(2002-09-26) — Zacarias Moussaoui, the so-called 20th hijacker, has picked up a little freelance work for the U.S. government. Moussaoui’s project is to edit classified FBI summaries of interviews.
“It’s not exciting work,” said the defendant, “but it keeps my mind off of the loss of 19 of the finest Muslims a guy ever knew.”
An FBI spokesman said, “Moussaoui does good work. He knows how to turn bulky field agent notes into crisp, scannable reports. We’re not worried about the classified stuff. He’s in jail. Who’s he going to tell anyway?”
