(2007-12-16) — In the same month that presidential candidate Mitt Romney delivered his groundbreaking speech on faith in America, and just days after rival Mike Huckabee apologized for suggesting Mormons believe Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers, al Qaeda lieutenant Ayman al-Zawahiri’s new video is another example of religious rhetoric from a public figure.

“I like the fact that his name is Barack Hussein Obama, and that his father was a Muslim and that his paternal grandmother is a Muslim,”
“There’s a billion people on the planet that are Muslims, and I think that experience is a big deal.”

Personally, I’m still irked by Huckabee’s recant of the “horrible” “question” -my feeble blood pressure goes up and you can hear my heart [Bible]thump from across the room.
And what keeps me irked is the further mass avoidance of THE Pivotal Issue:
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”~~John 3:5-8
Just Read On From There for further details.
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!
God Bless You!

Scott, you never stop ministering to my heart. Though it was satire in image, it was great in word.
Was that you singing? Nah, but we can always pretend

Y’know, that closing graphic really inspires:
~~~~~~~“Scott Ott, President”~~~~~~~
has a nice ring to it.
And I seem to recall from my vanished youth that this is the holiday of the prince of peace, not the queen of diamonds.
Gee Scott, after meeting you I didn’t think you were a baritone-really cool, that the voice and background was you and the Mrs.
[Editor's Note: Scott Ott is the Jim Neighbors of satire-writing singers. Surprise!]
Nabors. That’s only vocally, one hopes.
(OK, I know it…)
[Editor's Note: Actually, Scott Ott doesn't sing well enough to be compared with Jim Nabors, so the comparison was with the guy next door who sings while mowing his lawn.]
Well, according to Jesus…we’re all neighbors.
(But you knew that…)
