Rudy Vows to Make U.S. Safe for Democrat Policies

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 30 Comments

(2007-05-13) — Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani this week launched a new phase in his campaign, speaking out boldly for abortion rights, gun control and gay rights, while maintaining that he’s the best candidate to protect U.S. citizens from terrorists.

Proclaiming himself a “tough man for a tough job,” Mr. Giuliani said, “I’m the only Republican candidate with the guts and the know-how to make America safe for progressive social policies.”

In what’s sure to become a popular passage in his regular stump speech, the former New York City mayor adopted a Hillary-esque accent and cadence, telling an audience at Houston Baptist College, “When the Republican party nominates me, we’ll be making a statement, my conservative friends. We’ll be saying, we’re not afraid of terrorists anymore. We’re not afraid of restricting the rights of Americans to keep and bear arms anymore. We’re not afraid to give tax money to women to abort their unwanted fetuses anymore. And we’re not afraid to give gays all the legal rights of marriage anymore.”

Mr. Giulini added that by the end of his eight years in the White House, “All the traditional Republican bogeymen will be slain and we’ll have nothing left to fear but fear itself.”

    Yeah, no doubt…

    God Bless America

“America’s Mayor” has a proven ability to ride in parades, cut ribbons and make comforting post-disaster speeches. Those qualities might not suffice for the Presidency, but when America needs a Prom King, Rudy’s in the running.

  • 5 JamesonLewis3rd // May 13, 2007 at 7:15 am

Personally, I’d rather see someone promise to make America unsafe for “progressive social policies”.

    Rudy’s Brave New World.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

From Proverbs 31: A wife of noble character who can find. She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband is full of confidence in her and lacks nothing of value … She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows she has no fear for her household for all of them are clothed in scarlet. … She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongues. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husbnad also and he praises her: “Many women do noble things but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

My Mother is gone from this earth, but not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. (I love you and miss you Mama.)

Good morning! What a beautiful day! And Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers.

Guiliani is a big NO for me…I have no qualms in sharing that. He is the old style Republican ~ big on money/financial conservatism and liberal liberal on social issues.

Just The Facts ~ From the other thread. I think that you misunderstood the vein in which I was speaking. If Romney continues to display that he has an understanding for the conservative, Federalist values I hold dear, and I feel that I am being led to do so, I will vote for him. I disagree with your religion and I see the many inconsistencies, but that will not stop me from, voting for someone if I feel that person is who God has in mind for the job. If you took my cautions to you as a putdown, I apologize. But I can’t apologize for the simple plan that God put out there for all of us to grasp - a plan that is His and His alone inspite of all the trappings we humans try to include. I daresay that most Biblical Christians feel as I do and will pray, being careful to vote for the right person no matter who that may be, and God will have the glory one way or the other.

Moonbat diggbats give thumbs up to assassinating VP Dick Cheney. More love and compassion from radical liberals on Mother’s Day.

Ms RW: I’d like to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day! And Happy Mother’s Day also to c-a-t, and to MargeinMI, and Maggie, and all the other ladies who comment here at Scrappleface. I’ve been busy today attending the wedding of one of my cousins, and this is the first chance I’ve had to get on the Internet today, or I would have posted my best wishes earlier. Hope it was happy …

Mitt Romney rises to the top.

Think what you want, but it’s my opinion the Republican ticket will center around Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, and Rudy. Now we know the media is working overtime to try and dig up whatever dirt it can on Romney or any other Republican frontrunner, but so far about the best they’ll be able to come up with is maybe some parking tickets he hasn’t paid.

This is still way too far out, but my two cents is Romney is a lock on the VP slot and has a real shot at being the Republican presidential nominee. Thompson certainly has the potential to do the same. Hopefully when each is fully engaged in the campaign they will act like the principled gentlemen conservatives I believe them to be and not trash one another to the benefit of the Dhimmiecrats.

I believe the best Guiliani can hope for given his more liberal views that he seems to be presently reinforcing is maybe a VP slot. From a mass marketing point of view a Romney/Guiliani or a Thompson/Guiliani ticket could be a real winner with conservatives and swing voters. A Romney/Thompson or the reverse may be a harder sell but I still believe this ticket could beat the pantsuits off of Clinton/Obama.

I hope that all of you moms out there had a wonderful day. I was treated to a meal at one of those Japanese places where the grill is in the center of the table and the pleasant young man comes out and throws knives, meat forks and machetes around while you watch out of the corner of your eye in case the ACLU suddenly steps in to issue a ban on sharp instruments of death just to ruin your evening. The waitress brings you a lovely tray with slices of sushi roll wrapped around an eel or tuna or something with tentacles sticking out, just begging for a mercury content check and the assurance that no porpoises were involved. And then the nice young man tosses whole shrimp onto the grill and removes heads, legs and tails and shells so deftly that PETA would be too agast for words. With a cup of steamed rice, stolen from the masses in China, a thin broth soup worthy of an Oliver orphanage, a flaming/steaming onion volcano suitable for an Al Gore Global Warming heart attack, fresh veggies undoubtedly raised with chemical pesticides and a tall glass of good ol’ Okie water straight from the tap, I’d say that I had a truly conservative meal fit to chap any liberal environmentalist elite’s hide.

Oh yes, and btw Scott, why don’t you tell us how you really feel! :-)

Let’s see, two down and how many more to go? Oh please send us Ronald Reagan.

  • 20 mig // May 14, 2007 at 5:38 am

Did any one actually expect him to say anything different? And if he did, who would have believed him?

  • 21 Darthmeister // May 14, 2007 at 7:35 am

    c.a.t.,

Under the emerging PC left-wing environmentalist cabal, you’d probably get fifteen to twenty without possibility of parole for the dinner you just had. It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature, ya know!

  • 22 Darthmeister // May 14, 2007 at 8:21 am

From the milbogger Pat Dollard. Like he said, the lamestream media is way behind the curve on this development as it always tends to be with good news from Iraq:

al Qaeda running out of willing hosts in Anbar Province

  • 23 Darthmeister // May 14, 2007 at 9:10 am

al Qaeda and cut-and-run Democrats are on the same page:

Mohamad al-Janabi, an al-Qaeda member in the nearby city of Salman Pak, said in a interview that he was unable to contact his comrades in Mahmudiyah to determine whether they were responsible for the attack.

But he added: “I can assure you that we will start pressuring Bush in a new way at the same time he is facing pressures from the (American) Democrats… And there will be no problem to sacrifice 10 soldiers in order to abduct a single American soldier and get him on television screens begging for us to release him.”

  • 24 Laughing@You // May 14, 2007 at 10:41 am

By your definition it would be more correct to say “cut-and-run” Democrats, Republicans, Independents, the majority of the General Officers, and most of the troops; and the great majority of Americans; or even those who don’t want American blood on their hands without a just cause, or maybe those who remember the demon that you don’t see to care about Osama bin Laden!

Or you might say: Everybody who ain’t ChickenHawlish.

Or better yet:“THOSE WHO TRULY SUPPORT THE TROOPS”.

  • 25 Laughing@You // May 14, 2007 at 10:52 am

    Say warmonger:

Has a certain (likely non-existent) heterosexual honor student joined that group you are willing to sacrifice on George Bush’ alter left yet.

  • 26 Laughing@You // May 14, 2007 at 11:53 am

Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, and Rudy!

With a hand like that, the Dimocrochets may just throw it in.

Then again, maybe you should put a call into Fred, Mitt, and Rudy’s bothers and tell him to see if they can get their governors to put in place some loony Security of State who will do anything for anything. Tell her to call Diebold (they’ll know what to do).

Oh yeah, then be sure to make a call to the “Blind Lady” and tell the folks there you may need them to “take a peak”.

Then, and only then, you can have rule by “god’s choice” for America for four more years, or the death of the American Nation, whichever comes first.

  • 27 EXT // May 14, 2007 at 1:13 pm

Time for a new political party!

The Cut, Run, Appease Party. Or, “CRAP” for short.

The perfect home for most Democrats, unchurched liberals (those who accept Global Warming as their sole article of faith) and an assortment of “moderate” (former) Republicans.

  • 28 Darthmeister // May 14, 2007 at 2:28 pm

The Chicago School Board is being sued for $500,000 by parents of a twelve year old female student who was traumatized by being forced to watch Brokeback Mountain: The Rape of Malboro Man.

This is kind of like a twisted version of Clockwork Orange, but in this case innocents are forced by a fascist institution to watch a staged rape scene in the name of “art”. Well, if it had been some conservative organization forcing young impressionable students to watch highly controversial propaganda films, this would be how the lib media would report it.

  • 29 upnorthlurkin // May 14, 2007 at 3:48 pm

I like it, EXT….and they can start their days pledging allegience to their very own white flags (maybe adding a hammer and sickle for effect!)

Will Rudy be able to do anything about the price gouging at the gas pumps?
