(2004-10-25) — The Washington Post today announced that the news satire site ScrappleFace.com has won its “Best of the Blogs” contest in the “Class Clown” category.
Political insiders have already questioned the timing of the ScrappleFace endorsement, coming just eight days before the election. But an unnamed spokesman said The Post was “simply reflecting the will of the people.”
“ScrappleFace inspires both deep thought and the expulsion of beverages through the nostrils,” said the anonymous source. “For some of the same reasons, The Post has also endorsed Democrat John Forbes Kerry for president.
