Bush Debate Scowls Caused by Wiring Defect

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · No Comments

(2004-10-11) — An electrical short in a wire near his spine caused President George Bush to scowl in pain frequently during his first debate with Democrat contender John Forbes Kerry.

That’s the conclusion of a report called Internet Debate Investigation Of Tampering Scenarios, by an unnamed international non-profit ad hoc 527 committee.

The wiring, part of a system designed to provide real-time coaching to the president, periodically came in contact with Mr. Bush’s back or back hair, according the unnamed experts cited in the report.

The president may have suffered several small second-degree burns, and the pain distracted him from looking as presidential as Mr. Kerry, who won the debate and is also a U.S. Senator.

A spokesman for the Bush-Cheney campaign said the president is fully-recovered and the electrical problem was fixed before the second debate.
