Hey, When I’m the second one posting, you have to know the traffic is down. Maybe it’s McCain’s incredibly boring speech last night, that knocked whatever wind the conservative sails had.

Thanks for inspiring us John Bush.

Today is marking the history of change. My wife’s grandpa is for the first time in his adult life voting for not only a non-Democrat by for a Republican. He usually just hits the Democrat button in the booth and is done. This time he discovered Obama is a Socialist and it made him mad. Nancy Pelosi has made him embarrassed to admit that he is and always has been a Union Democrat. Obama is making changes happen alright.

My partner says he is a Democrat but thinks Obama is satan. He also thinks Sarah Palin is God’s gift the the country. History again is made. The MSM is freaking out in full attack mode against Governor Palin which is really making real women in America angry. Real American men are ticked that a nice mother of five is being so viciously attacked by the left and are going to vote Republican for that reason.

McCain actually served the country, fought for the country, bled for the country, and ,makes Obama look like the little pip squeak snivel baby he is. Though everyone knows I wasn’t all that fired up by McCain I now am. This is shaping up to be a bigger landslide for the conservatives than when Mondale got stomped by Reagan. Or when Carter got stomped by Reagan.

Difference between Carter and Obama? Carter is actually an American. Obama claims to be a citzen of the world.

There’s dumb and dumber then going further down there’s stupid and stupider (more stupid?)

Some years ago it was said,”A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage” – Herbert Hoover - 1928.
    Great-great grandparents were poor.
    Great grandparents were poor.
    Grandparents were poor.
    Parents were poor.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK - Sir Charles Barkley “Poor People have been voting for Democrats for the last 50 years … and they are still poor.”

When will they wake up and realize that the agenda of the Democrats is predicated on the need to keep them poor, feed them the hoax of empty promises of clinging to hope and change instead of their Bibles and guns so they can keep getting re-elected.

As it is, Detroit is almost solid Democrats and their Mayor is going to prison. Ken Cockrel Jr., the 42-year-old president of the Detroit City Council, will take over as mayor in two weeks.

The only respite has been moments in history when a Republican President brought prosperity.

Jimmy Carter, unarguably the worst president in American history brought the country to the brink of total collapse - so bad that it took Reagan almost two years to turn the country around. Bush 41 was a centrist who barely managed to stay even and then came Bill Clinton who worked untiringly to reverse or delete everything Reagan had accomplished (and almost succeeded). Bush 43 is like his dad, a centrist.

The congress is behaving like a drunken sailor on shore leave spending taxpayers monies like it was salt water.

Today we are faced with a Presidential candidate on the Democrat side who, if elected will make Jimmy Carter’s presidency look like a godsend and another candidate who at best will stand pat or at worst be another Bush 41 (a centrist)

Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is the first bright light on the scene since Reagan left (and of course with her as his V.P. ‘McBrilliant’ will win this November)

But the very idea that there is a congregation of close to half of the voting Americans who will vote for their religious cult’s self-proclaimed messiah, because he too is committed to the hoax of empty promises of hope and change so he can get elected; borders on being the script of a very bad SciFi movie or a chapter in the next”Best Alternative Histories” novel.

    IN GOD WE TRUST

    (And he’s just such a cutie-pie!!) (In a totally non-metrosexual way….like Sarah’s Todd!) ;-)

Fred, this is what we end up with when our children are forced a diet of 12 years (at least) of putrid liberal pap in the form of a free education….and what you get when roughly half the population pays no income tax and what they do pay in Social Security and Medicare is returned to them as Earned Income Credit! Now, when these people reach retirement age, do you suppose they will expect a Social Security check?! Hmmmm???

  • 9 upnorthlurkin // Sep 5, 2008 at 3:41 pm

And, not that Fred isn’t a cutie-pie, but my post of 3:26pm was supposed to slide in there ahead of Fred’s post of 3:24pm.

No, let’s just help find bad teachers another line of work! When I graduated high school, granted, I didn’t know how to put a condom on a banana, but I could read, add, subtract, multiply, divide, make change….in short, I was employable! Nowadays, the kids need remedial reading and math as college frosh….

It is a fun but strange day here in NE Ohio as the number #2 rag serving this area has closed down its former topic page (TOPIX) and added a kinder more gentler comment page that is monitored 24/7.

Now what I don’t know at this time is whether the hate spewing left with its bombardment of mean, demented comments changed the style of commentary or was it the unexpected number of civil commentary from the right that scared them enough to put up a monitored page.

So far much of what I have commented on has not been published. Another step toward censorship of ideas. Barack, your help is on its way.

During the week of the Republican National Convention, I’ve been on vacation in The Berkshires…in Taxachusetts, home of Gay “marriage”.

However, I did catch McCain’s acceptance speech last night, and read Gov. Palin’s today. What a dynamic duo! :-)

Todd Palin who is 1/4 Eskimo, may inspire a return to the Eskimo kiss…..and I mean this in a “totally non-metrosexual way).
