Bush Claims Victory in Iraq Dispute
(2003-03-14) -- At a press conference today, Pres. George Bush claimed victory in the Iraq dispute, following the ouster of British Prime Minister Tony Blair by his own party. ìWe said all along that it was about regime changeî Mr. Bush told reporters. When asked if he was disappointed not to have achieved the goal of eliminating Iraqís weapons of mass destruction, Mr. Bush said ìwin some, lose some, but at least we achieved our primary goal of regime change.î Mr. Bush also confidently predicted that his policies would result in further regime changes, specifically referring to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Mexico. Mr. Bush closed the news conference by stating ìItís now time to put this Iran thing behind us and get on with our main goal of bringing Christian fundamentalism to all our school children.î

Note the two main differences between Rich Leng's contribution above and Scrappleface. The later displays: 1) wit; and 2)some sign that its authors actually read the newspapers (one way or another, we *did* rid Saddam of his weapons of mass destruction!).
