Leadership Vacuum May Spur Graham White House Run
(2002-12-24) -- U.S. Senator Bob Graham, D-FL, told a radio audience today that he may run for President in 2004 because he's "not satisifed with the direction we are being lead today."
"Our nation is a mess," said Sen. Graham, "and clearly the other six potential Democrat candidates don't have a clue what to do about it. My candidacy would be a statement that our top party leaders are ideologically bankrupt. Four veteran Senators (Lieberman, Kerry, Edwards and Daschle), a governor (Dean), and the top-ranked House Democrat (Gephardt). Is that the best we can offer?"

I am curious as to whom Hillary would choose as a running mate in 2004 if she does "go for it". I think it may be Gore. Then again, I have a gut feeling that Gore believes that the 2004 candidate may be just a piece of meat throw to the dogs. George Bush is going to be hard to defeat. I have a heard time buying the fact that the presidentially-obsessed Gore will stay away. He may be back in 2008, knowing 2004 would be a waste.
Then again, who in their right mind could possible guess what will take place. It's a free-for-all, or a free fall, or both.
George Bush is going to be hard to defeat.
Uh, they said the same thing about his daddy after DS-1, IIRC.
