That is so unfair -- Shame on them Posted by: dPhilc at November 14, 2002 02:44 PM"These amazing new hybrids grow larger and live longer than any 'natural' variety of brine shrimp." I am so ashamed of myself, when I was a boy I saw an ad for Sea Monkeys in the back of a comic book. Every kid knows if it is in a comic book you can count on it being true, honest and real! After they arrived I placed them in the tank and watched in expectation of Monkeys that live in the sea. But to my horror all I saw was brine shrimp! My shame is that I flushed the whole lot of them, mothers, sons, fathers and daughters! It is something I must live with, I face it every day! Please Foegive Me! Posted by: Jeff Zimmermann at November 14, 2002 05:30 PMah, the false advertising of sea monkeys don't bug me that much (although i loved the bit about "the sea monkey, standing with his wife and two children in front of their small castle"). what really got me is x-ray glasses! see through your hand and girl's clothes! man, were those ever a rip off!! Posted by: skippy at November 14, 2002 08:04 PMThe guy who figured out a way to successfully market BRINE SHRIMP as pets deserves some strange variant of the Nobel Prize in Economics. Posted by: rufus at November 15, 2002 04:14 AM"The guy who figured out a way to successfully market BRINE SHRIMP as pets deserves some strange variant of the Nobel Prize in Economics." >>> Stiff competition. He finished third. Its a viscious bandy for the Nobel and there a few real winners. The sea-monkeys dare to protest the U.N.? How simplisme of them! The gall, to act in such a unilateral way! We shall have none of their aquatic cowboy diplomacy! Posted by: Maarten Schenk at November 15, 2002 07:07 AMthis is the most idiotic thing i have ever heard of! sea monkeys are brine shrimp, NOT PEOPLE OR DOGS! Whoever did this should realize what a fool you making of yourself!
