Obama Begs Palin: Don’t Punish Bristol with a Baby

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 55 Comments

(2008-09-01) — As news broke of the pregnancy of Sarah Palin’s eldest daughter, Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama pleaded with the GOP vice presidential candidate not to be too harsh with her daughter, who plans to marry the father of the child.

“Gov. Palin,” said Sen. Obama addressing himself to her personally, “you tried to teach your daughter about morals and values, but she made a mistake, and she shouldn’t be punished with a baby.”

As a goodwill gesture, Sen. Obama offered to pay for Bristol Palin’s abortion “at any time between now and the scheduled moment of birth.”

it will be fun to see the dems try to shoot her down. When every conserative in America realizes its the pressures of pre marital sex is caused by THEM in the first place.

Alaska is a different place.. Kids have kids at younger ages.. and become good parents.

Dems still have huge problems in their ranks with Moms with no dads.

Yet, they will throw stones at what scares them… An regular conservative becoming popular

Society these days destroys a child’s innocence at such a young age. Young people in small isolated towns often lack in entertainment and find sex as one of the few things to do to pass the time. You cannot turn back the hands of time, you cannot give back their innocence. Some young couples manage to grow up and take on the responsibility of a family, most do not, grandma becomes the mom while the child goes out to do it all over again. The real problem is not so much with the teen sex, but with the inability/unwillingness of many to step up and become adults once they have began to engage in “adult” activities. More people need to hold them accountable for their actions, so many young girls have multiple babies with multiple fathers, some of which are willing to do the right thing by them if only they would permit it.

“Incidentally, there’s a balanced position that all of America’s presidential candidates could take on the controversial abortion issue. If they want votes they shouldn’t campaign to make abortion illegal or legal. They should campaign to make it retroactive. If a kid reaches 25 and he or she is still jobless, feckless, and sitting around Starbucks acting like a – no offense – European, then whack. ”

I don’t really care if Bristol is pregnant. It’s good that she hasn’t been turned out of her home and it’s good that she didn’t get rid of the baby.

The dems are going to insist that conservative America finds it unacceptable and justify dragging Bristol, the babys’ father and grandparents and aunts and uncle through the muck-luck.

“There but for the grace of God go I.”

Left wingers cannot win fairly on the issues. They are the lowest form of life with no imagination. I only hope that they take responsibility if Obama, the “uh um..ah..um..umm ah candidate plunges the United States into complete and total chaos. It is the left wing nut jobs who never take responsibility for their votes. Remember the only thing that gives them ability to voice their opinions, however ludicrous, are the very concepts of democracy and capitalism they so hate. If Obama does get elected, his complete and total inexperience coupled with his god like arrogance may very well create the socialistic euphoria the left wing truly want. Careful what you wish for. Take responsibility for your vote and understand that when your wonderful euphoria leaves you wanting…you will once again turn to us to fix your mess.

    A snippet from DRUDGE

Over 10M has been raised in the 2 & 1/2 days since Gov. Paulin was picked as McCains V.P. more than twice of any previous month.

Obama stated that candidates families are off limits, especially their children. “No one connected to my campaign is involved in these rumors; if I thought there was, they would be fired”
    Over 10M in 2&1/2 days - that’s a WoW!

“Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates,” the statement concluded.

Senior McCain campaign officials said McCain knew of the daughter’s pregnancy when he selected Palin last week as his vice presidential running mate, deciding that it did not disqualify the 44-year-old governor in any way.

In the short period since she was announced last Friday, Palin has helped to energize the Republican Party’s conservative base, giving the McCain camp fresh energy going into the campaign for the November 4 election against Democrat Barack Obama.

McCain officials said the news of the daughter’s pregnancy was being released to rebut what one aide called “mud-slinging and lies” circulating on liberal blog sites.

A senior McCain campaign official said the McCain camp was appalled that these rumors had not only been spread around liberal blog sites and partisan Democrats, but also were the subject of heightened interest from mainstream news media.

“The despicable rumors that have been spread by liberal blogs, some even with Barack Obama’s name in them, is a real anchor around the Democratic ticket, pulling them down in the mud in a way that certainly juxtaposes themselves against their ‘campaign of change,’” a senior aide said.

A happy day at “Friendly Freddy’s Foxhole”.

I wasn’t able to attend last years ‘Face to face’ despite Brewmiker’s wonderful offer to come and get me and care for my needs (thanks a lot buddy) but today Gary Fisher came by with his lovely wife and loaned me the book “The Best Alternate History Stories of the 20th Century” which he had offered after my deleted post the other day.

Scott was 100% correct with the delete. If I had had an delete spot to click I would have deleted myself, even at the instant I clicked on submit. It was my one and only delete since I found SF.

Anyway it was a truly wonderful time with the Fishers. A great couple. They tried my eggshell coffee and said they liked it, a great hour with fellow Scrapplers. Made me very happy that I’m still on this side of the grass.

The coffee’s always on for any other Scrapplers that find themselves in Holland, WEST Michigan (McCain/Palin country) - The Peoples Republic of EAST Michigan is another story (Obama bin Biden Country).

  • 20 PanamaRed // Sep 1, 2008 at 6:26 pm

MkKid pretty well summed it up in his two posts, but the MSM is not going to drop this issue.

They will bring up “family values”,” what kind of a mother”. etc. They are already bringing up how will she care for a special-needs child and be VP. How did Ted Kennedy manage to be a Senator without scotch?

We try and raise our children to do the right thiings in life but when they go out into the world of liberal schools, movies, media, Hollywood and it’s portrayal of how to act with child rearing when they can’t even control themselves as adults (?) how can we expect that some of that will not seep through to kids even well raised ones? Chelsea Clinton was off limits to the media and still is…no negative press there re. boyfriends, drug use (if any), partying etc. You can rest assured that Gov. Palin’s daughter wiill not get the same treatment.

I watched Bill Maher’s first show and the only intelligent, fair person on the panel was a woman show-host from PBS. Unfortunately, every time she made a valid point or comparison, the token actor, Maher, or John Corzine (D) Gov. of NJ would immediately jump in or minimize her point. The reporter from Rolling Stone was just allowed to give the left viewpoint, although you could tell that he had some positive things to say about the Republicans.

MSNBC should have to run a disclaimer with Mattews and Olbermann saying “Democrat Shills” from their coverage of the DNC Ordination of the “Messiah!” Obama won’t be the first white person with negro blood in the WH, at least two president’s before him were of mixed races, but that’s history we really don’t want to bring up since it was before there were Republicans. Everyone seems to forget Obama’s mother was white, he was raised by his white grandmother and all the accomplishments he lists by his ancestors are on his mother’s side, so Barack is just a white guy posing as a black guy to get votes. If it were put that way to the voters, then his lack of anything legislative, academic or other supposed qualifications wouldn’t have even beat Biden’s 6% showing in the primaries.
It’s all about the race card. Even Hillary was more qualified than Obama, but the party that supposedly supports equal status for women came up short again yet God forbid that McCain picks a woman as VP. I guess only liberal women politicians qualify for that priviledge.
Politics is no longer the serving of the country but of serving one’s party and one’s self, and I for one am tired of it.

  • 21 mindknumbed kid // Sep 1, 2008 at 6:29 pm

I heard on my radidio today that Obama was urging folks to help the Gustav victims, but he was asking for the American Red Cross to help them…

I’m confused, I’ve always thought that organizations such as the Red Cross were there to help without being begged to do so. Mr. Obama, that is what they do, do you not know this already? The suit doesn’t get any emptier than this, he could not be ready to lead our nation if he spent the next six months being tutored 24/7, he just doesn’t know enough about what goes on in day to day America, let alone how to lead the nation. Folks, you just can’t fix stupid.

The Donks probably would have applauded if Sarah had a “D” after her name and her daughter had chosen to murder her baby in the womb. It would have been a private decision, right? But have an “R” after your name and have an unmarried daughter (to this point) who chooses to carry a baby to term, weeeeell that’s a whole different story. Some pretty sick and twisted puppies on the other side of the aisle.

What I don’t understand is why the Donks aren’t coming out and defending Bristol for being so “enlightened” in experimenting with sex a such a young age. After all, that’s what thirteen through eighteen year-old girls are suppose to do in the libtard’s brave new world, right? Of course the only real mistake in all this is that Sarah wasn’t buying her daughter’s boyfriend condoms are letting them use the safety of her bedroom, right?

Instead, the LibDonks will conduct their predictable public inquisition and cluck their tongues that mommy didn’t lock her daughter in the basement or have a big enough baseball bat to keep the boys away. If the Donks don’t crucify, the liberal media will. Now how enlightened is that?

Of course liberals just simply love double-standards because they find it advances their political fortunes.

If the truth be told the Palin’s are handling their daughter’s pregnancy exactly the way it should. It’s the liberal hatemongers and their willing accomplices in the media who should be hanged for being such partisan hypocrites.

There’s also a filthy rumor by liberal bloggers that Sarah faked the pregnancy of her Down Syndrome child to cover for the “fact” it was really Bristol’s baby! This is the kind of crap we can expect from the liberal Democrats in the coming years … they and their endless conspiracy theories

Clearly liberals have raised the politics of personal destruction to an artform. I guess this is the kind of “change” we can expect from these dirtbags.

Heh, heh…it doesn’t take much to provoke the leftists loons into showing their true colors. Laughing and gloating about Hurricane Gustav hitting NOLA during the RNCC, crazy Daily Kos nutroot bloggers making up rumors about Sarah Palin’s “faked pregnancy,” and John McCain “checking out Gov. Palin’s backside” during her announcement speech. {he was looking at her speech while she was giving it} Sexist comments about Palin’s looks, hair, and intelligence, referring to her as “Dan Qualye on steroids.” And, now, the “scandal” about Bristol being pregnant. Well, the demon-craps need to look in the mirror…aren’t they the ones who brought the “sexual revolution” to our society? Aren’t the libs the ones who tout freedom of sexual expression in whatever form, sex education for very young children, and promote various forms of birth control in the schools? Aren’t they the “morning-after pill” and “abortion rights” lovers? So, why the misogynistic comments about a teenage girl who gets pregnant, decides to keep her baby, and states an intention to legitimize the birth by marrying the father? Just more hypocrisy from the “tolerant” liberal/socialist/anti-Christian/anti-family/unhinged fools on the left.

My husband just informed me that CNN has a “panel” on discussing Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. I think there should be a “panel” discussion of Obama’s hate-preaching pastor of 20 years, another panel discussion of Obama’s ties to terrorist Bill Ayers, another panel discussion of Obama’s ties to crony-crook, Tony Rezko, another panel discussion about Obama’s Commie friend “Frank.” And, that’s just for starters…

Darthmeister: Alan Colmes is a bit hot under the collar because he posted a totally irrelevant, stupid and catty piece on his blog and then, when people were offended, tried to say that he meant nothing and was just pointing out a problem in Palin’s judgement regarding her own pregnancy. I love how these “armchair experts” know so much about everything. The dumbest part is, though, that though he maligns conservatives for “misrepresenting” his comments, it is the liberal left who took them and ran with them. I’m hardpressed to figure out why he even made the comments in the first place.

BO lacked the guts to think outside the box when it came to his choice of Vice-Peep.

It’s a character issue. Character is determined by examination of actions, not words.

Even as a lackluster fan of his, I must commend McCain for having the character to seek out and choose someone with character.

  • 31 conserve-a-tip // Sep 1, 2008 at 11:19 pm

I wonder if the leftists realize what they are doing to their own candidate? From this article:

On Feb. 2, 1961, several months after they met, Obama’s parents got married in Maui, according to divorce records. It was a Thursday. At that point, Ann was three months pregnant with Barack Obama II. Friends did not learn of the wedding until afterward. “Nobody was invited,” says Abercrombie. The motivations behind the marriage remain a mystery, even to Obama. “I never probed my mother about the details. Did they decide to get married because she was already pregnant? Or did he propose to her in the traditional, formal way?” Obama wonders. “I suppose, had she not passed away, I would have asked more.”

Obama is certainly competent to comment on the difficulties which face a single mother, having been raised by one himself. We, like he, can express regrets for the human weakness which has put so many in this position; he, like we, should be ashamed of a society which condones it. But at least it appears that, unlike Obama, Bristol’s child will grow up with two parents. Oh, and a superlative Grandmother.

Hoo-ray for Biden!! From Newsmax today:

“On Monday Israel’s Army Radio reported details of the comments Biden made when he met with “senior Israeli officials behind closed doors.”

Reportedly Biden told the officials he opposed “opening a additional military and diplomatic front” against Iran.

“Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran,” Army Radio quoted Biden as telling the Israelis.

Army Radio said that at that time Israeli officials were shocked by Biden’s comments.”

Biden is to be congratulated for singlehandedly giving McCain what may be the entire American Jewish vote!!

For his next trick perhps he can address American women and tell them that they should reconcile themselves to going back to their proper womanly function of remaining “barefoot and pregnant” in the kitchen. They should quit their jobs and open vacancies for men, thereby reducing the unemployment figure.

That would give McCain virtually 100% of the female vote and be equally acceptable to telling Jews “You have to accept Iran becoming a nuclear power”.

    GO BIDEN GO!!!

The NBC White House correspondent Steven Gregory summed it up on “Meet the Press” last Sunday. He said in a matter of fact manner that the Obama camp does not intend to go after Governor Palin. They intend to let the media do it for them.

The fact that he can say that with a strait face and get no form of rebuttal from the rest of assembled “journalists” shows that they are in full agreement with the tactic. Obama is following the time tested tradition of the left. They let the surrogates to the dirty work so they can look dignified at the top of the ticket. Hillary is doing the same thing to Obama and he knows it.

Acts 12:21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
Acts 12:22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
Acts 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Rom. 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
