WMD Report Calls for More Accurate Leaks

by Scott Ott · No Comments

(2005-03-31) — President George Bush’s commission on weapons of mass destruction today will release its major report recommending that intelligence agencies provide more accurate leaks to journalists in advance of releasing major reports.

“There’s no coordination among intelligence leakers and that leads to contradictions between unnamed sources,” said an unnamed panel member who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the panel’s report had not yet been released.

Since most members of Congress and international terrorists get their intelligence information from CNN and MSNBC, the panel will urge creation of a National Center for Unauthorized Information Dispersal.

“The key to a good major report release is to leak all the significant findings in the days leading up to the actual release,” said the source. “Inaccurate rogue leaks generate more news stories about the panel’s findings, distracting Americans from the important work of monitoring celebrity litigation.”
