After we liberate Iraq, we may need to liberate the poor souls in hell? NAH! Danjo Posted by: Danjo at March 30, 2003 11:18 AMI heard there was a Jacques ChIRAQ pavillion as well. Posted by: Mikey at March 30, 2003 11:40 AMBa'alzemon, flesh eating corrupter of the 5th circle, was seen affixing small shards of broken glass to a rough 1-inch wooden dowell rod. The unnamed spokesmen added that the new construction will not interrupt the current project, expanding the Gates of Hell. We want to be sure that Michael Moore fits comfortably. The spokesmen was quoted as saying "after watching the the awards ceremony we immediatly contacted our engineering department. They concluded that, discounting the ten pounds that TV is known to add, he never would have fit, anyway". The gates should be ready in time for his arrival. When asked how soon that would be the spokesmen answered "have you ever seen that guy eat? He should be here any day now"! Posted by: mike at March 30, 2003 12:24 PMHell needs another new wing for the anti-bush protesters and the media that doesn't cover the atrocities they're committing. My step-son is a Marine stationed at Twenty-Nine Palms. My daughter-in-law told me that when she and the other wives go on base, they have had to go through the protesters while the protesters yell horrid things like "I hope your man dies". My first reaction was a deep desire to kill them all and let God sort 'em out. But then I realized that the left are collectively exposing themselves. No more masks. No more shades of gray. We have seen the enemy and it's the left. Posted by: ams at March 30, 2003 12:45 PMams - those protesters who abuse your son and wife are disgraceful. There should be a "DMZ" around military bases to prevent these idiots from harrassing our bravest citizens. #$###! cowards! Rest assured there is a special Hell Hall just for them. I hope the Coalition turns over all the hideous thugs and henchmen carrying out Saddams hateful bidding to the local populaces and to the Kurds. My bet is they'd tear them to shreds in the public squares and feed them to Satan slowly by the spoonsful. Posted by: AHA at March 30, 2003 02:02 PMToday, the Iraqi Ambassador to the UN stated publicly on television that it was not Saddam and his thugs that gassed the Kurds ..... it was the CIA! He also publicly stated that the reports from Amnesty International and the Human Rights Watch that has, for many years, documented atrocities suffered by the Iraqis from Saddam are lies and propaganda and an instrument of the US and UK to justify this "attack" on the peaceful nation of Iraq. I figure Saddam must have his family in a dungeon. How about that US Ambassador Negroponte walking out of the UN in protest of the ludicrous accusations by this Iraqi mouthpiece? Right on, Ambassador ! Last night, Jeaneane Garafolo stated publicly on TV that people who are protesting the protesters are missing the point of democracy. The other guy on the progam told her that freedom of speech wasn't reserved for her and her fellow protesters.... she was indignant and CONFUSED as to why he just didn't get it. So she took refuge in insults to Fox News anchors and "redneck" inbreeders.... Posted by: AHA at March 30, 2003 02:12 PMThe new wing that Saddam and his boys will occupy will also house an exclusive cafe, The Garafolo Grill, for their dining pleasure. Start your meal with Susan Sarandon Chemical Soup and follow with one of Garafolo's horrible entrees which include the famous Triple MMM big boy special (Michael Moore Meat Plate). Saddam and his boys will likely end their meal with one of the unique desserts on the menu which run the gamut, from Protester Pudding to Bush-Basher Bakes. Reservations required. Posted by: AHA at March 30, 2003 02:22 PMNot to worry about the Left.. they have their own private hell here now the way things are. What could be worse for them than being behind in the polls. Saddam and company (and all his clones) will also be forced to wear full CBR gear from now until hell freezes over... that stuff looks like the devil anyway. Posted by: Phrog Poet at March 30, 2003 02:33 PMams; the craziest and most confusing thing about the abusing protesters, is what exactly are they protesting? If they are protesting against violence, hate, etc. Then why are they wishing violence and spewing such hateful vitriol on others? How can they see themselves as peaceful, loving, transcendant or whatever when they are behaving in such vile ways? Garafolo is right. I don't get it. Maybe I'm an inbred redneck and didn't know it. But my take is,whenever you result to insults and namecalling, your argument (or your communication) is a miserable failure. The good thing is, most of us (Americans, redneck or not) love and appreciate all our troops and want them all home safely. Posted by: Tango at March 30, 2003 03:21 PMams I am currently behind enemy lines and go through this every day. Relax. I've been running the gauntlet of these morons since Vietnam. Their conversations are going to be really easy for our Delta Force Commandos and CIA agents to intercept It's only a matter of time before Baghdad is ours. People seem to forget about our forces that are already inside Baghdad raging the intelligence war because we hear very little about it. Trust me people, we know where Sadam is and his two sons. The Devil is awaiting their arrival. What has me worried is that they are going to use Chemical Weapons once we get inside Baghdad and blame us for it. The Iraqis are already putting the idea out there by accusing us of having these weapons. Stupid bastards. If we really wanted to "extermiate" all Iraqis, like they said we do, we would simply drop "the bomb" on them and turn their asses to glass. It would save a whole of money and American Lives. But we love them so much that we are doing this war the hard way and we aren't getting any appreciation for it. Go figure. And, in my personal opinion, the reason why the rest of the world thinks it's their right to rise up and protest the U.S. in this war is because they can't protest against their own governments without worry of being killed so all of their frustrations, of living their pathetic lives, are being taken out on us. Poor bastards. One more thing and I'm done. If those asshats are going to come to our soil to do suicide bombings, please hit the so called "Peace" rallies first. Thank you. Would the God who destroyed Sodom and Gomorah to protect his people Israel be so blind in the ways of peace that he would turn his back on those in need? How can people JUDGE President Bush's motives without proof or evidence (blood for oil etc.) but not be willing to JUDGE Saddam Hussein's actions in the face of overwhelming evidence? We can hear the cries of the widows and the orphans in Iraq. What would a just God do to us if we left those cries to remain unheeded, unaided, unavenged? I voted for President Bush and I remain behind him if for no other reason than the fact that I trust him. I know he can make mistakes, but if he does, they will be honest mistakes. I cannot believe that he would be such an evil man as to want to kill people for *anyone's* monetary profit. Anyone who has JUDGED President Bush as being capable of something so low doesn't know a thing about him. Question his actions if you believe he is acting with less information than you have (although I sincerely doubt he is... quite to the contrary.) Do not question his sincerity unless you have proof of alternative motives. Michael Moore's excuse for making the statements he did was that the Pope is against this war. Unfortunately the Pope himself doesn't have all of the information available to President Bush. Who's to say that if he did he too would call this a just war? Saddam Hussein has proven his metal, please allow President Bush... right or wrong to prove his! Christ preaches peace... but not the absense of war, but an inner peace (Shalom.) If you are seeking other forms of peace, you are deluding yourself. True peace can come to this imperfect world only through the hands of the perfect (Christ's hands on the Cross.) Absense of war can only come from those who have the strength to demand it and the will to use that strength. Our world has only seen that path to peace once in history... historians call it the PAX ROMANA. We have the ability and the will to form a new peace... PAX AMERICANA. Not with wishful thinking or psychoanalyzing the bad guys to death but by standing up and demanding peace and preventing those who would use war for their own selfish purposes from ever having the strength to do so. It is universally recognized that using deadly force in defense of a third person is not wrong. I suspect that the only reason this "blood for oil" mantra has even come up is that people who already have a bone to pick with the President couldn't possibly believe that he has a darn good reason to make the decisions he's made. Time will tell if his decisions were good or bad and our time to judge him will be in November of 2004. Until then don't presume to think you know more than he does. foamius... you sure have access to information the rest of us don't. Either that or you are reading a lot into this. The only people I've heard with timetables and strategy are the Monday Morning Quarterbacks assisting the talking heads on TV... I haven't seen any detailed war plans... and if you have watch out... divulging that could be considered Treason. (Happy Greyhawk?) ;) Posted by: Bruce at March 30, 2003 11:13 PMsorry God Bruce Scott All SNOWBALLS!! SNOWBALLS FOR SALE!! Get your icy cold SNOWBALLS!!! Oh, Mr. Saddam, we're all out. Eventually the blessing God has given the world by expanding America's influence will go away. Then will come a time of untold horror as immoral and unreligious Europe rules the world. What then will become of the "Iraq's" of the world (of which America will be one)? There will be no humanitarian efforts. There will be no avoidance of civilian casualities. There will be no decapitation strikes. There will ONLY be total war. Then "They (shall) cry peace, peace, but there is (will be) no peace." Jeremiah 6:14 What the American haters desire is not far off. The man who wrapped his barn in a yellow ribbon after a local mayor stated no yellow ribbons on public property had it right when he said, "God bless America is a popular statement around here. People need to wake up, God has already blessed America. What we need to do now is not [tick] him off." We have been [ticking] God off a lot over the last 40 plus years. "For the three men I admired most, the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, they took the last train for the coast, the day the music died." Dear Bruce, Five companies were invited by the US agency for international development (USAid) to bid for a $600m (£381m) contract to rebuild Iraq's basic infrastructure. Only US companies were invited to bid, to the fury of British industrialists and unions, who pointed out that British troops are fighting alongside American soldiers. The five companies also had close ties to the Bush administration, sparking accusations that the White House was returning favours for generous political campaign contributions. Allegations of unduly cozy ties between the Bush administration and corporate benefactors has dogged the White House, going back to the scandal over Enron, the failed energy company. Always yours, Posted by: Frenchman at March 31, 2003 08:44 AMFrenchman, if what you say it true... Why should the US offer contracts (the cost of which will be borne by US taxpayers) to companies in another country? Here's a simple solution. Let the British government shoulder the cost of a $600 million dollar rebuilding program of their OWN and offer it to THEIR own companies. Get real. Do you imagine for one second that if the Brits were paying for a project, they'd give the contract to another country? Posted by: AHA at March 31, 2003 09:17 AMFrenchtry, Has it ever occurred to you that Contracts have Sub-Contracts? Or do you not understand how free enterprise works? Posted by: nosingaround at March 31, 2003 03:06 PMBruce If I recall correctly, back in the day when public education meant that you were taught information to learn and influence your thinking- not just to feel better about yourself- the PAX ROMANA only came about AFTER the Roman Empire had defeated all of its neighbors. After defeating the ëknown worldí they still maintained a large army that was responsible for building roads, aqueducts, etc. It is infantile, ridiculous and counter to human nature to believe that everyone will be nice to each other and not take advantage of othersí weaknesses. Look at world historyÖ appeasing tyrants only makes them think there is weakness- and bullyís always manipulate weakness!!! I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said ëvisualize world peaceí- and I did for .832 secondsÖ during that time of visualization- leaders of numerous countries came to my mind (saddam Hussein, kim il jong, etc) who murder, manipulate and subjugate their ëowní people- build monuments and mansions for themselves while their citizenry starve to death.. ya- visualization works for athletes (I know I coach)- but guess what lefties- at some point you must do something!!! Life isnít a spectator sport- at some point you must utilize some energy and do some work-yes, it makes you tired, isnít easy and does cause some discomfort- but when you are finished you can see the fruit of your labor. I can visualize going to my job- but my ëbossí isnít going to be happy when nothing gets done!!! At this time the President of the United States has deemed it necessary to remove a threat to EVERY American and with a special ëbonusí- liberate 24+ million people. So keep on visualizing lefties- maybe that is why you failed out of college and went into entertainment- so you didnít have to deal with reality and you can surround yourself with people who only want to appease youÖ because they themselves have no marketable skills but they are looking for their 15 minutes of fame!!!! Posted by: hrdlordi at March 31, 2003 03:48 PMMy wife and her dad both work for a big oil company... I have good friends who were laid off from both Enron and Arthur Andersen... one cousin who still works for Enron. Several of my customers are oil and gas companies. You see it's hard to live in Texas and not have links with "Big Oil." What does that prove? Just because a supposed link is there doesn't prove a lack of integrity. On the contrary, when The President's "friends" in Enron went to him for a bailout he gave them a big goose-egg he let them fail rather than tarnish the Oval Office... does that sound like a man who would start a war for "some of his closest friends?" To answer your question, links to Enron and "Big Oil" has nothing to do with integrity. Integrity means you do what's right no matter what the cost. If you think integrity means no ties to large companies, you are going to be looking hard to find people qualified to run any nation. When the Iraqi people are fully in control of the Iraqi oil supply, world oil prices will plummet... Bush's "friends" would do better without the Iraqi oil on the world market because their oil would be worth more. You remember high school economics? Supply and Demand? There may be a short term benefit to the higher oil prices right now, but when this war is over, I expect another oil bust. That will deeply hurt Bush's "oil buddies" but will be great for the rest of the country. The Democrats make allegations because ever since Watergate they know that scandal is the only way they can win the White House. They sure can't do it on common sense. That is the only reason there are all these allegations. They have little to nothing to do with the truth. Fortunately most Americans can see through that ruse and false scandals never take hold. I used to work for Borden's and I have another cousin who works for Dreyer's. I also own property near Brenham, TX. Does that mean I can't run for President because I have ties to "Big Ice Cream?" With friends like that, who needs Democrats? Posted by: Bruce at March 31, 2003 03:53 PMHrdlordi... Actually that's my point. That is one of the reasons I'm behind President Bush... he is working on building a PAX AMERICANA. The UN sure doesn't have the courage to do it. My question to them, if its such a TOUGH job, why do you spend, hundreds of thousands, and even, millions, to win a job, that is so tough, and unrewarding? Give me a #$%@ing break! P.S. The ones I've known, (politicans), get allowances for practically EVERYTHING, food, housing, car and/or gas allowances, IN ADDITION to their pay. Most times they are wined and dined by lobbyists, lawyers, friends, or other a$$ kissers wanting something! ooh little Frenchman ohhh little Frenchman hey maybe you can try and steel it from Algeria again to bad all the rebuiding contracts in FREE IRAQ are all going to The Vice President of America ouuhh little france will be left out ...poor baby's Posted by: all mine none for you at March 31, 2003 05:29 PMsusan serin-done Even the local politicans get, FULL time pay, for a PART time job. It seems most of it is proven wrong the next day. Forget it guys your government has lost all credibility. Bush is out of silly excuses to attack Irak. We know he is a member of this sect you call "Christian coalition". They are just a bunch of hypocrits who want to look like good churh boys when they are really looking for money, sex, power and fame like the rest of us. Wake up,You are being manipulated. It works with you but it didn't work in Europe. The image of America is starting to deteriorate here fast. I am sick of those stupid comments like French people not taking showers. When I was in the US, people were asking me if we had washing machines and satellite TV.... You should travel more. You guys need guns in every house because you fear even your neibors. And Bush is using this fear. Shock and oil!!! Funny to hear the French side of the news about the war. Especially since your precious coward ChiraQ has started to make noises of appeasement toward the MIGHTY USA once he discovered he landed his nation on the OUTSIDE, looking IN. You need to get it - we don't CARE if you don't like us, think we're ignorant, don't agree with our reasons for going to war, or think we're being manipulated. All you need to know is that we're also BIG, we're also POWERFUL and now we're also PISSED. So all you sniveling two-bit wanna-be-a-presence-on-the-world-stage better watch out. YOU might be next. Posted by: AHA at April 3, 2003 09:39 AM Sorry but I am no longer impressed by your delirious macho comments. I have seen them too often here. Oh, I voted for Bush to stay _govenor_. I didn't think it fair to the country to let him wander outside of TX on his own. (No, I don't consider him very intelligent. But I'm relieved to see that at least he's smart enough to pick people who know what they're doing.) Still. He _is_ the President of the only Superpower left in the world, and deserves that much respect, leaving aside the fact he has the personal honor to follow through on his word. Oh, and the US has been proven right. Very first missile launches by Iraq were with illegal missiles, and (was it the missiles? I don't remember) it's proven they had Russian-made _contraband_, so designated by the _UN_ after Gulf War I. Get the story straight. Besides, we're supposed to care what other countries think? We're not the ones who voted for something, and then refused to follow through on it, like France and Germany did. And if France had kept from pressuring Turkey as they did, this war would already be _OVER_, like as not. So France is guilty for how many more deaths, American _and_ Iraqi, that will be caused by the lack of sufficient troops to have finished this off sooner? At least we aren't supporting a sadistic monster who has his people fire on CHILDREN, who lets his forces use the wives and children of those who aren't part of his political/religious group for SHIELDS. At least we aren't using religious shrines of deep cultural/religious importance, or HOSPITALS as places to stage attacks from, knowing the other side wants nothing to do with destroying them. At least we're feeding our TROOPS, instead of sending them on suicide missions, and not feeding them for two days, as was done to at least two of the feehadyin(sp?). At least we've not purposely cut off an entire town's _WATER SUPPLY_, after using them as civilian "backup" with a no-reason execution to show what would happen if they didn't comply. Unlike Certain People, I've been watching the war; mother (one of the posters here) keeps it on CNN or Fox nearly non-stop. The live video feed is pretty bloody hard to "fix". I've _seen_ the coalition forces being fired on by people in civies, _seen_ them taking fire and not returning, because there were Iraqi cits being used as shields, _seen_ the hospitals that were converted to temporary HQs complete with torture equipment. Any government that is so callous as to permit that needs to not exist. I personally could care less if he's got WMDs or not. I don't care if he's violated the sanctions or not. His people are suffering, he is not. We gave him a chance to seek asylum elsewhere. He chose to put his people in this war, by not doing what was best for _them_. His m.o. has never changed, and the "Arab world" said, what, 12 years ago now?, that it would take care of Saddam. One of life's lessons: if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. And that's what's being done now. Posted by: Jessamine at April 3, 2003 10:48 AMJessamine. I agree with you on most of your above comment (yes it's true even though I am French). but: 1)You say that you gave Saddam a chance to seek asylium elsewhere. Ok but again this was an unilateral ultimatum from Bush. Maybe you could have gained legitimacy by convincing the UN to vote a resolution on this. France would probably have agreed to this. 2)about the illegal missiles used by Saddam: Frogmarch - it's MACHA. Cretin. Posted by: AHA at April 3, 2003 12:21 PMInteresting the way you and your like keep mentioning civilian casualties caused by Americans. Did you have any criticism directed at Saddam and his thugs about the ONE-MILLION plus Iraqis that Saddam has killed, apparently just "because"? Did you criticize all the Iranian civilian casualties, the Kuwaiti civilian casualties, Kurdish civilian casualties? TEN THOUSAND civilian casualties in this war would be less than that. Are you suggesting Saddam be left alone to continue his genocide? In the years that Saddam ignored the UN resolutions, do you have ANY idea how many children (about 80,000 per year, according to Human Rights Watch) died from starvation alone! This doesn't even take into account the lack of medical care, occasional killing campaigns by his henchmen and disappearances. This, while your hero was living in the lap of luxury, building 50 new palaces and funding WMD. You're pathetic, immoral and worse, your criticism of the US is transparent. (Describing French foreign policy) "Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools, they don't have brains enough to be honest." ~Ben Franklin~
Saddam was responsible but people also died in Irak because of the Embargo. You are living in a fantasy world. If the US cares so much about the poor Iraki people, why were they so friendly with Saddam before the 1991 Gulf war? Why did you supply the helicopters that were used to gas the kurds? I don't know if my criticism is transparent but I can sure see through what Bush is saying. Posted by: frogwatch at April 4, 2003 04:14 AMFrogwatch you are so right! I just want you to know not everyone here disagrees with you people. Also I know that you use soap. Are you a man or woman? I have no preference for you, just curious. I am a man. Should I write my name at the bottom when it is also on the bottom automatically? I don't know what is proper. Iraqis died during the embargo because Saddam STOLE the food and medicine money to pay for over 50 new palaces in just 12 yrs (cost so astronomical it hasn't yet been calculated) and weapons programs. Those Iraqi civilian deaths were Saddam's fault. And don't blame the US for the sanctions/embargo if you think that was unfair - that was put in place and managed by the UN who still have billions of Iraqi money in escrow. That's a specious argument and whether or not we were friendly to Saddam is irrelevant. The example that will be set by installing a moderate gov in Iraq is that if you turn into a fanatic, the US will come and eliminate you/your government because we have discovered that fanatic governments and those that oppress their people breed terrorists. Just why do you think the nations of the world - especially those headed by dictators/despots/two-faced are so NERVOUS lately? I don't really CARE what Bush's "true" message is or what his "secret" reasons are for the war on terrorism, this Iraqi war and the Afghan war. Whatever the motivation, the end result is that he is One thing I have noticed about the Arabs - their societies are primitive enough that they only respect a fearsome entity. Now they can FEAR/respect the US which translates into second thoughts about pursuing terrorism against us. If the Arab Street thinks the US is cruel etc... all the better. They have to wrap their brains around the new notion that they can't allow their fanatics to act with impunity against US. Better still, their governments will have to keep a clamp on them if they don't want us to blame them! QUESTION: Do you think, because we might have been friendly pre-1991 with Saddam, for whatever reason, we are then obligated to leave him alone to continue a regime of atrocities? (Please see indict.org) If that were the case, then we would have been obligated to leave the Nazis alone while they practiced their atrocities. The US was friendly with Germany before WWII and England tried to remain friendly with Hitler before they got into WWII. Do you suppose Hitler should have been left to operate with impunity? Why should Saddam now be given consideration not afforded his predecessor, Hitler? Because he's from an Islamic nation? ~source unknown~ "A friend of mine is an officer in the naval reserve. A few weeks ago, he was attending a conference that included admirals in both the US and the French Navies. At a cocktail reception, my friend found himself in a small group that included an admiral from each of the two Navies. The French admiral started complaining that whereas Europeans learned many languages, Americans only learned English. He then asked. "Why is it that we have to speak English in these conferences rather than you have to speak French?" Without even hesitating, the American admiral replied. "Maybe it is because we arranged it so that you did not have to learn to speak German." The group became silent."

B) The correct spelling is immoral C) See paragraph #3 above D) We have been fighting for 2 weeks + 1 or 2 days. The takeover of Baghdad airport occurred yesterday. I just saw a US soldier walking through a crowd of dancing Baghdad citizens as people threw him flowers and kissed him. I am ashamed. I was there, in Basrah, in 1991. I saw the Iraqi people and I know the Iraqi people. I gave them what I could and it was never enough, because after I promised them, with all my heart, that they were safe with me, I left. Now I watch the Iraqi people celebrate and I cry tears of joy and sadness and I wish I could have been there. And I will always know how truly wrong Michael Moore and his evil cronies are. Despite Michale Moore's 'Bowling for Columbine' lies, Saddam invaded Kuwait using weapons supplied by Germany, France, South Africa, Brazil, Syria, Jordan, China and the Soviet Union. This fact is apparently lost on fans of the film, where the statement regarding US weapons in the Kuwait invasion is overlaid on a film showing Soviet BMP-2 Infantry Combat Vehicles. a.)
