(2002-10-10) — Saddam Hussein’s future widow has begun emailing thousands of people at random offering to transfer billions of dollars into their bank accounts.
The notes, written in broken English, claim that the future-late President of Iraq has the money parked in secret accounts, and the woman needs to get it out of the country.
“Dear Friend,” the email says, “I will (sic) like to solicit your help in a business preposition (sic), which is by nature very confidential and a Top Secret. I know that a transaction of this magnitude will make any one (sic) worried and apprehensive but I am assuring you not to worry, as all will be well at the end of this endeavor.”
The soon-to-be former wife of Saddam goes on to say she would like to transfer money to the recipient’s bank account, and offers a percentage to the recipient.
Dozens of people who have forwarded the email to the ScrappleFace News Bureau testify to its authenticity.
