(2002-09-26) — Barbra Streisand, the noted attorney and military expert, announced today that Saddam Hussein “did not bomb the World Trade Center”.
Streisand said she reached this conclusion after noticing that those who commandeered the airliners died in the crashes, but that Saddam Hussein is still alive.
“As soon as I realized this,” said the former singer/actress/producer, “I faxed a memo to Dick Gebhardt (sic) because I knew that if he realized this, he would vigorously oppose Bush’s oil-war. We must save this innocent man…Mr. Hussein.”
A spokesman for Rep. Gephardt said, “The Congressman can’t come to the phone right now. He’s quite emotional about this. After all, he owns every album Barbra ever did. This is quite a thrill to receive foreign policy advice from one of his idols.”
