Pelosi Slams Muslim Ideology Behind Bhutto Blast

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 59 Comments

(2007-10-19) — As the death toll climbed past 130, with nearly 400 injured, in a suicide-bomb assassination attempt on former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi condemned the attack as “symptomatic of fundamentalist Islam’s crusade against equality for women.”

Rep. Pelosi, D-CA, said the fact that a prominent female politician was targeted has shaken her thinking about the war on terror.

“This misogynistic massacre has finally got it through my thick skull what President Bush has been trying to tell us for years,” she said. “These terrorists have no legitimate political grievance, no conscience, and no place in civilized society. We must crush them wherever they are to prevent the spread of their poisonous ideology and brutal tactics.”

Rep. Pelosi said that when news of the attack broke, she held a conference call with Senators Hillary Clinton, D-NY, and Barbara Boxer, D-CA. The three women agreed that “if these evil men are willing to attack a beautiful, charismatic female politician overseas, there’s not much to stop them from trying it on U.S. soil.”

The three lawmakers plan to introduce legislation next week to increase funding for the surge in Iraq, to finish the fence along the U.S.-Mexico border, and to remove barriers to eavesdropping by U.S. spies on suspected terrorist communications at home and abroad.

“These woman-haters need to know that we mean business,” Rep. Pelosi said. “And to those who commit these atrocities against women, I say, we will no longer tolerate, we will no longer negotiate, and we will no longer be afraid. It’s your turn to be afraid.

Pelosi and her ilk couldn’t care less about the plight of women in places like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. The dhimmicrats “anti-war” agenda is much more important to their political power-grab schemes than coming out against the mistreatment and/or untimely deaths of females in Islamofascist cultures. After all the blather from the 41 Democrat twits - who signed Harry Reid’s “Declaration of Incompetence” condemning Rush Limbaugh for being “unpatriotic” for calling frauds like Jessie MacBeth “phony soldiers” - the tables have been turned. These millionaire Democrats have been challenged by Mr. Limbaugh to match the 2.1 million dollar bid that won the Senate’s unprecedented smear letter sworn out against a private citizen. So, will these 41 Democrats prove their own patriotism in “supporting the troops” by giving to the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation which gives scholarships to children of Marines and federal officers who die in the line of duty?

I’d say there is little to no chance than any of these posturing hypocrite millionaires will give much more than the average, hard-working American that they can’t wait to tax into oblivion.

Limbaugh issued a public challenge to all of the senators involved to join him in matching the winning bid. “I would like to issue this challenge to Senator Reid and the 41 senators who signed his letter. You say you support the military. You say you’re big, and you think it’s patriotic, and that I was unpatriotic. Well, I would like for each of you, Senator Reid, and the 40 senators who signed, to match whatever the winning bid is. Show us your support for the U.S. military by all 41 of you pro-military people, Democrats in the Senate, match whatever the winning bid is and send that amount to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation,” he said.

I called all 41 senators involved, and I spoke to press secretaries or left messages with 33 Senate offices (I tried repeatedly, and you’d be surprised at how many busy signals you get trying to get ahold of senators.) I told dozens of press secretaries all about the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation and Rush’s challenge. I got only two responses, and of those, only Senator Ken Salazar of Colorado proved himself above the recent pettiness. He issued a terse statement: “The Senator supports their [the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation] work and is pleased to hear that Rush does as well.”

Just like a liberal DimDonk. Nothing but words. Now if the Donks can turn something like this into a government program and then reach into our backpockets … they’d be all over it as another example of their compassion. Such utter hypocrisy. But what do you expect from a bunch of liberal liars too busy lining their own pockets and expanding their despotic power while unconstitutionally censuring private citizens. And let’s not forget Grand Inquistor Waxman who is still conducting his kangaroo court of personal destruction in the House.

    From PowerLineblog:

A Harris poll shows that positive sentiment about the war in Iraq is growing slowly but steadily. The number of Americans who believe things are getting better for U.S. troops has risen from 13 percent in March and 20 percent in August to 25 percent now. The percentage of those who say things are getting worse for our troops has declined from 51 percent in March to 32 percent now.

This represents progress, of course, but what strikes me is that more people (32 percent to 25 percent) still believe that things are getting worse for our troops than believe they are getting better. The public holds this view even though all of the evidence is to the contrary. For example, as the Washington Times notes, attacks on U.S. troops have dropped from 256 in August to 153 in September, to 36 so far this month. The number of troops killed is also down more than 60 percent from May, the month before the “surge in numbers” reached full strength and the “surge of operations” began against al Qaeda cells.

Since not being attacked is a good thing and not being killed is even better, there is no rational basis for believing that things are getting worse for our troops. The fact that more people nonetheless believe this than believe that things are getting better is a tribute to the drumbeat offered up by Democrats and MSM members who have a vested interest in perpetuating pessimism, the facts be damned.

All of which goes to prove, liberals, particularly Bush-haters, rarely allow themselves to be bothered by inconvenient things like “facts”. Once again the Harris poll demonstrated my theory that the only thing polls really measure is how much the American people have been propagandized by the lamestream media.

If Americans (or any people) are fed a steady diet of liberal media lies with little else to counteract said propaganda, then what else will the American people believe? That’s what polls do, measure the extent to which the people have been propagandized.

So, the war is going bad in Iraq according to brain-dead libtards? That perception is only true if one is heavily vested in the echo chambers of the left-wing global media, and all all real evidence to the contrary be damned. Little question, then, the vast majority of liberals are little more than media tools - and then these liberals exacerbate the problem by drinking deeply the kool-aid at left-wing propaganda sites like MediaMatters, DailyKos, demoncrapunderground.com, etc.

  • 37 Darthmeister // Oct 20, 2007 at 8:20 am

    mig,

We’ve had the local leaders (avowed lesbians) of the Green Meadow Girl Scouts deny the Boy Scouts access to some of their facilities because of their stand in not allowing homosexual men to be Boy Scout leaders (talk about a fox in the hen house … it would be the Catholic Church pederastism debacle all over again.)

This, and the repugnant and despicable actions of Harry Reid and Senate Democrats in trying to censure a private citizen, demonstrates the kind of @$$hat arrogance that lurks within the hearts of liberals. Liberals may whine about fascism under a Bush Administration but the fact remains the Waco/Branch Davidian purge happened under a liberal Democrat administration.

Liberal/Socialist/Secular Democrats have demonstrated over and over again the very despotic traits which defined left-wing Nazism and Communism - when they monopolize power they become the most egregious tyrants. Keep in mind the Democratic Party is far more left-wing and radical than it was just twenty years ago. Just look at Representative Henry Waxman (D-Moon) and his ongoing kangaroo court inquisitions against conservatives and Republicans.

I smell revolution in the air, particularly if the Democrats are able to wrest control of the White House on the basis of their patented lies, aided and abetted by their fifth columnist accomplices in the liberal media.

Under a Jezebel-Hillary regime (if America is stupid enough to elect this shrill, pontificating empty-suit) I’m convinced the American people will witness again first hand how unfettered liberalism represents far more threat to our life, limbs, liberty and pocketbook than what the “fascist state under President Bush” has to date. When it comes to subjugating a population through heavy-handed government, conservatives are always pikers compared to liberal/left-wingers.

Keep in mind, liberals will be part of the masses who worship the anti-Christ when he reveals himself to the world.

“Iran to fire ‘11,000 rockets in minute’ if attacked”

Just how stupid is stupid? These idiots are so dumb that there aren’t words in the English language to express it! They haven’t figured out that a flight of B-2 “Stealth” Bombers will have dropped their bombs, eradicated their nuclear program, all of their 11,000 rockets and be on their way back to Missouri BEFORE they are even aware they have been attacked. Poof!!! goes their 11,000 rockets while still on the launch pads. “spread throughout the country” ha-ha Satellite photos can pinpoint each of the 11,000 and five B-2’s each dropping 200 bombs each with 11 targeted sites from their multiple warheads———-perhaps each plane could drop 400, giving each site a double whammy (just to be sure). Shhhhhhhhush - I’m not going to tell them.

“Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he doesn’t wear an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for “true patriotism” since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.”

It is believed by some that true Americans must wear United States Flag lapel pin, these also believe that true Christians wear little cross lapel pins, others believe you most have, your car decked out with “We Support The Troops”, and “Got Jesus”, or When The Rapture Occurs There Will Be No Driver In This Car” bumper stickers.

Maybe it is not what you say, but rather what you do.

How can one swear an oath, with your hand on the Holy Bible, to preserve, protect and defend the United States Constitution, then say of it, “Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”?

I think this report is accurate; it is consistent with other similar reports on other subjects.

The president seems to believe he has extraordinary powers. His power is derived from our citizens, at the expense of our freedom.

Much of the abuse of constitutional powers by this administration is readily observable.

You may believe it is justified, I do not.
