietly into the night, the hatred will continue to foment.
Perhaps the only way to defeat it is to let it have its shot and to fail miserably. It isn’t what I want to see and the outcome is not guaranteed, (America could cease to exist as it was known) but I have to remind myself that God is in control. Nothing that comes about is outside of his control.
God may have appointed Obama to be our next leader, he has previously used men to bring his judgment upon nations, right?

“All I heard was: bla bla bla Obama, bla bla bla blacks, bla, bla, bla, hate, bla bla bla ”

Where’d you hear that? You need to get your hearing checked. It is only inside your own head.

    MNK,

“Whoever is behind this are all traitors, enemies of the Constitution.”

It is you and many of the people here that have allowed and even endorsed the actions of the Republican party and the current administration. “w” himself has referred the Constitution as “just a piece of paper”. Now you conveniently chose to take interest its protection. Did you completely miss the unwarranted phone tapping?

Trolls know nothing right? Did you miss the 2000 election where the republican party invented many of the tactics used today and in the end, stole the election. Then repeated it again in 2004.
The outcry against voter fraud, vote manipulation, voter suppression and the affect that it could have on the future were ignored. All the “trolls” (Bush haters) were just whining about nothing.

Really what do we have to fear? Y’all had your chance for 8 years. Your elected has screwed this country up far worse than anyone could have imagined.

    GO Obama “the ONE”

    This just in from Elly:

    HIGH NOON IN HAWII!!

Elly . Your suspicions about Obama’s trip to Hawaii not being about his grandma are correct. See this cryptic article below. It appears to be about Obama’s citizenship/birth certificate (not!)?
I have heard talk about this birth certificate issue … But of course, didn’t know where to turn to see if it has truth to it or not. Interesting article below.

Obama’s grandma not sick? My-my! Where is the eagle-eyed “news” media-that travesty decent people everywhere are coming to detest and distrust?

PS: I haven’t watched NBC-CBS-ABC-CNN-MSNBC in months (advertisers note). Are they still around?

  • 167 mig // Oct 22, 2008 at 9:32 pm

I can’t confirm, actually to lazy to confirm that Obamas’ granny broke her hip. She is indeed was/is in the hospital but it wasn’t a death bed experience but an osteo problem.

Better watch out Fred, that whole is he a citizen thing can bring the wrath upon your head. I agree it is an issue, not the single most important issue and I never thought it was. But it is still important. Why? Because it is the law that you be a citizen of this country to be our president.

Ohhh. I see the Lions are rattling their cages scaring the spectators. Don’t throw them food, it isn’t healthy to feed them. They need a special diet.
