Okay folks, hands down she delivered. I had a smile on my face the whole time she spoke. Love that gal.

Pundits, shove it. She’s da wo man

It looks like the carnival came to town on the hip-hop express. I really didn’t see much leadership qualities in that group until the gray haired old hippie came along.

He could lead a pack of jack arses right out of town and back to Illinois

Scott needs a crowd control PA.

Okay, I saw Palin and I gotta say she BROUGHT it! I couldn’t even get mad watching her. And this is coming from a liberal Dem-Donk ObamaFREAK troll. She’s my new girlfriend now and not just because she’s HOT and also has a daughter named Piper.

    This is getting good.

Scott, you have more patience than I, that is for sure!!!

What a speech! Did she ever hit it out of the part. Like you MsRightwing, Ink, I grinned through the whole thing.

My favorite line? “When the stadium lights are turned out and the styrofoam Greek columns are carried back to the lot…”

Funniest liberal comment I heard was on MSNBC when Chris Mathews had to sound all smart and stuff and said, “I thought that the Republicans nominated her to bring in the Hillary voters and so I thought that she would sound like Hillary. Well, I didn’t hear Hillary at all tonight!”

    Thank God!!! :-)

Oh the humanity. Does this contingent of geniuses truly demonstrate the product of the educational institution as a whole? If so, their loss of a day of classes was probably well spent articulating the political standpoint of the liberal issues that infect the secondary educational system.

Well, I think that she made her case now it is up to the masses to open up thier minds to the ideas that she brings. Those undecideds and sceptics need to read the speeches from both conventions and see how they hold up against eachother, like a pro and con list. I think Obama will pale in comparison when the words are read. When Obama speaks, the orator overshadows the message. When Palin spoke, her message was clear as a bell on a foggy night.

Hey, my daughter turns 16 today. Pray for her, and of course the other drivers on the road

Mig: It’s all downhill from there!!! :-)
You are right. If you put the two speeches together and take away the voice inflections, the facial expressions and the crowds cheering, you get one that is flowery promises and one that is stark reality.

After watching Giuliani enjoy his opening-act role as he delivered a stream of world-class, 1-2-3-yerout smack-downs, I breathed a sigh of relief; finally, the gloves are off. He did his best to cause multiple Leftist heads to explode.

No more rock-em sock-em robots, bring on the Full Contact Karate.

Governor Palin & Family appear to be the face of what I think of as the real America; not just of today, but historically—like when OH was still part of The Northwest Territory or my ancestors arriving, mid-17th century, on the Atlantic coast or the 1849ers or, yes, even [Little House on the Prairie]. Couldn’t each most of us put ourselves somewhere in their Family portrait? Mister Palin has chin hair! I have chin hair! Snowmobile Champion! Marathoner! Guns! 2012! 2020, even!!!!!

Now. Tonight. McCain needs to stride to the end of the cat walk and look directly into the zoomed-in camera with a stone-face to say, “And, now, for something completely different…..”

Once the riotous laughter has subsided, John Sydney McCain III needs to articulate with specificity just what we can expect from his administration. He should take this opportunity to give us some of that Straight Talk—that’s how to keep the Leftists out of the WH, they cannot compete on an adult level.

Happy Birthday, Miglette. Look both ways, remember it’s always safer to go Right, and beep twice if you’re driving up my sidewalk.

(I rode with all five of our kids when they took their road tests. My wife waited in the coffee shop. We both prayed our way through it every time, and though there have been a few fender-benders over the years the Lord has kept all our kids safe.)

Funny — people like Obama, Kerry and the rest court the Europeans and shudder that Republicans might offend the folks in Brussels or Berlin. Look at the foreign papers today — Governor Palin has them cheering in the stands, not by kowtowing to them but by being what the rest of the world used to respect about Americans. The “Shining City on a Hill” is shining once again.

    I love it-great statement.

WV: 12,000 delayed. What happened when she spoke last night. A lot of journalist didn’t get to bed early. Had to do rewrites

Governor Sarah Palin demonstrates for America what content of one’s character means. She walks the talk. Achievement needs no teleprompter.

Palin is well beyond any identity box that the media use to define politics or politicians. She is Country First!

If anyone saw this speech on C-Span, the genuine moment of what a wonderful family the Palins are was the spit hair grooming of Trig by young Piper. Her unrehearsed imitation of momma-love as she held the baby was a defining example the authenticity of the Palins.

BTW The anti-MSNBC interviewees need to return to the classroom… STAT. Is English their second language?

  • 15 upnorthlurkin // Sep 4, 2008 at 11:29 am

I love the smell of panic in the morning!! OLA, I too watched Piper do the spit-comb of baby Trig! Yeah, I don’t think you can rehearse moments like that one! I’m betting part of the anger felt by the Lame Stream pondscum spreaders this morning is due to the “Cuda’s” failure to defend herself against their smears! She refused to play the victim, she (like my guy, Reagan) ignored their dirty, ugly rumor mongering and took her message directly to the people!!
I just ordered my t-shirt… Big Mac and the Cuda!!

  • 17 gafisher // Sep 4, 2008 at 12:28 pm

UNL Re#15: Panic indeed! I heard the Dem campaign ordered two truckloads of Depends. In my own state of Michigan, the Mayor of Detroit ruined a pair of silk shorts, then plea-bargained himself out of office and into prison when he heard Gov. Palin might stop by on her next campaign visit. Michelle Obama accidentally heard five seconds of Palin’s speech and was momentarily proud of her country for the second time in her life. Even Chris Matthews got a tingle he’s never felt before.

Scott, I am hungering for a new video.

Next election maybe we can hire a professional three video setup complete with Dolbyℱ Stereo.

Also, if you folks didn’t catch it, while OB1 was campaigning here in Ohio he told the crowd he was glad to be in New Pennsylvania when in fact he was in New Philadelphia.

Does that make Ohio the 58th state?

  • 19 gafisher // Sep 4, 2008 at 12:53 pm

Ms RW,Ink: New Pennsylvania, New Philadelphia — what’s the difference?

Either way it calls to mind the Liberty Bell, the Declaration of Independence, Minutemen, Bitter Clingers, and other sorts of patriotic stuff. If you want to see Obama happy you’ve got to see him in pre-Nixon Hanoi, pre-Reagan East Berlin, or pre-Bush Baghdad.

Today’s “Day by Day” echoes how a lot of us feel today.

  • 23 danimal // Sep 4, 2008 at 3:02 pm

Ignorance is bliss, isn’t it? Those are the rank and file nose pickers who will be herded onto school buses and brought to the polls to do as they’re told, fooled once again by the empty promise of government issued dignity and prosperity on the horizon. In other news, the buses that were supposed to be used to evacuate New Orleans pre-Katrina will roll on Election Day as they always do.

But their shepherds are becoming increasingly fractious, angry and irrelevant. That’s what Obama surrogates really are. Like the ones who pose as ‘journalists’ on MSNBC, CBS, CNN
Self marginalizing partisan hypocrites that they are – shamelessly crossing the line of human decency in pursuit of Sarah Palin in a way not seen since Salem, 1693. It seems they’re using virtually the same trial methods, too.

Evidently, she walks the walk, clinging bitterly to god and guns, which coincidentally are the 1st and 2nd Amendments respectively. At the top of the list our founders fought for are the 2 fundamentals of freedom that “liberals” hate the most. Open contempt for such things comes naturally to them.

Seems that Palin has gotten the activist press completely unhinged and it shows in their reckless brutality. What’s that running down your leg, Mr. Matthews?

Trying to turn McCain/Palin ticket into the Jerry Springer Show will blow up in your face, lefty media dudes and dudettes. Gee, if only you could strip away her values and character, throw in a few years, a few pounds, a few hot flashes, put her in a pantsuit

“a group of young men whose education had been brutally cut short by MSNBC”

LMHO! The education of these young “men” was brutally cut short a long time before this interview! Gee, I never would’ve guessed that this group of mental giants were Obama voters prior to hearing them say it…heh, heh, heh.

Scott, you were absolutely hilarious on this video…hilarious!!

News Flash: Female Alaskan hunter dispatches moose in Chappaqua. More at 11.

Couldn’t resist. I wouldn’t want to be a throwable object in HRC’s house, that’s for sure.

Duck, Bill! Oops, I made another funny.

  • 26 Just Ranting // Sep 4, 2008 at 3:14 pm

Dig out your old bobby pins ladies. You’ll know Sara Palin is the rage when women everywhere give up contact lenses and start wearing chic eyeglasses and their hair up. The Dems and Bausch & Lomb are quaking today.

Mrs. JR is applying for a hunting license and reading “50 Ways to Prepare Moose”.

  • 27 da Bunny // Sep 4, 2008 at 3:30 pm

That loony-tunes fool who was claiming that IL got rid of the death penalty because of rigged forensics results was simply spewing the PC line that was put out at the time IL got rid of their Death Row. [I know...I know. How racist to prosecute and punish those actually committing violent crimes!]

The IL state legislature, led by Obamanites like Emil Jones [D-Chicago Thug], wanted to get rid of the death penalty because too many “black people” were being sent to Death Row. [I think Obama was in the IL State Senate at the time, too.] Former Gov. George Ryan [R-Absolute Corruption], in an effort to pander to those who were about to bring him down for his criminal and corrupt activities, caved in and cleaned out Death Row, reducing the inmates to serving life sentences. Ryan was trying to get some future leniency for himself…nothing more, nothing less.

Btw, among these former IL Death Row inmates were a black man and a black woman from Chicago who had brutally murdered a young white woman, before cutting her unborn baby out of her womb and murdering another of her children. They then kidnapped the baby, who miraculously survived, and were going to keep it…until they were caught. I can see why scum like Obama, Jones and their ilk would insist that fine human beings like this NOT be put to death. Ending the lives of these murderous filth would be racist, but the crimes they committed weren’t, right?
