Rev. Wright Apologizes to Rich, White 'Jesus Killers'

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 93 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2008-03-21) — The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, today attempted to quell the furor over his racially-charged preaching by apologizing to “rich, white people”, whom he had blamed for killing Jesus, and noting that “if Jesus was a poor, black man, then so was his betrayer, Judas Iscariot, as well as the poor, black Jewish mob that called on the rich, white Roman governor to have Jesus crucified.”

“Like my spiritual nephew, Barack Obama, I’m all about getting past racism and division,” said the Rev. Wright at a Good Friday church service in Chicago. “I used to preach smack on the rich, white Jesus killers, but this week I realized that his followers were from the same ethnic group he was. So were his enemies in the mob at Jerusalem shouting ‘Crucify him!’”

“If there’s anything that can bring blacks and whites together at Easter,” said Rev. Wright, “perhaps it’s waking up to the fact that we all done crucified Jesus, and we did it without regard to the color of his skin or the size of his bank account.”

The retired preacher also expressed regret for calling on God to “damn America”, adding that, “God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

“In other words,” he added. “We don’t need to call on God to damn us. Our actions, thoughts and words have done an excellent job of that already. When we sing ‘God Bless America’, we ain’t bragging. We’re praying. And the good news at Easter is that God the Father sent Jesus the Son to save people without regard to money or color…Yes, perhaps even to save some racist preachers.”

Well done Scott, the best news I know is that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Even for the hateful Muslims and guys like Usama.

For grace that is truly amazing check inside a nearby bible for more on the love of God through Jesus Christ.

What is truly hilarious (if you’re not a Democrat) is that the Clinton people are now doing the only thing that has a prayer of working: sowing doubt among the superdelegates about Obama’s electability, given his reverend problems.

If McCain even thought about raising Wright in the general, he’d be horsewhipped by the Media.
Clinton’s doing it now and, hey, she’s a tough cookie. No harm, no foul.

You are doing the Lord’s work, HRC, by keeping the issue alive even though the odds are verrrrry long it’ll do you any good. McCain ought to send her a dozen roses.

Final point: I’m friends with a 60 year old white guy who used to be moderate-conservative and has tilted pretty far left in recent years on the social-economic issues. He is anti-Iraq, too, but he is pro WOT. Last time I saw him, before the Wright thing broke big, he was in love with Obama. I’m seeing him tomorrow, and I’m curious about whether the preacher stuff has given him pause about the sleek one. That’ll give me an insight on the effectiveness of Obama’s “God won’t damn Jeremiah and nether will I” speech.

It’s almost comical that so many people are “appalled” that race has become an issue in this election.

I say “almost” because it has been pounded relentlessly into our ears with a non-stop rat-a-tat-tat at a billion decibels and into our eyes with blinking, red, 1000-point type that BO is a Negro (although I still contend that he is a Caucasian—I’ll bet he thinks that’s an insult, but I digress). It’s a miracle that we’re not all running around pulling our hair out, weeping, wailing, gnashing teeth and muttering the word “black” incessantly.

It had to come to this and it is for this reason that I propose an all-out ban on demographics.

A heads up from “Urban Legends” caused me to dogpile ” “Day of Silence” protest scheduled for 25 April 2008.”
This was the first I’ve seen or read about this, even when I read George Orwell’s books “Animal Farm” (1945) and “Nineteen Eighty Four” (1949) today, I can only cry within my soul and wish it was only as bad as he wrote.

At the time people read and laughed themselves silly at this stupid totally unrealistic piece of satire purporting to portray the Government some 39 years into the future. George understated, by a significant factor.

In 1949. A HillBilly, Inc. Presidency wasn’t just laughable, it was an impossibility. Thousands of High Schools across the nation having “A Day of Silence” to promote the homosexual lifestyle wasn’t even a laughable impossibility, it would have been view as the ramblings and babblings of a perverted madman.

This is the inheritance being left for today’s children and grandchildren to try and cope with successfully. The Bible tells us that God caused the Israelites to wander throughout the wilderness for forty years. I wonder how long this wilderness of sin, corruption and insanity will last? and will it end? It’s not impossible that these are the early days of the tribulation and Jesus is returning, real soon.

Just put on an orange sweat suit and go outside and stand by the trail. When he comes hippity hoppin’ down the bunny trail, pull out a 410 and let hom have it.

Note, using a 410 is easier than a 22. You just have to pick out the pellets.

Peter Cottontail over a charcoal rotisserie makes for a splendid Easter meal. After he is finished cooking you carefully drizzle chocolate sauce over him. The chocolate of course is contraband stolen from the stupid rabbit. We all know that his agenda is to make American kids fat and toothless, so stealing his chocolate for adult consumption is considered perfectly legal.

No, no, Scott, it was the Joooooooos! Oh, that’s right, though Semitic, Jews are “white”, too. I suppose the Reverend (sic) Wright also believes Jooooooos own all the banks and only steal from black bank accounts.

Does anyone else remember the Eddie Murphy/SNL skit where he impersonates a white person with all the pancake makeup and discovers to his amazement that when the last black rider gets off the bus all the other white people still riding start partying with cigarette girls circulating throughout the bus handing out free cigarettes and drinks? And in a store a black was in line in front of the white Murphy and paid for his item. When it came time for Murphy to pay, the clerk looked at him, leaned over and whispered conspiratorially, “He’s gone, you don’t have to pay, you’re white. Don’t forget your free newspaper.”

Another topic. It’s like we’ve been saying here at Scrappleface, global temperatures have plataued since 1999 and serious climatologists now have the evidence. Unfortunately the Global Warming charlatans often used outdated information or are highly selective in the various weather-related events they cite to “prove” their case - aided and abetted by the leftist global media of course. Once again brain-dead liberal lemmings (and gullible “moderates” who are such suckers for media propaganda) blindly jump onto another pseudo-scientific bandwagon because it appears to be the chic and sophisticated thing to do … in this case, Global Warming chic.

I wonder if the Goracle will be forced to give back his Nobel Prize when Global Warming is finally debunked beyond all reasonable doubt as being man-made?

I also wouldn’t be surprised that within our lifetimes we’ll see another “consensus science” biting the dust - random macro-evolution theory.

Hallelujah, Christ arose !! (Where’s Muhammed?) Oh the disappointment that the jihadists are going to have when Jesus brings us to the finality of his wriitten word!

  • 22 seriocomic22 // Mar 22, 2008 at 4:32 pm

Yep, people are starting to stand up against the globaloney intimidation.

I have a vague meory of the Murphy thing. God, he was funny. I see Chris Rock every now and then, and all he does is spew filth. That’s where standup is now, I guess.

Speaking of standup, posting stuff that you mean to be humorous is a little like doing standup-only blindfolded and with your ears blocked. You know there are people out there as you do your bit, and that’s all you know. Hmmm, maybe that’s a good thing.

Off topic, if there is such a thing here:

Future NBC Nightly News broadcast, opening moments:

Brian Williams: “Well, it’s finally happened. The American death toll in Iraq has reached 4,000. In our expanded broadcast tonight, we’ll have in-depth reports on how we got into the war in the first place, how many Iraqis have died, the toll the war is taking on families back home, the plight of wounded soldiers trying to piece their lives back together, the massive cost of the war, why Afghanistan has not gone so well because of the President’s focus on Iraq, the unpopularity of the war and how that portends for Republicans, and other war-related matters.

In other news, a massive earthquake has hit the west coast and California has fallen off into the Pacific, scientists report they have found a cure for cancer, and Jesus Christ appeared during a joint session of Congress, took the podium, and answered questions.

Now let’s go to our top story: 4000 dead in Iraq.”

  • 23 mindknumbed kid // Mar 22, 2008 at 4:47 pm

The Global Warming extremists are willing to believe that there is major trouble on the horizon. But they will never believe that the Creator is totally in control of the future of the planet. Back in the days of Noah, he warned and warned them about “the end of the world” but they paid him no mind. So it is as if man without fear and knowledge of God, is capable of believing anything, except the truth.

    2 Thess 2:8-12

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Unbelief - It seems to be everywhere we look these days.I’m thinking that maybe God is not OK with it.

  • 24 mindknumbed kid // Mar 22, 2008 at 4:58 pm

I could just imagine Jesus appearing before Congress answering questions…..every response would probably begin with, “it is in the book, haven’t you read my book?” The libs would be saying, “tell us who you are again,” and, “what book are you referring to”, or “could you come back later, we are approaching another milestone in Iraq and we need to focus on that right now.”

As for me, well I am going to a buffet at a restaurant owned by the strange Rev. Ernest Angely. I don’t know if he is on your television, but he is a rather odd little fellow with no neck who hits people on the head in the name of gawd (not to be confused with God).

It was once owned by another strange sort of man named Rex Humbard who also had a way with money and minor corruptions in NE Ohio.

As odd as these men were/are, they tell me it is a good place to eat on Easter, though a few years ago the dishwasher raped and killed a 16 year-old waitress.

My, my, WWJD with that place. Well, good intentions as they are, I shall dine scrumptiously at the $12.95 Easter buffet*

Recently saw a cartoon that I took as being 1. Anti-Iraqi War and 2. Anti-Bush, so I forwarded my reply to his “comments link” the question posed was “Are you better off today than you were 5 years ago?”

    My reply to the cartoonist

Seeing a how I haven’t been killed, yet I’m in very, very good shape. I’m thanking God for giving America President George W. Bush for these trying times. A lesser man would have cowered and given into the imitation Americans who are as sounding brass demanding that the real man cave in with the cut and run cowardice of the white flag of surrender. Without The Patriot Act we might be looking back on 9/11/01 as naught but a practice run.

What amazes me is how cheap it’s been, in spite of the graft and corruption with which we’ve had to deal, and more astonishing is how few of our military lives have been lost. Truly a miracle! Only about 4,000 in five years! - Now if it was like WWII when several times that number died in one afternoon, that would be horrible! Still and all freedom isn’t free. The price is simple; “Whatever it takes” Millions of lives dozens of millions of lives, Trillions upon trillions of dollars, the price isn’t a factor. Freedom is the only governing factor.

There are those among us, unfortunately who are committed to working toward an America that closely replicates the Soviet Union of the mid 20th century.

We have over 300 million people in the United States as of 2006 and the very last one should be willing to go down with guns firing like the sailors aboard the Arizona as it was going under on Dec. 6th 1941. No price is too great for Americans, (except for girlymen of course).

Ms.RightWing, Ink - I ain’t heard anyone mention Rex Humbard or even Ernest Angley in years, what an odd couple of TV evangelists they are/were. What ever happened to Rex anyway? He still around? My friend and I used to watch some nut case on a distant UHF channel in the middle of the night, I wish I could remember his name, he was from the Akron or Canton area I think. First name may or may not have been Gene, he would talk a little, cuss a little and then tell his group of singers to sing “Something Good is About to Happen”. It was the very early 80’s, must’ve been early Saturday or Sunday mornings, 2AM-ish. (No, not Amish) The guy was a real hoot, the weather had to be just right to get that station in way down in God’s country. (St. Marys,WV) Well, I was from Hebron, takes a good map to find it though. On over in Tyler County was a little place called Meadville where Cleveland “Bill” Hayes ran a general store where we could get Frosty root beer in a glass bottle, we called the store the Meadville Mall. Great place, probably never see a store like it again. Down the road the other direction in Ritchie County, was the “town” of Pike (listed as my mother’s place of birth) where Paul Goodwin ran a general store, after I graduated in ‘79 I went in and bought my first pair of cowboy boots, wore them for many years, I think it was about 1993 or 94 when I got my second pair (the ones I still wear today) and retired them, they were still in fair shape considering I do not believe in shoe polish. That story me of the time I met Vice President Bush, I was in the USAF stationed at Ellsworth AFB, I have an 8X10 of the event wearing my “black and clean” boots, mine were the only ones that were not black and shiny! Fred- I tried to argue the case for an abortion ban in South Dakota with some professed Christians, one of which told me that I was not too smart thinking that my bible was the Word of God. It is just a piece of good literature, I was told. I asked the person what ws the basis for them believing to be a christian, and sure enough, they were “good” and went to church and believed in God. Sad to be religious and yet know so little about God and truth. One thing I do believe to be impossible is to debate an issue with such a person, no matter what scripture you inject, it is only a story that means nothing in their eyes. I was very troubled in my spirit for weeks afterwards, I feel as though I should have been able to at least make one worthwhile point, but nothing I said had the slightest effect. Still bugs me!

mkk #36 - There are large numbers of Anti-Calvinist who refuse to accept the plain teachings of The Bible. The man who, after Martin Luther’s death, picked up the reins of floundering Protestant beliefs and rescued it from regressing back into Catholicism.

MANY PERSONS HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT CALVINISM IS UNBIBLICAL?Calvinist say:

God desires salvation only for the elect.

Christ died only for the elect.

God provides grace only to the elect.

The New Testament is written only to believers. The word ?all? is referring to all true believers who are the elect. Romans 8 tells us that the elect will not be charged with any sin on Judgment Day and that Christ died to make intercession (save us from Hell) for us.
Rom. 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom. 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God?s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Rom. 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Peter 1 tells us that the elect will be considered sanctified (sin free on Judgment Day) because of the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus. He leaves the rest of human sinners to pay the price for their life of sin. Verse 3 tells us that He ??hath begotten us with a lively hope? as a result of the price He paid.
1Pet. 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
1Pet. 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
1Pet. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pet. 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

The New Testament believers are told that they are the ?elect of God?. If God told me I am ?elect? then I would not doubt that I am destined for heaven?I would take His word for it.
    Col. 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Col. 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

To hold that the elect can lose their salvation is to reject these teachings of the Bible. It is only logical that God would not offer grace to someone that He has allowed to go to Hell. The theological dictionary meaning of ?elect? is: those chosen by God for salvation and eternal life. Election means: election of believers. If God intends to save some?why would he want to give people a chance to screw up his previous decision?

God desires salvation only for the elect.

    Denied by 1 Tim 2:4
    1Tim. 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Tim. 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
    1Tim. 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
I admit that this like He might want all men to be saved. I think this is not an all-inclusive ?all? but rather He is referring to the New Testament believers.

    Denied by 2 Peter 3:9
2Pet. 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
His promise is to the elect not every person in the world. We know that some are going to hell.

    Denied by Matt 23:37
Matt. 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
The Jews that killed the prophets were not Gods elect. They were never drawn to be attracted to God. They were not chosen by the Heavenly Father and given to Jesus to save. Naturally, ?they would not? accept this Jesus. No unbelieving Jew will end up in heaven.

Christ Died only for the elect.
    Denied by John 3: 16-17

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
The question is: Who will believe? The human race is under condemnation due to Adam and Eve?s original sin. We are all ugly sinners. Even the elect carry this curse until death. Jesus was not sent into the world to condemn it. He was on a mission to save the elect by dieing on the cross. Some people are condemned already. We cannot remove out ugly spots by ourselves. That is why Jesus is the only one who can do this.

Rom. 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Rom. 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Rom. 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Rom. 3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Rom. 3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

    HE IS RISEN!

Woe to those who freely refuse the infinite mercies of God so plainly displayed on the Cross of Christ nearly 2000 years ago. Only the will of rebellious man can turn an incredible divine gift and blessing into an everlasting regret of missed opportunity. This life isn’t all there is. “The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the Word of Almighty God reigns forever.”

No man, no movement, no church, no mosque, no synagaogue, no worldly philosophy can save the soul of man. Look to Jesus on the Cross, therein lies the only means of everlasting redemption and peace.

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father but through me.” Jesus of Nazareth, King of Kings, Risen Savior

Jesus was either deceived, a liar, an insane meglomaniacal lunatic … or He was telling the truth. Jesus’ own documented life and His willingness to climb on that Cross when He could have called ten thousand angels testifies to the character and veracity of his statements. No greater spiritual authority ever lived.

    O sacred Head, now wounded,
with grief and shame weighed down,
now scornfully surrounded with thorns, thine only crown:
how pale thou art with anguish, with sore abuse and scorn!
How does that visage languish which once was bright as morn!

    What thou, my Lord, has suffered was all for sinners’ gain;
mine, mine was the transgression, but thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Savior!
    ‘Tis I deserve thy place;
look on me with thy favor, vouchsafe to me thy grace.

What language shall I borrow to thank thee, dearest friend,
for this thy dying sorrow, thy pity without end?
O make me thine forever; and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never outlive my love for thee.

I’ve been reflecting the past week or so about the kerfuffle with Obama and his preacher. What I find interesting is not so much what the preacher said or Obama’s explanation of it, but rather the media’s reaction to Obama’s speech, most notably reactions like that of the swooning Chris Matthews.

I’m reminded of Act 12: 21-23 where King Herod gave a speech, the people shouted, “It’s the voice of a god and not a man” and Herod was killed by God because he didn’t give God the glory. I’m not suggesting anything, I just find it interesting. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for all politicians to remember it if just as a cautionary tale.

We drove all the way up north to meet my friends parents at the Cathedral Buffet. They were already in line when we arrived so we made our way up to where they were standing only to be told by the wonderful folks we could not stand with them and we had to go to the back (an hours wait) so I wished the staff a Happy Easter, hit them on the forehead and left them lying there.

We then drove west another 20 miles or so to the TSA Truckstop and had a great buffet for $10, with no line.

Hawkeye #62 - I know that over the years I have prayed many and widely different prayers. Always ending with “Thy will be done.”

Sometimes God answered a prayer “yes”. Other times “no” and I found it real easy to praise His name when I got a “yes”. Not so easy when it was “no”.

I’m wondering how quick I will be to praise His Holy name and give thanks that His will was done if Barack Hussein Obama is elected President this November?

I am aware that God put some very horrible, abominable men on the throne of Israel and they wreaked havoc during their reign.

I found it difficult to enthusiastically sing praises to His name when He put Bill Clinton in the Oval office, but I did it because the Bible tells me that He puts the authority where He wants.

In the interim I pray for forgiveness, confessing my sins (1st Jn. 1:9) since Isa. chapter 1 says that God cannot hear prayers that are walled off by sin.

Four hundred years in Egyptian slavery, followed by forty more years of wilderness wanderings in and throughout Saudi Arabia. God’s ways are not my ways and visa versa.

    Fred #65,
I’m wondering how quick I will be to praise His Holy name and give thanks that His will was done if Barack Hussein Obama is elected President this November?

Your comment raises a question, and I have been grappling lately with that very question. We are faced on the one hand with the following verse…

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.”
    -Romans 13:1-2

Yet, as you so correctly point out…

I am aware that God put some very horrible, abominable men on the throne of Israel and they wreaked havoc during their reign.

So, the question naturally becomes: “Why does God sometimes put horrible people in charge?”

A few things to consider in any such discussion: 1) Sometimes WE elect the horrible person, so we cannot blame God for OUR mistakes, 2) God has a “permissive will” which is different from His “absolute will” (ie, He allows us to make our own decisions even though they might not agree with His “absolute will”), 3) God can use anybody to get things done that He wants to get done, even sinners like me… and yes, even the Devil does God’s bidding (think of the story of Job), 4) God’s ways are higher than our ways, so we can’t always understand why things happen the way they do, or what it is that God is trying to accomplish, 5) God wants ALL leaders to do HIS perfect will to the best of their ability, but some leaders choose to reject God and His ways (to their detriment), or they have a different understanding of God’s will than we do, and 6) sometimes we have to learn from our mistakes, whether as an individual, a leader, or a nation.

    Best regards…

  • 72 Hawkeye // Mar 24, 2008 at 12:27 pm

Easter greetings, all. He has risen! Our church choir would have made Handel proud yesterday. Our pastor - despite what Obama thinks - didn’t saying anything disagreeable or negative, in fact quite the opposite. The entire service was inspirational, uplifting and filled with the promises of God’s love. It was another joyous Easter Sunday.

That being said, today I discovered the reprehensibility that the Dems are stooping to now. They will truly stop at nothing. Carville calls Richardson Judas. Obama’s new pastor compares criticism of Wright to a lynching, and compares that to the cross. These people dare to equate themselves with Christ?

I’m thinkin’ that if the bible is true, then there will be coming days that just won’t be going as well as they are now. I think we all expect things to just be hunky-doory all the days of our lives, we live in the United States of America, the greatest nation on earth, a country blessed of God Almighty. Hawkeye has it right, man’s “wisdom” will just foul things up, we have leaders that think they know a lot, but they have alienated themselves from God, who happens to be the true source of wisdom. Whenever you hear some intellectual high-minded politician talking about separating church and state, they really mean we don’t like anyone mentioning God, let alone deferring any power or knowledge to an antiquated system of belief. The only time they are willing to talk about God is when they are begging for votes.God was pleased when Israel was “set apart’ from the other nations, but they got a wild hair and demanded a King, so as to be like the other nations. Now we have all of this talk of globalism, we have the courts citing laws from other countries, you hear the liberals making the case for us to be like other countries, nationalized healthcare, more paid time off from work, they just keep on calling for us to change, be like everyone else.God did allow Israel to have some mighty bad Kings, but not when they were living in obedience to him. How do we as Americans fare by God’s standards? Do we deserve a leader that will lead us back to greatness? What percentage of Americans are willing to admit that our greatness as a nation is directly related to hooring and obeying him?I say not even 10%, America doesn’t need or want God, that is why we are going to be brought down. I think we as Christians are expecting God to take us out of here before he executes any kind of judgment. Maybe even that idea is born of arrogance, or maybe just of hope and faith.

Psa. 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Prov. 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

So if the Bible is nothing more than a collection of religious fairy tales these verses are just more of the same, but if, in fact, the Bible is the word of God then these two verses are proof that at a minimum the Democrat side of the equation is utterly devoid of wisdom.

They may fear the Republicans; they may fear the Conservatives; they may fear Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter; but by golly gee-whiz they sure as shooting have no fear of The Lord, seeing as how they stand united, diametrically opposed to every thing that the Lord approves, promotes and advocates.

They also stand abreast, solidly united in promoting the lifestyles He deems abhorrent. because with no fear of The Lord, they are marked as being utterly devoid of wisdom and understanding.

Wisdom and understanding are talents on loan from God and of a certainty, basic to the position of President of these United States.

Thusly they stand inherently disqualified for the position they so anxiously seek.

Yesterday I met a woman that was in a Polish Concentration camp. She showed us her numbers. I have never met anyone that was actually there.
She described all six years, from being yanked off the streets in her home town to working in the bullet factory. She was the only survivor in her family.
I promised that we wouldn’t forget or let others erase it from our history. I am awed.

Ongoing Government Sponsored Poverty Program here (GSPP). I do not qualify for the $300 because I am still on SSI, which will not be part of improving the local economy.

Though I worked from the time I was 15 and earned huge bucks in my 40’s I do not qualify because the years proceeding my disability I did not pay into the system.

Many folks on SSI never worked a day in their life and the idjets figured out some way to suck the government dry. Therefore I get thrown into the poverty pigpen once again.

Folks when you are out there making a difference in your national economy, I will continue shopping at Chinese Mart, er K-Mart.

    Great thinking Washington.

Now stand up, smile and thank God for having a place to live and have a full stomach. Jeesh, we can cop an attitude can we not.

The Hill & Bill Show continue to amuse (with a vengeance) vast Intergalactic Audiences with their quaint, pseudo-comedic, mantra-like schtick known as “I Am Not A [Self-Aggrandizing] Liar”.

I believe it was the sage philosopher Daffy Duck who said:

    “It is to laugh.”

And (for any doubters out there), yes, of course, there’s a Daffy Duck Sounds web site.
