I’d say happy travels but you’ll have to get out of the Charlotte airport before that can happen! Enjoy flying into Vegas. If this is your first landing there I hope you have a window seat.

I’m in a great mood today. Tired after a road trip but quite happy. My wife reached 20 months into her pregnancy and the ultrasound told us that we are having a baby boy. His name is Benjamin Charles and he is due to be born February 5th 2009. We watched the little guy moving around, stretching, etc, he is healthy and quite a living person.
Some of you pro baby murder (aka abortion pro choice types) ought to sit through an ultra sound some time and then try to tell me that abortion is a choice. It would seem that even trolls could not be that stupid, but I know stupidity is not the issue. People simply put their own self comfort ahead of the innocent helpless unborn. Letting the unborn live and raising the child costs money, time, effort, commitment, and emotional attachment.
So called men don’t want the costs and don’t care to be responsible for being a father and a husband. Women don’t want to be saddled with the responsibility of doing without the worthless sperm donor who got her pregnant. The baby pays the price for the sins of the consenting adults.
God willing my son will be born healthy. He will become part of a loving family. All the self serving arguments of the left fall short of the ultrasound showing this living baby who they refuse to recognize as human. I guess it comes down to what it always does. Either they are stupid or they think we are.

Okay, so it is an old hippie folk song, but I like it anyhow. First song I learned on me ol’ guitar.
All my bags are packed
I’m ready to go
I’m standin here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin
Its early morn
The taxis waitin
He’s blowin his horn
Already I’m so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you’ll wait for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me go
cause I’m leavin on a jet plane
Don’t know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go.

What’s your the ETA for little Mack? When my wife was pregnant she only lasted roughly 9 months, what’s up with your’s taking so long? I assume you meant 20 weeks, but it’s OK to get all rattled when it comes to babies! WARNING - Babies develop into TEENAGERS! Congrats to the both of y’uns.
Godspeed to you Scott, I believe there is a lot of good that can be realized through blogging for the Lord, whatever the medium, exalting Christ is the goal.

Obama backs Government Rescue Plan
What, Obama is agreeing with the Bush Rescue Plan? Buwahahahahahaha. Guess he didn’t want to miss this surge either.
It won’t be long before this empty suit will try to hog all the credit for himself … you know, Dick Cheney stole Obambi’s economic recovery plan by hacking into his computer type stuff. After all, he’s lied before by taking credit for bills that he had nothing do with or didn’t vote on them. SSDD. And the Congressional Donks certainly can’t take any credit because they were busy skeddadling out of Washington.
BTW, on principle I’m opposed to government bailouts but given how the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac debacle precipitated these market palpitations and given how FM/FM is actually a quasi-government financial institution with a direct line of credit to the federal treasury under the oversight of the U.S. Congress (yes, the U.S. Congress that the Donks run), then it’s only fair the gov’mint tries to stabilize that in which it had a hand in compromising. What people don’t realize is that FM/FM were required to extend mortagages to people who had very questionable financial ability to pay back home mortgages because, in the words of the Donks like Barney Frank, “every American should be able to own a home.”
The Federal National Mortgage Association, nicknamed Fannie Mae, and the Federal Home Mortgage Corporation, nicknamed Freddie Mac, have operated since 1968 as government sponsored enterprises (GSEs). This means that, although the two companies are privately owned and operated by shareholders, they are protected financially by the support of the Federal Government and thus subject to another layer of federal regulations. These government protections include access to a line of credit through the U.S. Treasury, exemption from state and local income taxes and exemption from SEC oversight.
So I guess since congressional oversight and federal regulations haven’t worked the last two years then the answer is - according to Demoncrats like Obambi, Pelosi, and Reid - more congressional oversight and more federal regulations! You can’t make this stuff up!

How is it that my refusal to vote for Obuhhhhma is my inner racist showing through, but I’ve refused to vote for nearly every democrat on every ballot I have ever cast, including Mr.Peanut, Bubba, and JoKe? Were they blacks too? In hindsight, I’d sooner vote for Bubba, than for OB/GYN-man.

If Biden says it’s patriotic to pay taxes*, and Rangel didn’t pay his, can we now question Rangel’s patriotism?
*[Is Biden coyly implying that the Donks will start raising taxes out the wazoo if messiah is coronated?]

Rangel should be dispatched to the federal penitentiary forthwith.
I experienced a momentary self-contained guffaw when I read that they towed his car from where it had been illegally parked for several years.
There’s way too many layers of bureaucracy goin’ on around here (like a planet-sized “Bloomin’ Onion”); it’s too lucrative, for one thing.
And that’s what’s wrong; not the underlying Fundamentals of the Economy which are still Sound in essence, that is, at their core (as in the Fact that the underlying Fundamentals of The Constitution of the United States of America are still quite Sound, Thank You very much).

Joe Biden is known for being a plagiarist. Now we know he’s a political opportunist and a liar.
Why would a man continue in a lie about how his first wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver when the official investigation clearly stated the other driver was NOT intoxicated? And this guy could be a heartbeat from the presidency? Maybe the lamestream media ought to be checking out the presidential fitness of this guy like they have been of Sarah Palin.

I have to relate an event to my Scrapple folks. I went back home to my Alma Mater to watch a football game. This is the game of the year so my band-mother friend took me there.
To begin it was rather hard to root for my old school because I was in the visitors section, but you know me-if it is my school I cheer.
Well after a night of dirty looks we headed for the parking lot when my friend met another former workmate from Head Start.
Let me first explain the obvious that Head Start is packed with liberals, including my friend who won’t talk politics around me. So the two of them starts in about a picture of George Bush that hangs in the room. They hate it, but for the kids sake they have to have it.
I told that lady that like it or not he still is president and like Clinton, who I didn’t care for, but when he was the president he deserved to have his picture hanging in the school room while he was still in office.
Well that set it off, she turned into a screaming idiot, got right in my face and said how Bush was, blah, blah , blah and how rich they were while Clinton was president.
So I told her nobody, and I mean nobody gets into my face about anything and she had better back off. She didn’t. She went on about the war at which time I reminded her Clinton bombed Bosnia in order to save the Moslems, burned out a church in Waco and deported a poor child to Cuba.
Plus that I can’t respect a president who puts cigars……..Well you get the message. Then she really blew up and went into hyper in-your-face screaming, the the point someone had to drag her away.
I told her, as she left screaming, that like all you liberals, when you can’t win an argument you start yelling. I admit I about lost it and told my friend I am sorry, but never, never get in my face and start screaming, especially about Clinton.
Yes, I eventually calmed down after I had my Wendy’s Frostie. That is all, and all have a good night.

20 weeks is correct. How ever I was very excited and very tired when I wrote the post. Still excited but less tired.
As some of the old timers here know, we lost our first baby about 4 years ago. I just wish Santini was still here for this one. He is hanging out in Heaven now though, we’ll catch up with him later.

That’s what the Obamaniacs call a “Campaign Strategy.”

The lamestream media is now officially in the business of racebaiting.
Now who are the ones always bringing up race? Liberals, is it not? I haven’t heard one legitimate conservative anywhere making an issue of the color of his skin. There’s a whole lot not to like about Obambi once you get past his public facade and its mostly his policies and slimey lies about McCain and Palin that he’s allowed to be circulated in his name and behind the scenes on the left-wing blogs.
From what I’ve seen here and elsewhere in the mainstream conservative blogosphere, Oblahblah is being criticized strictly on the basis of his leftist ideology, his disingenuous claim of wanting “change” when he’s shown no inclination to change things in his own life like going to a whacked out conspiracy-addled church for twenty years (talk about “living in the darkness” and “clinging to ones religion” - Oblahblah was actually describing himself!), his denial for the longest time that the surge wasn’t working, and his pathology of taking credit for legislative bills that he neither authored, co-authored or voted on.
The Obama campaign has already thrown down the race card and now the lamestream media is trying to put Americans on a liberal white guilt trip.
An empty suit is an empty suit despite whatever its color may be. If voters actually do reject Obama on the basis of “race”, it will be on the basis of the shameless race card which the Donks and their willing shills in the lamestream media are playing which claims the reason a person didn’t vote for Oblahblah was because he’s “black” or “half-black” or “the first black messiah” blah, blah, blah.
This is yet another reason I despise liberals, they are always projecting their fascist, anal-retentive views of race on everyone else. Can’t someone simply not like a person or his inane leftist policies despite the color of his skin or will it always be because of “race”?
31 Darthmeister // Sep 20, 2008 at 8:59 am
gafisher, I hope the Obamatons keep up their hatefest. Nothing turns off swing voters and independents more than “someone getting in their face.”
We’re seeing the rise of a cult, a religio-political cult which has to shout its message in order to monopolize the public discourse. Obama is such a shameless charlatan and let’s hope these kind of tactics will backfire big-time.
They forget, you can harass and embarass someone in public, maybe even cow them, but when they are in the privacy of that voting booth they’re going to remember how they were publicly humiliated and vote against such fascist tactics. This is exactly what the brownshirts did in 1932 Germany, they shouted down their competition and publicly humiliated them. We’re already seeing it in the letters-to-the-editor forum of our local newspaper and independents are writing in complaining about all the over-the-top hate letters from our local cadre of “outspoken” leftists.
We can thank Oblahblah’s blind adherence to the radical leftist tactics of one Saul Alinksy. This is right out of Alinsky’s playbook.

I don’t know if the lady I described above even got around to Obama because she was screaming so loud about Bush. Hate Bush! My God they are crazy.
I had fun in the football stands when I asked why the opposing team had a bunch of guys running around in hunting apparel. Turns out my Alma Mater was the Grizzlies and they were Grizzly hunting. I lifted my cane and started yelling Go Palin, Go Palin!
I don’t know how many about me were liberals, but I imagine a few.
33 gafisher // Sep 20, 2008 at 9:37 am
Last evening my wife and I saw the latest Obama ad, the one which blames the closure of a Corning Glass factory on John McCain. A little further study shows the ad is highly misleading — the plant in question manufactured old-fashioned television picture tubes.
I scribbled a few thoughts on the subject here if anyone’s interested.
34 Darthmeister // Sep 20, 2008 at 9:44 am
From Newsbusters:
“Comic” Sandra Bernhard: Palin Would Be Gang-Raped By Blacks in Manhattan
As one poster noted, does anyone think this kind of rage that Obamabi’s campaign has generated means good things down the road for America? If liberals and blacks are looking for a no-holds-barred fight, they might get a little bit more than they bargained for if they keep this kind of provocative stuff up.
She’s a white girl Obama worshipper spewing this venom at a Jewish Community Center. How’s that for chutzpah?
35 Darthmeister // Sep 20, 2008 at 9:55 am
BTW, already the Donks are getting blowback from independent voters.
We had one local citizen, RB, who wrote a letter to the editor saying before McCain picked Sarah Palin he wasn’t going to vote for either Obama or McCain since he wasn’t happy with either one.
But after the liberal Democrat and media assault on Mrs. Palin, he now says, “I’m voting for Sarah Palin.” He also has working daughters and wondered aloud in his letter how it was that the Donks are now showing their true colors and betraying women, particularly women who aren’t (in my words) on the Democratic plantation.
I can post the salient parts of the letter if anyone is interested.
