Headline: S. Koreans Perfect Mass Abortion of Cloned Dogs Riddle me this, boberin: Which came first? the chicken, or the egg? Now while you are working on this, remember how human reproduction works. Then in your "miscarriage" example, the lump of cells must have once been alive. But they became dead, ergo the miscarriage. Who killed them? and Why? Still working on question 1? Headline: Air America Hires Dan Rather as Scandal Spokesman P.S. boberin: "P.S. some folks do think about it. They consider life sarting (sp) more when something resembles a human, the lump o' cells does not qualify any more than a sperm or an egg do but both represent "life" just the same" Thinking about it and getting it right aren't synonymous. I assume that they have studied biology, and would know that every living cell has life. A lump of dead cells is just dead cells, but once they were alive. What, or who, made them a lump of dead cells, and why? Somebody puts a hole in your head and you yourself will quickly become a lump of dead cells. The magic of it (which many people fail to understand) is that LIFE was created only once. Afterward it is all REPRODUCTION, not "life-making"! Posted by Major Mojo on 2005-08-03 14:31:33 Top |

Headline: Bush Sends Wilson on Rove Probe Mission From the liger: Washington is electrified with the abundant energy of buzz from a scandal -- speculation about Rove, about Bush, about Cheney's aide, Scooter Libby. Who leaked? Who may have lied? How did Novak slip the noose? But the real scandal is the ongoing mess in Iraq, the murder just the other day of innocent children (is there any other kind?) and the false notion that, somehow, taking out Hussein would make us all safer. London gives the lie to that. Note closely, dear readers, these telling words: "Speculation". This seems to be the only thing the libocrats have going for them on any issue. "May have". A part of the "may-might-could" triad which the left uses too often in attempts to validate their erroneous thinking. Unfortunately too much legislation has been drafted with only "may-might-could" as justification. And at the end, Liger, ask yourself how many attacks have US interests suffered at the hands of terrorists in the last two-plus years? I don't know about you, but I feel a lot safer than I would had, say, Algore or Fn Kerrry been at the helm! Posted by Major Mojo on 2005-07-14 15:01:18 Top |

Headline: Earth-Like Planet Found Near Our Sun It's the parallel universe syndrome. Long ago there was another Earth, 180 degrees from us in the same orbit around the sun. This Earth was a mirror image of ours. Liberals were conservative, and conservatives were liberals. However, through 21st century technology advances it was discovered that that Earth had somehow morphed into our own Earth with people who were on both sides of every issue. For instance, they claimed in the 1990s that Saddam Hussein had, and had used, WMD, but in the 2000s they claimed there never had been WMD. Some of them voted for an issue before they voted against it. They were discoverd to be Democrats. The suggestion to rename the planet Hypo-Crisy1 is still under study. Following in the footsteps of irresponsible journalists before you in misguided efforts to embarrass the President of the United States, you have stupidly endangered every American by breeding hatred for us, and no amount of crawfishing and whitewashing will suffice to rectify that. Furthermore, you have fooled the Muslim world and caused them to commit acts for which they might feel ashamed, and any "apology" you might want to make should be directed to them. Even a "retraction" cannot suffice to assuage the damage you have caused your country, for the Muslim world will only claim that it was done in response to Administration pressures. Headline: Kerry Threatens to Unveil Social Security Plan Field Marshall Mathers: A salute from the Major. Kajun: I'm old enough to get mailings from the AARP and requests to join. I am also smart enough to know that their social agenda is at cross-purposes to the interests of those on fixed incomes (i.e., social security). For instance, they support minimum wage hikes. Their stated reasoning is that old folks (if they work) hold minimum wage jobs. Well, that may be true for a small percentage of them; but the great majority of them do not work, and we all know that the rising tide of minimum wage lifts every wage above it. This has the natural result of increasing prices. Fixed-income recipients (old folks) are hurt the most. But don't try to tell that to the AARP! To cite just one example: About ten years ago you could buy a large dip-cone at Dairy Queen for $1.08. Many local old folks enjoyed a frequent cone. Along came a minimum wage hike and the DQ, which hired mostly min-wage folks, increased the price of the cone to $1.29. While this activity did indeed help a few DQ employees, it really hurt the older customers. Maybe some of the younger folks out there could create a true old-folks-support organization to displace the AARP. Posted by Major Mojo on 2005-04-30 22:00:42 Top |
