(2008-10-08) — “A compelling performance rich with human drama, pathos and suspense” at last night’s second presidential debate inspired NBC to sign John McCain and Barack Obama to seven-figure deals to star in a new reality show which will focus on “what senators talk about when they’re trying to get out of the Senate.”
“This show will have it all,” said an unnamed NBC executive. “An old man stalking around, whispering through clenched teeth. A young man who periodically slips into a trance to gather his thoughts, then talks as if a semi-colon follows each word — producing a new kind of rap music we call ‘clip and paste’. You put these two riveting characters in a carpeted arena in front of two dozen audience members engaged in a staring contest, and you’ve got TV dynamite.”
“Ultimately,” he said, “NBC will unveil the mystery of why Americans haven’t elected a president directly from the Senate in 48 years.”
The network official said NBC is in negotiations with over-the-counter medicine maker Vicks to become the sole sponsor of the program, “which they’ll do as soon as we can prove to them that this show is not a direct competitor to NyQuil®.”

Just got this from a friend. It pretty well sums up Obama…
Body count…In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago, 221 killed in Iraq.
Sens. Barack Obama & Dick Durbin, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., Gov. Rod Blogojevich, House leader Mike Madigan, Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan, Mayor Richard Daley…..our leadership in Illinois…..all Democrats. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago. Of course they’re all blaming each other. Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country. Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look ‘em up). Chicago school system one of the worst in country. This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois.
He’s gonna ‘fix’ Washington politics?

If I heard Obama say aaannnndddddd one more time last night I would have gone ballistic. It was bad enough to hear McCain throw in another multi-generational buy out.
With the radicals running amok unchecked and McCains lackluster fight, AmeriKKKa is in trouble.
We have problems right here in our HUD building (and in Ohio) with the Democrats, multiply that radical politics by thousands and we are sunk

Go Ralph!
Even he would have been no more effective at inducing sleep (and he’s pretty darned good at it!) then those 2 last night.
At least I now know that John considers me “his friend”, that’s nice I guess.

It was a good debate. McCain kept talking about the past instead of what he’ll do in the future. Obama (or “The half white, half black man”, as Ms. RW so eloKKKuently calls him.) definitely handled the ball better overall. Advantage - Obama!
Beautiful day here in NY. Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of stock brokers.
Hipster Dads For Obama!

I guess I should rely on better minds with better memories. Thank you Mike Gallagher.
1) Barrack dissed President Bush about 911. When Bush told Americans to go out and support the economy, Barrackity told the listeners Bush just told them to go spend money.
President Bush knew the terrorist wanted to break us financially (who knew it would be the Democrats who finally did).
2.) Barrack thinks the Constitution gives you free medical care. I think it is in the 149th amendment or something.
3.) Brother can you spare a mind

I also think class warfare sounds better to the morass of the masses. If you point to the camera and say “What were you thinking you stupid idiot for buying that house, all run down, full of rats and neighbors who were selling crack, for twice its value.”
If McCain would have said later, “Why did you not seek legal help with the contract before you signed the contract or did they tell you the government would bail you out,” fire then would have burned down the sub prime ghetto.
Instead if you hand the audience a box of chocolates, which you could never digest, you will win them over. Lies look better than the truth, but oh my, what a case of indigestion you will insue.
Look, in the old days, I was on the winning debate team in our High School district. I know how to sap folks. Plus the Town Hall setup was a fluke. What a sham. Tom Brokaw-you ain’t right.
